OCEANFRONT - PALM SUITE AT DRIFT VILLA

For the perfect Grand Turk adventure Drift Villa is located less than 100 feet from beautiful Pillory beach. The property was completed in 2019 with high-end finishes, original artwork and modern amenities and features a swimming pool out back surrounded by a large patio with modern lounge chairs plus an outdoor dining area with a gazebo and gas grill..

The Palm is a spacious open-concept, one-bedroom suite with direct, walkout access to the patio and pool.  The living quarters are appointed with original artwork by Chicago artist Brad Gibbs, as well as local artists from the islands. The suite includes virtually everything to make your stay comfortable, with a kitchen featuring new stainless steel appliances.
The suite’s bedroom includes a queen-size St. Lucia bed, ceiling fans and beautiful porcelain tile floors. Palm also includes a built in washer & dryer. The living area and the bedroom can either be opened up to the ocean breezes or air conditioned.

The reef just offshore is a protected underwater National Marine Park with abundant sea life and an incredible 7000 foot drop off out at the “wall” which is a few hundred yards offshore. The beach is ideal for swimming and snorkeling and of course the island has world class scuba diving out on the reef.

Your hosts, Marc and Patsy, have been Grand Turk regulars for over twenty years and recently made the move permanently immediately expanding their family by adopting some very sweet local “potcake” pups. Marc and Patsy live on the property and are generally available to help with suggestions and recommendations. They look forward to welcoming you and making your stay memorable.

Relaxing on Grand Turk

We had a great stay with Patsy and Mark and their wonderfully behaved dogs. The property is beautiful and very clean just steps from the beach. The bed was very comfortable. it is also an easy walk to multiple restaurants and bars. We rented a golf cart for a few days which was plenty to get around the island to see the sights. We highly recommend this property.

Great place,location and hosts

Really enjoyed our stay. Location was great. Close to fresh fish market, grocery store and restaurants. Enjoyed using bikes provided to get around. Hosts were wonderful! They were very helpful whenever we had questions about area. They helped arrange a whale watching trip, airport pickup and actually drove us to airport for our trip home. Kitchen was stocked well. Even cold beer. Loved all their dogs especially Bruiser. Will stay there again

Fantastic Place to Stay!

Drift Villa was nothing short of perfect for our trip. The property is only a couple of years old and is in a great location across from the beach and in the middle of the island. The Villa was in perfect condition with all the amenities you need. There is a large market around the corner which made it very convenient to buy food and drinks. They also provide bikes which was perfect because you can ride and explore the entire island. Marc and Patsy were very accommodating and helpful throughout our entire stay and we highly recommend them and their property...we will certainly be back. Thanks Marc and Patsy.

Winter break in grand turk

We absolutely loved drift villa and the island of grand turk. Patsy and Marc were great hosts , always making sure everything was going well. Enjoyed our chats. The place is lovely, morning views of the ocean with our coffee, the breeze out back after a long walk or day at the beach. The location is great, close to grocery stores and places to eat. We walked everywhere usually with a few dogs leading the way and stopping to pet the donkeys that roam around. The island and patsy and Marc offer a relaxing getaway without the crowds and hustle and bustle of a resort. Most days we had the beach to ourselves. It was just what we needed to unwind and take in the beautiful sunshine.

Perfect Location

I spent 10 nights at this perfect location on Grand Turk. Upon arrival you enter the gated property, with lush gardens and a wonderful porch that overlooks the ocean. Palm suite is a clean and comfortable 1 bedroom unit at Drift Villa. It has everything you need to have a fantastic experience. It has a well stocked kitchen, nice livingroom and private bedroom suite. Behind the suite is a beautiful pool and gazebo area that is perfect for lounging, barbecuing and reading a good book. The property owners, Patsy and Marc, are very attentive and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is fabulous. I have been visiting Grand Turk for years and have stayed at many villas on this island. I have to say Drift Villa is one of my favoite spots to stay! I will definitely be back.

Just What We Were Looking For

This was the perfect spot on Grand Turk for us. The villa was spotless and beautifully decorated. We used the air conditioner only at night because the air flow through the sliding glass doors in the bedroom to the screened windows in the living room was heavenly. The plunge pool in the backyard was so convenient and refreshing. Patsy and Marc are such friendly hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Patsy booked tours for us and reservations at restaurants! We had our own personal travel guide! She even reserved us a golf cart when I injured my toe (off site mind you) and had it delivered! We miss staying at Drift and hope to someday return.

Our week at DRIFT felt like two!

We’re parents of two lovely girls, 7 and 5, but when they say vacations are like “trips” we totally get it. I surprised my husband with a birthday week in T&C alone. We are divers and this was our first time here. The second I heard Grand Turk has excellent and accessible diving, I went looking for a villa where we could spend most of our week and dive plus relax in secluded beaches and extra privacy that a villa offers. I recommend Drift without reservation. Besides the beautiful location, new and well appointed everything, you couldn’t get more kind and attentive caretakers in Marc and Patsy. They will help you plan and are always around to make sure everything is OK. While we have stayed in other villas in the Caribbean, nobody ever supplied starter coffee, sugar and cream, water, fresh fruit (the pineapple was so good), English muffins and butter, and a few Turks Head beers. She even had a “just in case” pasta and sauce which we did use one night and it really hit the spot. What made me choose Drift besides the privacy was the pool, something most other villas don’t have. While we only used it for 15-30 minutes a day it was a nice dip right outside our room. I loved having the option along with privacy and quiet. I can attest that if you’re wanting to dive, Oasis and Blue Water were great. We heard all the operations are wonderful. Since we were without kids we honestly didn’t feel like cooking at all. We enjoyed all our meals out (sandbar, Turks head inne, and bohio and yes it’s pricey, but it’s the Caribbean and it compares well to other islands. You may also consider that if you want to cook more on your own, the fish market is across the street and there’s a grill outside as well as the stove inside. It would save money on food and drinks to do so. Though we traveled as a couple I wanted to be sure you know that I wouldn’t hesitate to travel here solo, or with my best girlfriend, or bring our girls. The one thing about families will be getting around. If you want to go to a restaurant as a family you would need a taxi or your family may be able to do a golf cart rental. Again, Marc and Patsy would be awesome helping you plan your needs.

Full disclosure: I had the pleasure of calling on co-host Patsy, um, "some" years ago. But just as that business relationship was one of trust and never unwarranted favors, so, too, was this stay. We were paying guests just like anyone else. The unit was exactly as advertised as was the island: quiet, calm, relaxing. Nightlife consists of watching some of the 150 loose, tame, friendly donkeys walk down the street. Perfect for a post-pandemic stay. Patsy and Marc are fantastic hosts and we got to know some of their friends and really felt like family.

Excellent Stay at Drift Villas!

Marc and Patsy were great hosts and have a beautiful property! It is extremely clean and they have everything you could want. Place has a full kitchen and came with filtered water, beach towels, a few snacks and some basic groceries. Marc and Patsy arranged a taxi for us upon arrival and also secured a rental car for us. Patsy even gave us a ride to the airport when we checked out. It was great meeting Marc, Patsy and their 6 dogs (who were very friendly and well-behaved). We looked forward to their visits every day; especially Bruiser. Thanks for everything, we hope to make it back someday!

A wonderful place to stay!

Drift Villa is the perfect place to stay on Grand Turk! The hosts, Patsy and Marc made our trip easy and wonderful, helping up with tour suggestions, restaurants, and letting us use their bikes to get around the island. You couldn't ask for better hosts! The 6 potcake dogs at the house were one of the highlights of our stay, knowing we could count on Bruiser, Chicken, or Mama to welcome us back and lean in for some love. The apartment is the perfect size for 2 people, and it was well appointed for all of our cooking and laundry needs. The views from the front of the apartment overlooking the beach and ocean were great for watching the sunset each night and the occasional humpback swimming by. Drift villas is close to several markets / grocery stores and and about a 20 minute walk / 5 minute bike to the dive shops a little further south. My partner and I left hoping to be back soon!

Beautiful, relaxing get-away with just the best hosts

The villa and property were very clean. The landscaping and views were beautiful and it is great to have a private pool right there. The villa decor is both beachy and really helps you feel like you are on vacation and modern with everything you need. It is literally steps to a great beach that make for both a long morning walk and afternoon of sunbathing and swimming. There was a lot of space of both the nearby beach and Governor’s beach, and often we seemed to have the place to ourselves. There are several restaurants and bars nearby, as well as a grocery store. Marc and Patsy were extremely helpful, both in giving us all the trips on getting to the island, and taking care of things once we arrived. They helped us get a golf cart/car, gave recommendation on where to go, and ensured we got to and from the airport. If you are wondering if the additional hop to Grand Turk is worth it, it definitely was. Hope to get back one day.

Fantastic Villa on Grand Turk

From the moment I walked through the gate at Drift Villas, I was impressed by the accommodations and the owners!! I stayed at Palm Suite, a beautiful one-bedroom apartment that was very clean and well decorated. It had all the amenities I could ever ask for and I immediately felt safe and at "home." The view of the beautiful Caribbean Sea from the living room and front porch were captivating! The best part of my stay was the incredible service provided by the owners, Marc and Patsy! From the moment I arrived, they were on hand to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Amazing vacation spot

We had a wonderful time at Drift! Marc and Patsy are wonderful hosts. They were so helpful during our entire stay and we really enjoyed getting to know them and the dogs. The location of Drift is perfect - very easy to get to everything. We got lobster across the street at the fish market and cooked them on the grill. The property is so nice! Landscaping is beautiful, the inside is just as lovely as the photos represent, and the bed is very comfortable. Patsy helped us arrange a golf cart for our stay which was very helpful. We will be back soon!

Best week ever? Think so.

We spent 8 days at Drift Villa in early July and it was exactly what we needed. Quiet but with more than enough to do. Between summer and no cruise ships its extra calm on the island but still tons to do, places to eat and drink, diving, friendly people. The suite is well stocked and spotless. Bed is comfy. Pool is perfect. Not too big. Not too small. Great breeze blows through if you open everything up but A/C works great, too. Marc and Patsy are great hosts. They know the island, where to go and what to do, will give you tips and help arrange things. They helped set up our golf cart rental (nice to have but not necessary) and transfer to/from the airport. All around good people that we'd be glad to talk with anytime. We did some snorkeling, scuba and a trip out to Gibbs Cay to see sting rays. Thanks Dale and her Oasis Divers team for all that. Eat at the Ridge if you have the chance. We spent a few afternoons at Sandbar. Walked up the beach to the Bohio and had drinks one evening. Take a drive (or bike) up to the lighthouse. Oh, and check out the history museum. Some very cool exhibits about nature, diving, the role of salt, NASA and more.

Awesome stay

Awesome place to stay! Since we were very unfamiliar with the island, communication prior to arrival was the key. We couldn’t have asked for any better communication. Every question was answered quickly. A driver was set up to meet us at the airport. Since we got in late in the day, Patsy provided us with an option for a home cooked meal upon arrival. It was great! We were also provided options for travel that week. We chose a golf cart which was very sufficient. Patsy also arranged to have it delivered. We had great conversation with the owners everyday. Truly a vacation to remember! Highly suggest

A home away from home

From the minute we inquired about staying at Drift our experience was exceptional. Patsy and Marc were so very helpful and really made our trip possible in an uncertain time. Covid 19- With new testing requirements starting in the middle of our stay we were very uncertain if we were going to be able to get tested to return to the states. Patsy spent so much time getting together all the info we needed and we had a nurse come to the property to administer the test. It was so easy and worry free. The island’s ability to test US tourists is only going to get better so don’t let this be the reason you look elsewhere. The Space- the apartment was spotless and very well equipped. The bed had to be one of the most comfortable we have had in all of our travels as well. The pool area got lots of sun during the day and the outdoor cooking area was perfect for grilling up lobster (buy right off the boats across the street) and other dinners. The front side of the building has beautiful ocean views and very comfortable outdoor furniture to relax and watch the sun go down. The AC was nice to have at night. Location- we loved the location of Drift. We were a 30 second walk away from the beach a 1 minute walk to the market. We rented a golf cart for the week and found everything was close and convenient. Patsy set up our golf cart rental and it was waiting for us upon arrival in a taxi that Patsy also arranged. The Drift Charm- Patsy, Marc and their potcake’s (Bruiser, Momma, Chicken and Old Guy) make you feel like you are home. They live on the 2nd floor of the villa and are always available to help with anything you need. We love dogs so having a few tails wagging around the property was an awesome added bonus. They are all very friendly and are more than happy to stop by to say hi during your morning coffee or afternoon drink on the porch. We were also visiting during a 8pm curfew due to covid on the island. This meant we had to be back at the villa pretty early each night. This turned out to be a great thing as we got to spend our nights sharing stories and cocktails with Patsy and Marc. Overall- if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, welcoming place to stay on Grand Turk look no further. You have privacy when you want it and friendly faces (and tails) when you don’t. We will be back again and look forward to seeing our new friends.

This is a must stay!!!

Right from the moment we made the reservation Patsy was emailing us about info on the island,places to eat, things to do. The pics are accurate and even though it’s across the street from the beach there is an empty lot there so you can sit on your porch and watch the sun set or go across the street and sit on the beach. But the place itself is beautiful, high end finishes and design. It has more then you’ll need. We did not get a car Patsy set us up with a driver and he was there waiting. We went for a horse back ride on the beach with sunset rides,patsy set it all up it was the best ride we have ever been on. They have two bikes you can use and we rode all over the island on them plus to dinner every night which was a lot of fun. Both Marc and Patsy were very helpful with anything we needed or any questions we had. Everyone on the island is so friendly with always a wave or a good morning. They have four dogs who were the friendliest most well behaved dogs we have ever seen every morning they would come down and greet us. We will be back and we will stay here again.

We are never leaving...

We can't begin to express how much we enjoyed our stay and our time with Patsy and Marc! Aside from the house being gorgeous, well maintained/stocked, super clean and located perfectly - we fell in love with our hosts. We had no idea child care was part of the package but this dynamic duo enchanted our son who shadowed them as much as we allowed. We are seasoned travelers and value interaction with our hosts (hotels, homes, B&B's...wherever we stay) because it sets the tone of the stay. The attentiveness of our hosts starting prior to the booking made this trip ever so much relaxing. I also don't want to forget to mention the charming dogs of the property. I am not a dog person but these darlings are so gentle, sweet and well behaved that I miss them already.

Perfect in every way!!

The owner's live on site and have created the perfect VRBO. The apartment is brand new and is very comfortable. They provided everything we needed down to the beach towels. The place is immaculate, the bed is super comfy, the kitchen even included some extras that we did not expect, like spices, coffee, and ice pops, oh and 2 bottles of beer! The front and back porches were great, and the pool was used everyday! Ate several meals outside. The owner includes bikes which we used every day, but you can certainly walk to restaurants and bars. This is a great, centrally located part of the island. And literally a two minute walk to the beach. But what made this a really fabulous rental was the owner, Marc. (unfortunately not able to meet his wife) He is friendly, laid back, great sense of humor and super helpful. All in all, a perfect place to stay!!

Marc Harris and Patsy Comella moved to Grand Turk from Chicago. Marc is a professional photographer who was well known in Chicago adapting a photo journalism approach to commercial photography. Patsy spent her career in advertising directing marketing investments for media spending. They are part owners of a farm in Ohio.

They share a love of the ocean and are avid scuba divers. They moved to Grand Turk because of that love of the ocean, the wonderful people and old time Caribbean vibe found on Grand Turk.

Marc is one of the few people seen on roller blades on Grand Turk. He has honed his construction skills working on projects for Drift Villas. Patsy loves to cook and enjoys the access to fresh fish from the local fish market. She is a volunteer for the Turks and Caicos SPCA. They have adopted 3 "Potcake" pups into their family,

Why they chose this property

We have been traveling to Grand Turk for nearly twenty years and always dreamt of someday living here. When the time was right, we started looking at property on Grand Turk and fell in love with this location because of the fabulous ocean views and proximity, the easy access to restaurants and grocery stores and the neighborhood. We were lucky enough to pick a building site that allowed us to build the home of our dreams with unobstructed views of the ocean and the island.
