Beautiful quiet spot, perfect for a winter getaway. Cabin is super-cozy, awesome kitchen, plenty of room. Jerry is a responsive, helpful and friendly host!
Great snowy little retreat, perfect for my wife, dog and I. Had to leave early to avoid historic snowfall but still enjoyed our time. Jerry was very easy to work with and quick to respond to messages. Would be a great place to stay for skiing Big Powderhorn.
This is our second time staying in this cute little home! We always have everything we need and its close to the ski hill! Can't find many pet friendly rentals!
Stayed here for a 2-night ski trip with 4 people. Excellent, cozy cabin that perfectly captures the spirit of the UP. The Edmund Fitzgerald photo was a favorite of the group. The hosts were very kind and were easily reachable. The cabin is located in a scenic area full of wildlife—we encountered plenty of deer, turkeys, and even some foxes on the road! One suggestion would be to add some condiments like salt, pepper, etc.Overall we all loved the experience and would definitely return!!
Exactly as listed but just the perfect place to get away for a long weekend. Centrally located to see and explore so much of the area. One of the easiest best vrbos we've been too!
Stayed here multiple times in the past..has always been a great experience. Unfortunately did not stay at the Retreat as my party had last minute cancelations. Wasn't necessary but was given a partial refund which was unexpected! Will def book again as we love this place.
Comfortable and clean as expected. We have been there before. Thankful that they allow our pets. We are respectful pet owners, no damage and we clean up after our pets.
Cozy cabin! Loved the layout. Had everything we needed and more. The location is conveniently located to so much. We enjoyed the firepit and games provided as well! Hope to visit again soon!

Retired from the Chicago area in 2013. Bought the cabin next door in 2010 and moved up here in 2013.
Why they chose this property
Always enjoyed the small town feel and the rural setting. Own and live in the cabin next door, and when this property became available in 2017 purchased it as a guest house for family and friends. Now want to share this relaxing lifestyle and area with others.
What makes this property unique
Quiet peaceful nights, star gazing, sitting around the campfire after a day of fishing, skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, etc. Plus all the modern conveniences of home in a relaxing setting. Even rainy days can be fun for the family bonding over a board game around the dining room table.
