We enjoyed our stay. Convenient location.

  • 4 of 5

There are only two descriptors offered for our review, "loved our stay," and "not really." There needs to be one in between. We liked our stay very much but I wouldn't say we "loved" it. The house was clean and accommodated our family nicely. The owner Kim was real nice and very helpful. Location is great, near North entrance to Yellowstone, next door to a nice coffee shop and a few blocks from Gardiner Market where you can get anything food related. We grilled steaks. The grill could use an upgrade. This might seem a silly detail but if you're going to cook for yourselves, bring a few basic items like a sharp knife, olive oil, favorite herbs, etc. There are basics in the kitchen but if you plan on doing more cooking, bring some of your favorites. Overall a solid place to stay but not if you're looking for a "luxurious" experience. We'd stay there again definitely. The view of the Yellowstone River is real cool but you have to climb a few flights of deck to get there.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

This place is very well located in Gardiner on the north side of town, tucked between a bookstore/coffee shop and the Flying Pig river rafting operation. It's a basement apartment which helped to keep it cool in the hot July weather. It's very well equipped, though With our single nights stay we didn't take advantage of that. Kim came around to greet us and was very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again if traveling through Gardiner.

Cute clean and comfortable loved the Flying Pig next door!!!!

  • 4 of 5

House is clean and comfortable and right in the center of all the action really enjoyed everything about it! Only problem laundry was a little difficult but we were sharing with other units which is understandable. On the plus side grocery store within walking distance as well as restaurants and other activities

Perfect for a one night stay during our visit to Yellowstone NP. Wish we'd had longer!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was nice and clean. The bed in the smaller room was very comfortable! (My son's family of four slept in the other room.) There was plenty of bedding and plenty of towels. The rooms are just as the pictures show them.

The kitchen had a small assortment of spices and some olive oil which was welcome. We cooked some eggs for breakfast - but the coffee shop next door looked like a good place to eat too. Since we stayed only one night, it wasn't an issue, but if we wanted to cook more there was no place for 6 people to eat together. That said, there are plenty of good restaurants in town! There is also a gas station almost next door with a nice convenience store - we stocked up on picnic supplies.

We went up to the top deck just to see what it was like. Amazing view! However, the common areas are not maintained as well as the apartment.

Overall, it was perfect for our needs and very affordable compared to the hotel prices in and around Yellowstone.

The only issue we had was finding the room. Our instructions said to go over the deck on the right side of the building - it was the LEFT side of the building. So when we found the door ajar and a light on, we weren't sure if we were walking in on someone. Directions to the building were very detailed and easily followed, even in the dark.

Basement Unit

  • 3 of 5

Great location. Kim is very pleasant and even left a bottle of wine for us. Queen mattresses were comfy, but bunk bed is very noisy. The squeaking of the bunk bed will wake everyone in your party throughout the night. Kitchen could use a few more utensils, as well as sharper knives (you might want to bring your own).

Maybe we didn't read the description well enough, but there are actually two units here - one upper, one lower. We were assigned the lower basement unit. We thought we were renting the unit pictured upstairs.
