Summer Hub forZions,Bryce Cedar Breaks! Step Right on to the Ski Run.Corner Unit

Bedrooms 2
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Best Location in Giant Steps Condos!!

Book with me. I don't charge additional booking Fees like all the "BOOK NOW" condos charge. That saves you upwards of 10%

Valin's condo is not only SKI-IN/SKI-OUT. It is RIGHT ON THE SKI RUN.

Valin's condo has THE BEST Location on the entire mountain. SKI RUN END CORNER unit in Giant Steps Condo's. Walk out the back door, strap on your gear and it's 1 minute ski to the lift. NO walking required.

If you want to take a break or grab some lunch just ski right down 'Powder Run' go up the back steps, pop off your skis and you're in the condo. (If you don't believe me, look at a trail map.)

New 40' flat screen tv, kitchen appliances, dining set, leather sofa etc.

My condo is perfect for families. The kids can sled just feet from the back door, while you watch from the condo deck. This spacious corner unit has wrap around windows with spectacular views of the forest and ski-run that other condos don't have. The extra large, wrap-around deck, sheltered by the surrounding pine trees, lends it the cozy, secluded, comfortable feel of a cabin, but all the perks of a condo; jacuzzi, sauna, gameroom(pool table, ping pong, foosball)

My clean, comfortable, cozy condo has all the amenities of home. As R.I. from California say's,'This was definitely one of the nicest ones we have been in.' After a long day of skiing come home and relax in front of the fireplace, take a jacuzzi and watch one of the movies in the video library. The beds are super comfortable.

Once you've stayed with me once you get a "Repeat Guest" discount on all my condos. I also have condos that serve fabulous Northern Utah Skiing-Snowbasin (Utah Olypmics Venue) and Powder Mountain!

Brian Head is the perfect all season get away. Nestled high in the mountains, it is NEVER hot! I bought it to escape the Texas heat-but I hear it works just as well for Vegas or California heat. Brian Head is known nationwide as a mountain bike paradise.

For summer stays this condo is equidistant to Zions and Bryce National Parks -less than one hour in either direction. Not to mention just minutes to Cedar Breaks National Monument. This is the best place to stay to see all that Southern Utah has to offer!

ASK about Summer and Fall specials. Brian Head is gorgeous in the summer! It's always cool and fresh. It makes a perfect home base for exploring all the the beauty of Southern Utah: Cedar Breaks Natl Monument, Bryce and Zion's National Parks.

My condo has a huge wrap around deck that looks right out into the forest. You can jump on your bike or start off on a hike right out the door.

This is the perfect condo for adventure or serious relaxation.

About Valin Miranker

I grew up in Salt Lake. I have spent my whole life skiing and hiking in the Utah mountains. I live in Texas now but get to Utah every chance I get....whether to beat the summer heat or to go skiing. Not much skiing in Texas.

Valin Miranker purchased this condo in 1994

Why Valin Miranker chose Utah

Brian Head is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. I chose to get a condo here because of the beauty and also to escape the Texas heat. (Listen up all you Vegas dwellers) I chose my condo unit because it was on the corner of the building, you can jump onto the ski run. It has a HUGE deck that is surrounded by forest. So it is quite private for enjoying your morning coffee. You can even sleep out on the deck.

The other thing I LOVE about Brian Head is the night sky. It has the BEST star gazing of any place I've ever been.

What makes this condo unique

Great skiing. Peace. Quiet. Total Relaxation. The kids LOVE it here. End Unit looks right into the forest.

The condo is just like being in a cabin in the mountains.

  • 5 of 5

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. I've stayed in a lot of condos at Brian Head and this one had the best location of any of them. It was nestled in the woods next to the runs and the tubing hill. The deck (double the size of other decks in the complex, because it's a corner unit) was perfect for sitting outside with coffee in the mornings....or maybe a glass o wine in the afternoon. The beds were great. Loved it. I'll be back!

Great Vacation Rental

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed at this great Condo over the July 4th holiday. The first time was for a week and this time was 5 days. The condo was ideal for a family of 4 and had everything we needed. The first time we brought a lot of extra stuff with us which we did not need but the kitchen had everything needed to cook almost any meal and included a huge fridge.

Valin was great to work with-very friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again!

Owner's Response: Hi J, Thanks so much for the nice review. I love that condo and try to keep it nice for everyone and have everything you need. Did you notice I got a new "smart TV" for the master bedroom? Glad you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to having you back year after year! Best, Valin

Wonderful Vacation in Brianhead

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 rented this lovely condo over Presidents weekend. It was perfect! We all could ski or walk down to the lift and pop right home for a snack or rest. Pretty views out the window, comfortable beds and bedding. Everything you need to cook with in the kitchen. Valin was great to work with-very friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again!

Great ski getaway for SoCal family

  • 5 of 5

Spent a week at this condo and it works great for a family of 4. More than 4 would be a little cramped. The location next to the mountain was great. It is ski in / out, but a little difficult now that Brian Head has added their new tubing hill right off the balcony, but it can be done... some flat skiing getting to the first lift and a pretty steep narrow blue getting back to condo. Both my kids did it with ease, but it could prove difficult for a novice skier. You can always get in the car (5 minute drive) and park at the lodge... plenty of parking mid week - slightly more congested on weekends.

The couches, chairs, and beds are nice and comfortable. The clubhouse is a little dated and equipment could be cared for better (not the owners fault) and kids don't really care, they just want to play pool, air hockey and fooseball. The hot tub was well maintained and VERY warm. The dry sauna was nice too. Both a very easy walk from the condo (covered / enclosed walkway, but still chilly). Laundry is down in the clubhouse, so take your wet ski clothes and dry them while you hot tub. $1 per load is pretty reasonable price.

Kitchen had everything needed to cook almost any meal. Only thing missing was a pasta fork... but made do with tongs. Good sized fridge. Get your groceries in Cedar City as Parowan market is small and the one small market in the village does have a good variety - but you will pay a premium. They have a crock pot, so very easy to make slow cooker meals to enjoy with minimal effort after skiing.

Apres Ski - forget it. Again, not the owner's fault, but plan on eating in most of the time. Only really two resturants in the village. The mexican place was not good (we're pretty spoiled coming from SoCal) and the pizza joint is pretty OK. Unless you want to spend big $$ at the steakhouse in the grand lodge hotel, these are really the only places to eat out.

The only minor issues we had with the condo.... 1) no hair dryer when we got there... had to go buy one. Not a big deal to me, but a priority for the wife. 2) The hook-ups for the DVD and VCR are confusing - even with a teenage boy acting as tech support. The VCR never seemed to work, but we got the DVD to go, so we just watched that. Both minor issues. WiFi was sketchy at best :(

Overall, a great family get-a-way. We skied every day for 5 days and took an afternoon snowmobile trip. Very fun, relaxing family vacation and a great time on the slopes.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the detailed response. I know folks like to hear what other guests have to say. I love this condo and take my guests comfort very seriously. I'm happy you had a good time. In response to some of your comments: 1. I have been very involved with the complex and resort to ensure that since the tubing hill was installed we were still able to easily, with no walking, ski TO the condo and TO the lifts. I agree that there is room for improvement and won't let up on this. 2. Hair dryers: I'm with your wife on this one. I like having a hair dryer. My best friends daughter had her honeymoon there recently(on the house…she's like a daughter to me) and accidently and unbeknownst to me took my blow dryer. I have ordered two new ones- one for each bathroom! 3. Wifi: I ordered NEW, PRIVATE DSL for my condo. No more shared with the whole building. It was supposed to be in Thanksgiving but the provider was…well… had "issues". (Don't get me started). But, that's all resolved and it's up and running. No more sharing with the complex. 4. TV: the DVD's work fine. Now that I have proper wi fi I think I'm going to get "smart" tv's so streaming can happen. That seems to be the way these days. Please come back. All my "repeat" guests get a discount forever!!!. Don't overlook summer. Its fantastic there in the summer and very inexpensive. The wrap around deck is covered in hummingbirds and looks right into the forest. Heaven. Thanks again….and oh, I'll get a pasta server too!! Valin
