Beautiful 180 m2 house with 5 bedrooms (all new high quality beds), 2 full bathrooms, washer, dryer, and a/c in all rooms but 2 which have ceiling fans. There is wireless internet and English satellite TV.
The house has great views of the Med and is all about outdoor living. The 80 m2 patio has a built in sofa area with a gas fire pit, marble outdoor dining table that seats 10 people and a outside traditional BBQ.. The large yard is enclosed by a high wall with many fruit and palms trees, a big pool and a great tree fort for kids.
Located in an exclusive neighbourhood called Roc de Sant Gaieta, a unique area with large homes up on a hill covered with trees overlooking the Med. A 5 minute walk to various white sand beaches and small coves.
You can also walk to quaint Roman village via a stone path along the sea. The town has lots of shops, restaurants on cliffs, a bakery, supermarket, pharmacy etc.
The town, Roda de Bara, is a small village on the Costa Dorada south of Barcelona(45 minute drive - 70 km) and 25 km north of Tarragona.

Great house, great location

The house was ideal for our group of five adults and two children. The pool, garden and outside areas were fantastic. The house is of a good size and we were able to spend hours in the pool or on the large patio. The location is great - numerous beaches in walking distance as well as plenty of restaurants and the all important bakery for the morning bread. A lovely stay.

Das Haus und der Garten sind toll- wir haben den Pool geliebt! Meistens haben wir uns auf der Terrasse aufgehalten- dank Markise im Schatten. Der Weg zum Strand ist nicht weit ( aber bergrunter). Es gibt einige schöne Städte in der Nähe und auch Barcelona erreicht man gut mit der Bahn. Wir empfehlen das Haus!

Wir hatten in diesen Haus einen tollen Urlaub. Der Garten ist wundervoll und gepflegt. Zum Morgenkaffee hat man schon einen tollen Blick auf das Meer und die Küste. Die Gegend ist gehoben und bis auf den Camping-Platz in der Nähe sehr ruhig. Es gibt im Haus reichlich Platz und alles nötige ist vorhanden. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert.

The house and the location are perfect for one or two families, very close to the beach and supermarkets as well as good restaurants. The house is very comfortable with a spacious, well-kept garden. Mark an excellent host, at the beginning there was a small problem that Mark from England solved as soon as possible and very kindly. The people who take care of the house and the garden are also very friendly. We will be back

Toppensemester i Roda de Bara

Stort och rymligt hus med fantastisk terrass och härligt poolområde. Perfekt med gångavstånd till stranden och olika restauranger. Enkelt att få tillgång till nycklar och även enkelt att lämna huset. Vi fick mycket bra information inför vistelsen som vi hade glädje av. Vi bodde 10 personer i huset samtidigt och upplevde det inte som trångt.

Bra hus för flergenerations-semester!

Vi bodde tre generationer (från 1 års ålder till 70) i vecka 27, 2019, i detta smakfullt inredda hus med lugnt läge och fantastiskt fin utsikt. Vi hade det jättebra! Funktionellt kök med alla bekvämligheter. En bra pool som barnen älskade att bada i, fina platser utomhus både för lunch/middag, och för de vuxna att mysa i på kvällskvisten. Vi njöt varje kväll av utsikten och lugnet! Det faktum att det var en promenad på endast cirka en halv kilometer till en barnvänlig och trevlig strand är ett stort plus. ”The master-bedroom” på andra våningen var verkligen läckert! Vi var där en riktigt varm vecka, och de som sov i de tre (av fem) sovrummen med AC sov allra bäst. Sköna sängar. Vi hade lite frågor när vi kom ....om hur man sätter på varmvattnet, hur man hanterar AC:n etc, så det hade nog varit en fördel om någon mött upp just när vi kom. Det var dock inga problem för den trevlige och tjänstvillige vaktmästaren att svara på frågor eller komma snabbt vid behov. Jag anar att huset stått stängt ett tag innan vi anlände, då det kändes gott att vädra ut ordentligt. Man bör ha bil. Tågen stannar endast i grannbyn, och det är en bra bit att gå både till närmaste livsmedelsbutik och till närmaste busshållplats. Själva byn är verkligen gullig och det går en otroligt vacker promenadslinga längs havet från vår strand till byn. Trevliga strandrestauranger lite överallt! Vi rekommenderar gärna denna plats och detta hus!

Villa with a view

We had an excellent week at Roda de Bara. The villa is very comfortable with an excellent patio area with fire pit and table tennis. Built on a hill the garden is nicely done with a lawn falling away to the swimming pool. With a walled garden and gated entrance the children could roam at will. the beach is a short hop down the hill where the swimming is safe and shallow for all ages of children. The promenade has a few bars and restaurants and the majority of people seemed to be Spanish. All 'toys' are available on the beach but a pedalo in a wind is not recommended. Definitely would return.

Excellent beach location with great outside space

We stayed in April so it wasn't quite warm enough to swim in the pool, though we did use the pool deck. Very South Beach! The garden is lovely, with lemon trees (in fruit when we visited) and two of the tallest palm trees we've ever seen. We went to the nearby beach several times and found a couple of great restaurants with friendly waiters and reasonably priced food. The little village of Roc de sant Gaieta is just a short walk along the cliff tops and the bakery there is recommended. We didn't spend a great deal of time inside the villa - there's a fire pit on the terrace for chilly evenings - but found it to be spacious, very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Can't wait to return.

We have recently bought this property from some American friends who have lived in Barcelona for ten years. Their are now going back to the US and were keen for the house to continue to be cherished. We use it throughout the year when we can get away, and spend a couple of weeks there during the summer holidays.

Why they chose this property

This home is not a typical rental property. We have taken great care to keep it beautiful and buy high quality sheets, towels, beach towels etc... The neighbourhood is really beautiful and the home sits on a hill over looking the ocean with city light views at night. Truly a special place.
