Sunrise to Sunset Lakehouse Rental Our Waterfront Happy Place!

We welcome all guests to our warm, inviting Lakehouse on the north shore of Oneida Lake.
Where we enjoy a view of the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening.
Please make note the fish jumping out of the water will literally put you at awe and take your breath away!
IDEAL PLACE FOR A RETREAT OF ANY KIND
SMALL WEDDING PARTY GATHERINGS. FISHING TRIP WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY OR A FAMILY REUNION
Sleeps 8-10 comfortably. Each bedroom has 2 beds. 3 rooms with a double bed and single bed and one room with two single beds.
Minimum 2 night stay, extra guests at no charge
Kitchen is equipped with coffee maker, microwave, fridge, 4 burner electric stove with oven, all the dishes, pots and pans, spices and utensils you could possibly need.
Pack lightly because we have a washer and dryer for your use downstairs.
Large dining room and 3 sitting/living rooms downstairs.
Bathrooms: one upstairs and one downstairs.
Plenty of linens provided as well as a blow dryer.
Most rooms have a beautiful view of the lake!
Large back yard with sidewalk down to the lake.

This was our first time to Oneida Lake, and we had a lovely stay at Sunrise and Sunset! The large house accompanied our group well, and had all of the amenities we needed (including a grill, life vests, and more)! There is a bit of a walk down a hill to the fire pit and dock, but there are lighted steps to help guide your way.

Great Experience

We had a great time staying at Pam and Doug’s lakehouse. It is priced reasonably for the area which I appreciated, and has a beautiful view of the Oneida lake. Pam and Doug are also very friendly and welcoming. Overall was a great experience.

Great Lake getaway

Perfect Location

Plenty of room for all of us. A grocery store 2 minutes away. And a short walk to the lake where the kids had hours of fun. Couldn't ask for a better fit. Thanks for a great week!

Beginning from our initial inquiry, throughout our planning, during our stay, and after checkout, Pam and Doug made our vacation worry free. Yes, the home is thoroughly cleaned and well appointed. The lake, dock, and fire pit are awesome. Grill, picnic table, kayaks and canoe with life preservers…..check. The air conditioning maintains a comfortable environment throughout the home in mid 90 degree temperatures. The warmth and charm of the sunroom with daybed, the many beautiful quilts that invite a cuddle, and the family sized dining table provided a place for gathering and relaxation. It was all great, but made even better through the kindness of the hosts. If you have a specific question, you only have to ask. There are multiple spaces to be together or alone. Multiple televisions, easy Wi-Fi, and interesting games. The house really lends itself to you determining how to spend your time instead of being limited by what you bring with you.

Great place!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The house is well situated, right on the water with a beautiful dock. Huge yard. Kitchen is very well appointed with everything you need to cook. The owners were fantastic and we really appreciated some of the little extras that were there, such as the bowl of fruit. We will absolutely stay here again we come back into the area.

Perfect vacation!

The house is wonderful! Everything is incredibly clean, the location is amazing and everything you could possibly want/need is there. We had three generations, from my 97 year old mother to my three year old grandson, and everyone was more than comfortable and had a great time. We will definitely be returning next summer.

Great getaway

Exceptionally clean. Very attentive owners on-site. The kitchens and bathrooms were well stocked with whatever we needed, and the bedrooms all had a comfy cozy feeling with handmade quilts. The eagles over the bay were awesome to watch and the view over the lake was very pretty. The fishing, 2 points to the west, was great by the point with the picnic table. Highly Recommend!

Oneida fishing trip 2024

This property is really nice with plenty of room for 8 people. The owners, Pam and Doug are there on the property in a small cottage on the property and are wonderful people. For fishing, we did well fighting the wind just about the whole week. We all had a great time. Thank you for sharing your home with us !!! We will be staying here again in the future !!!

Had an awesome time

The house was perfect for our 2 family 3 nights stay. Lake view, fire pit, kayak and hammock topped off our experience. Will definitely recommend and we plan on visiting again. A couple of things to improve on - beds were somewhat squeaky; a second standing shower would have been helpful. These are not show stoppers by any means.

Perfect for a long weekend of golf.

The Lake House usually i'm sure is rented more to fisherman than golfers. But it was perfect for our group of 7 golfers from Montreal, Canada with a lot of golf courses within 35 minutes of the house. It was a pleasure to comeback after the round of golf an enjoy a little drink with the view on Lake Oneida.

Very nice to stay, very good people to deal with, Place is very clean and kept. Kitchen & bathrooms are stocked very well with supplies. The decor is very well put together with the lake charm theme as well. More than enough room for a bunch of people, Dock is newer and sturdy. Didn’t get a chance to enjoy the fire pit or the tiki bar, next time maybe. Will be back in the future.

The Salmon Fishing Trip

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Lakehouse on Oneida! We traveled up for the week to fish the salmon river. Not a great week of fishing, but the house made our stay so enjoyable. Plenty of room for the seven of us, clean, well furnished, plenty of amenities, beautiful location with lake access (I should have brought the boat or a couple kayaks like I intended too), and all of the small things are thought of. So many rental properties leave something to be desired, not this one. I was thrilled with the house, and the home owners are awesome! Thank you again for sharing your home. Sincerely, Ian

Overall Lovely

I needed a place to host extended family members for a day or two at a time. The house had more than enough room to host dinners and play games. The fire pit area is breathtaking! We swam everyday the weather permitted. It is very seaweedy so water shoes are a must. Air conditioners and fans in the bedrooms upstairs was great as we are accustomed to cooler temperatures at night. I was nervous about the other cottages on property and what that would do for our privacy but the owners are so accommodating and nice. I rent different property's a couple times a year and never have had the necessities the owners put into this rental. Shampoos and paper towels. Gas for the grill provided. They had mats and kayaks for us to use. A lot of essentials that made our trip so much more enjoyable. Would definitely come again.

Loved our experience!

My wife and I brought our 3 girls to stay at Sunrise to Sunset in late July, and genuinely enjoyed every minute. We had never been to Lake Oneida before, so we really weren't sure what to expect. We were delighted to find that the property we selected is a true gem! As soon as we stepped foot inside the house, it was apparent how much pride Pam and Doug have taken in their vacation home and the length to which they've gone to make it feel warm and welcoming. Being fans of HGTV, we really appreciated the restored beauty of the historic house and recent renovation. But the main attraction of course is the lakefront. Internet photos don't do it justice at all. We spent hours on the newly built dock, in the lake, on the anchored multiple person oversized floating lounge, around the fire, and on the hammocks just relaxing, being together and taking in the beauty. We were also delighted to learn that Oneida Boat Rentals would deliver stand up paddle boards, which we used right from the dock for a full day, and loved. There is an aura of pride and ambition that Pam and Doug have for their renovation of the historic property and hosting their guests. The main house is complete and beautiful, and the two guest houses close to the water are in-progress and you can picture how breathtaking they will soon be. In terms of feeling taken care of, Pam and Doug couldn't have been more thoughtful and attentive... a handwritten welcome note in the kitchen, the first fire in the firepit built and ready to light, the raised worm garden near the dock for fishing, chocolates in the sitting room, and the list goes on... What genuinely pleasant and simply good people. At the end of the day, the ultimate test is whether or not you would return. In this case, all five of us agreed - without hesitation. We would love to come and stay again! Thank you Pam and Doug!

Salmon Fishing the Salmon River with family and friends

Location was awesome, hosts were awesome, responsive, and friendly. Would stay here again and again. The drive to the Salmon River was only a short driving distance away and took roughly 20 minutes to a half an hour.

Friends annual fishing trip 18 yrs.

This property was absolutely great. Very, very well appointed and comfortable with much room and privacy. Access to Oneida Lake with boat dock. Ramp access just down the road. Pam and Doug treat you like old friends and really enhance your stay. Great place for friends, or family if you enjoy lake living and a country atmosphere. Fishing was good as well. Don’t hesitate. This is the pearl in the oyster of places to stay.

Oneida Lake House

Everything worked out great. The house had a solid dock right on the water for our kayaks and raft. Doug and Pam were wonderful hosts who actually live right there in a smaller home on the property.

Great lake house getaway

We had a wonderful week at Pam and Doug's lake house. The grounds are lovely and having coffee on the deck each morning was a great way to start the day. The firepit was a great way to end the day too. The house was large and comfortable, allowing family members multiple areas to hang out but we all seemed to navigate to the screened-in porch. We spent time at Sylvan Beach and also went to Alexandria Bay and toured the 1000 islands via boat. We went to the nearby Grace Tyler winery on Friday evening for outside live music, wine and appetizers - it was perfect. Thanks for a perfect week (well, the weather could have been better though)

My husband and I originally are from upstate NY. We are now snow chicks and work in NY in the summer and Florida in the winter. We have our children, grandchildren and other family in NY
We enjoy the beautiful weather in NY spring to fall.
We found this property by driving between the homes of our two children, it is halfway. From the first time I saw this home I was drawn to it. It took a bit of convincing my husband as it was a big undertaking for both of us to renovate it. He is a carpenter and fortunately he agreed the home truly needed us to bring it back to life.
If this doesnt sound too crazy, the house has a peaceful feeling.
We look forward to the entrepreneurship of renting our property and meeting new people from all over the world and especially those close to home.
The feeling of being at the lake has been something that is just so difficult to describe.
We can just sit down by the lake watching the ducks and geese swim by, the fish jumping out of the water, the beautiful sunrise and sunsets and feel at peace. It truly is beauty at it's best.
