This two-bedroom cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, wrap-around lake-view deck with gas grill, and a large bathroom with a deep tub perfect for soaking. A pier space is available for boat docking, so bring it along and get ready to make memories! Webster Lake is an all-sports lake known for both its ski team and its fishing, so this lake is perfect for both the action-oriented and those who prefer to take it easy and cast a few lines. This particular property features a bench that sits in the lakefront yard and is rumored to provide the lake's best fishing, not requiring a boat at all, though that rumor hasn't been substantiated. Bedroom one (the master) features a comfortable queen-sized bed and bedroom two features a full-sized bed as well as a portable crib, for those who need it. The living room includes a fold down couch (futon) for additional sleeping space. The fully-equipped kitchen includes all you need to prepare a meal, with both drip and Keurig coffee brewers. Linens and towels provided - just bring your groceries, yourselves, and your boat (if desired). In addition to allowing all sports, Webster Lake features a small swimming beach, a lakefront restaurant, and the opportunity to ride the historic Dixie. Additionally, charming antique shops, "mom and pop" restaurants, and activities all are nearby!

Total Overstatement. We made the best of it.
The photo may be of lake Webster, but it's not the view you'll wake up to. The dock to park our boat was in about 1-1/2 feet of dense, weed filled, backwater channel and also the view you'll look out on to from the deck. The outdoor garbage can hadn't been emptied, so we had to put garbage out on the deck, which the animals of course tore up every night. There are no curtains or blinds in the living room, so forget about being "comfy", since the neighbors can look right in. All of the closets were pad locked closed so don't worry about hanging your clothes. The cookware is in very poor shape and needs replacing. They say there is a Keurig coffee maker, but there isn't. If asked if we would spend our vacation here again, we would say no.
Now that I've ragged on about the things we didn't like, I'll give a few positives. The place is redone, the paint is relatively fresh and it was clean. The bed in the master was comfortable, the carpet was nice. There are air conditioners in the living room and both bedrooms.
Great cottage right on the lake.
The house was very clean upon arrival. It was everything we needed for a weekend stay. I do have a couple suggestions. The railing around the wrap around deck is very wobbly and needs replaced. Also it would be nice to have outdoor lights for playing cornhole at night. Lastly, we noticed one side of the house had tall piles of scrap wood and boards laying around the yard. Cleaning that up would make it look better. That would be a nice touch to draw people out for activities on the property. Overall we had a great stay.
We stayed at the cottage during a short visit to Indiana for a family reunion. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with the necessary utensils. The mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee were my favorite times.
Very cozy, quiet cottage beside the lake
Certainly much more of a spring, summer, or fall destination but suited our need nicely for or son’s basketball tournament. Owner accommodations were well appreciated. Well insulated from the cold. May need an upgrade on cooking pots and pans but otherwise suitable. Internet service not available and would make a nice upgrade to cottage. Overall very pleasant.
