TI KAZ AN NOU: Cottage on the leeward coast that can accommodate, 2, 4 or 5 people.
Magnificent gite located on a hill at 50m above sea level, well ventilated. Quiet, 5 minutes' walk from Leroux beach, a real gem, especially under the setting sun where you may have the chance to observe the furtive "Green Ray". Shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
We are located just 5 km from the typical village of Deshaies with its famous botanical garden, its fishing port and the Grande Anse beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Basse-Terre, surrounded by coconut trees and where you can discover traditional and inexpensive cuisine in the “lolos”.
Our Cottage, comfortably equipped and decorated, is welcoming and warm.
The fully equipped kitchen opens onto a 57 m2 terrace which also allows you to have lunch or relax outside facing the Caribbean Sea with the island of Montserrat on the horizon. Its 2 bedrooms (with 1 beds of 160 and 1 bed of 180) both give onto the terrace; one of them overlooks the sea, the other overlooks the mountain. Its mezzanine includes 1 single bed, 1 living room with television and a desk. We can accommodate 2, 4 to 5 people. The bathroom has a spacious shower, the toilets are independent.
Household linen is provided (sheets, towels, tea towels, table napkins), WiFi, air conditioning, fans, washing machine, safe.
The planter will wait for you from the 1st evening as well as fruit and breakfast the next day. You will therefore be ready to discover this magnificent island which offers many activities; hiking, diving, Soufriere, Carbet falls, cocoa house ... and of course the numerous rum distilleries on the island ... And why not a getaway to Les Saintes and Marie Galante?
We propose to put you in contact with a car rental company. For your information, plane arrivals are in the afternoon and depending on the season, it is dark from 5.30 p.m. or 6.30 p.m. A precise airport rental itinerary will be sent to you.
You can take advantage of the direct sale of fresh fish by local fishermen in the port of Baillargent (municipality of Pointe Noire) 5 minutes from the Gîte. A display rack is also at your disposal where you will find all the "good plans" from our experience on the island.
We want to come back to the discovery of the seabed: in fins-mask-snorkel (PMT) you will already discover a wide variety of corals, multicolored fish and turtles (be careful, do not touch anything to avoid any risk of sting, bite or burn…). The Cousteau reserve located in Malendure (20 min from the house) offers a magnificent spectacle. You can also dive from the centers near the Gîte; "Piton Plongée" in Deshaies with Balou, "Baillantes Tortues" at the port of Baillargent with Cor and Chantal. We discovered diving in Guadeloupe ourselves… and are now addicted!
One last piece of advice: take the crossing route to reach Grande Terre and discover exceptional lush vegetation…

Delightful Apt

Very nice apt which was spotless and well stocked with dishes,pots etc . Good location close to Deshaises, the Botanical Garden, many of the beaches and restaurants . Most of the residents, shops and restaurants only speak French and the driving was difficult for us coming from the flat land of Florida , USA.Sylvie was very responsive to questions or inquiries.

Beautifully located - fantastic terrasse

The apartment (an apartment in a house with 4 units) is beautifully and quietly located above the bay of Ferri. The apartment is very well equipped, spacious and tastefully decorated. The highlight is undoubtedly the huge terrace, which in reality is much bigger and nicer than the photos. I especially loved the many sounds of nature in the evenings. M.Guedeu, who welcomes you in Ferri, is very charming, kind and helpful. His wife cooks delicious dishes that can be ordered by phone. Merci beaucoup M. y Mme. Guedeu. Directions to the house would have been very helpful, unfortunately we only had the address, and this was completely unknown to the people of the village. At the entrance of the village you drive up the hill opposite the restaurant "A bon accueil" (sign "Bordenave"), then the second left and then left again (a bit down). And you are there. If you know the was, it is very easy.

My overall impression of this property was 'spot on' with the listing. Even better, actually. The apartment was very clean when we arrived. The air conditioned bedroom and bed was very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal, including some spices. The apartment is very private at the end of a road. No houses past this. Only the chickens to walk around the yard. The view from the porch is breathtaking!!! We had a couple of most impressive sunsets. We spent most of our time on the porch because it is so very nice. Sylvie is an excellent host. When we arrived, there was a planter of food for us!! So very nice after a long day of travel. We enjoyed a number of beaches all within a 30-40 minute drive. We truly enjoyed the Jardin Botanique de Deshaies. We hiked Cascade aux Ecrevisses and Mamelle de Petit-Bourg. Oh, yes, and sat in the hot water at Thermes de Thomas, Bouillante. And we highly recommend a snorkel down at Reserve Cousteau, Malendure Beach. Leroux Beach, which is within a few minutes drive downhill, is also a very sweet beach. All said, we enjoyed our stay very very much. We would love to return and stay at Sylvie's place again!! Connie - from Vermont

Der Aufenthalt bei Sylvie war wunderbar - ein sehr freundlicher, herzlicher Empfang! Alles wurde uns ausführlich gezeigt und erklärt. Im Kühlschrank lagen verschiedene Leckereien für uns, die Wohnung insgesamt war sehr gut ausgestattet und gemütlich und praktisch eingerichtet. Auf der großen Terrasse, die sich die ganze Außenseite entlang zieht, konnte man sich immer aufhalten, wenn man vor Ort war: essen, lesen, dem Hahnenkonzert zuhören und das Meer in der Ferne betrachten. Zu Fuß zum Strand dauerte es nur 10 Minuten, eine Bäckerei lag auf dem Weg. Sylvie war jederzeit ansprechbar und hatte viele gute Tipps für uns. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke, Sylvie und Christophe!Notre séjour chez Sylvie a été merveilleux : nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux et sympathique ! Tout nous a été montré et expliqué en détail. Le réfrigérateur était rempli de diverses gourmandises à notre intention, l'appartement était globalement très bien équipé et aménagé de manière confortable et pratique. Sur la grande terrasse, qui s'étend sur tout un côté de la maison, on pouvait passer du temps dès qu'on était sur place : manger, lire, écouter le chant des coqs et contempler la mer au loin. La plage n'était qu'à 10 minutes à pied, et il y avait une boulangerie sur le chemin. Sylvie était toujours disponible et nous a donné de nombreux bons conseils. Wir hatten einen perfekten Urlaub: Spitzenlage in einem gepflegten Wohngebiet, fussläufig zum Strand Leroux (Bäckerei auf dem Weg), tolle Unterkunft mit Meerblick, Ausstattung mit allem was man braucht oder brauchen könnte, herzlicher Empfang einschliesslich Verpflegung für den ersten Abend (warmes Hähnchen, Rillettes, Quiche, Punsch, Wasser...) sowie den Start in den Tag (Baguette, Marmelade, Kaffee, Milch, Obst...) - MEGA! So kann ein Urlaub entspannt starten - VIELEN DANK.Ruhig gelegen am Ende der Straße, nur das behagliche Glucksen der freilaufenden Hühner im Viertel.Für uns der schönste Teil der Insel und ideal für Strandbesuche und Ausflüge. Une merveille ! Qu'il s'agisse du gîte ou des hôtes c'est vraiment parfait. Un accueil qui mérite un 6 sur 5 tellement les moments de partage ont été agréables. Une très belle semaine

Une très belle semaine dans ce logement spacieux avec une vue magnifique ! L'accueil de Sylvie a été vraiment au top et elle a été disponible et prévenante pendant tout notre séjour, son mari a meme gentiment ausculté notre petit qui avait un virus grippal. Le logement est très bien équipé, il y a tout ce qu'il faut, on se croirait à la maison! Bon point de départ pour les visites sur Basse Terre et à proximité d'une très belle plage préservée. Nous recommandons évidemment, n'hésitez pas!

Le logement est à la fois confortable et impeccablement propre. La propriétaire est très accueillante et pleine de petites attentions délicates. À notre arrivée tard dans la soirée, elle nous avait préparé un délicieux plat, accompagné d'une bonne bouteille de planteur et de jolies fleurs disposées sur la table. Parfait...simplement parfait!

Sylvie et son mari sont des hôtes exemplaires. Tout était parfait (hébergement/équipement, acceuil, emplacement, communication, etc.). Par contre, pas trop conseillé pour les gens qui auraient de difficulté à marcher ou se déplacer car l'accès est dans une pente assez raide. Pas un problème pour nous. Un logement idéal

Un lieu parfait pour visiter les environs de Deshaies, avec une vue merveilleuse depuis la terrasse pour commencer et finir la journée. Notre hôte Sylvie était aux petits soins avec nous, avec un repas et un planteur pour nous souhaiter une bonne arrivé sur l'île. Agréable escapade !

Fuyant l'hiver canadien, nous avons passé deux tranquilles et agréables mois et demi dans le confortable logement offert par les sympathiques Sylvie et Christophe. Accueillants, respectueux et attentionnés, nos hôtes ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable. La propriété, très bien située, est idéale pour quiconque aime le calme, les grands horizons et les couchers de soleil spectaculaires. La plage Leroux est à 8 minutes de marche à l'aller et 12 minutes au retour (ça grimpe !). Apportez masque, palmes et snorkel ! Les nombreux restaurants de Deshaies sont à 8 minutes de voiture. La côte ouest de Basse Terre, plus "naturelle" que Grande Terre, offre quantité de plages, restaurants, marchés et autres activités touristiques. Hiver oublié, escapade réussie ! Nous reviendrons. Note : le "rayon vert" n'est pas une légende...

Logement propre et complet

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour bien situé pour explorer les plages du côté Pacifique, en particulier la plage Leroux, à environ 5 minutes à pied. Amateurs de PMT ( palmes-masque-tuba), c'est LA plage à frequenter! De plus, 2 chaises transat sont mises à la disposition des locataires afin de faire la farniente sur une des nombreuses plages. Les colibris et nombreux autres oiseaux sauront vous divertir lors de vos pauses sur la terrasse. Apportez votre chasse moustiques car ce n'est pas un environnement sec et bétonné autour mais de la végétation luxuriante! Un bémol pour les commerces de proximité, offre très restreinte. Pensez faire vitre épicerie avant d'arriver. Très peu de restaurants également. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la douche extérieure, rafraichissante au retour de la plage ( sans crainte, il y en a une intérieure aussi 😉). À essayer!

Logement très agréable avec belle vue, bien placé. L'accueil était très chaleureux (le meilleur que nous ayons jamais eu dans nos nombreuses locations de vacances). Sylvie est attentionnée, s'est gentiment adaptée à nos horaires et nous a fourni des conseils utiles sur la vie à la Guadeloupe. Un très bon séjour, entre mer et nature!

Un très bon séjour! Nous avons apprécié la grande terrasse donnant sur le jardin fleuri avec vue mer. Quel plaisir de pouvoir observer colibris et autres oiseaux et d'écouter les bruits de la nature! Et une jolie petite plage à qques minutes à pied, c'est parfait. Joli quartier très agréable. Boulangerie et épicerie bien achalandée à proximité. Sylvie et Christophe ont été à la fois très disponibles et réactifs tout en sachant rester discrets, merci à eux pour cet accueil au top! Nous recommandons vivement aux amoureux de la nature et de la tranquillité!
