Welcome to Mimi's Lodges!
The Mama Bear Cabin is stacked-log cabin. It is approximately 2,400 square feet and has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms spread over two levels. It is an easy 5-minute walk to the lake or to local restaurants.
The main floor has a great room with large TV and DVD player, well-equipped kitchen, dining area, laundry room, bathroom with a shower, and kids bunk room (bedroom #4).
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king bed, a set of twin bunks, a balcony, and an en-suite bathroom. There is another bedroom with a king bed and a set of twin bunks. The last bedroom has a king bed. These two bedrooms share the hall bathroom. The upstairs back windows have lake views.
The entire house is available for renter use except the garage.
Out the front door is a patio with picnic tables, chairs, and a propane BBQ grill. There is a children's play set between Mama Bear and Baby Bear which is shared between the two cabins.
The hot tub is covered and is located behind the house.
Our site manager is available to answer questions during check-in and lives close by. You can also contact me if you have any questions.
There is a city park about 2 blocks south of the cabin. It has a kids playground, a large covered pavilion and a large grassy field. To the east of the city park is a boardwalk that goes through some wetlands to the lake.
There are two restaurants next door: Bear Trapper Steak house and Bear Lake Pizza. The Bear Trapper steak house caters. The other restaurants in town are within walking distance.
For larger groups, see our other listings. The Baby Bear Cabin sleeps up to 8. The Papa Bear Family Reunion Lodge can handle groups up to 50. Or, for *really* large groups, you can rent all three cabins as they are all adjacent to each other on 1.25 acres of land.
Dear Reader: Please note that while we have made changes and upgrades to the cabin (gone are the lace curtains, floral wallpaper, and teal and rose carpets), the kitchen is not state of the art. There are no granite counter tops or expensive cabinetry. If you can look past the pink counters and inexpensive cabinets, you will find a kitchen that will serve you well during your vacation. The cabin is comfortable, inviting, in an excellent location, and a good value.
