If you are looking for a small, intimate island with awesome diving and a beautiful relaxed atmosphere, come to Grand Turk.
The pure white beach is just a few barefoot steps away and a mindblowing sunset visits every day.
Some people come to Grand Turk for the world-class SCUBA diving (I did), others for the superb fishing, others just to relax and enjoy the island life, untroubled in the sun.
Blue Breeze was built as both a vacation rental and a permanent residence, so it has a full kitchen and all the conveniences you would expect in a home. It was built new from the ground up in 2014, but the architecture owes much to the traditional architecture of the Islands.
The wraparound porch is fully screened from the front to the back, so dinner or an evening cocktail outdoors can be fully enjoyed.
A cooling breeze keeps the house very comfortable most of the time, but there are ceiling fans and air conditioning throughout, so there is always refuge from the afternoon heat.
The master bedroom has a king bed, and the living room has a futon couch, which folds out to a queen size bed. The house sleeps four people comfortably.
Coffee is available 3 ways - drip, french press, and espresso.
Two bikes are available to explore this wonderful small island.
I have been visiting Grand Turk for the spectacular diving since 2007, and every time back I have been more captivated by the special magic of this tiny relaxed island.
Finally, I decided to build my home away from the crowds and hustle here.
The Owner purchased this house in 2013
All of the reviews are spot on! The amazing property was exactly what my husband I needed. Beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing! We loved the well equipped kitchen. The bedroom and bath were luxurious. The screened in porch was where I want to live forever. We never got hot- the weather was perfect- but the ceiling fans and wrap around porch were all we needed to be comfortable. The barn doors were charming and genius for the perfect breeze. Everyone was super friendly. We enjoyed the entire island on bikes (in the garage of the Blue Breeze) or a rented golf cart. We recommend Governor's beach-pictures don't do it justice! We had it all to ourselves. Don't get me wrong, our beach was perfect too. We found our own conch shells and coral. I would recommend Oasis dive shop and a swim with the sting rays. Once of a lifetime awesome experience! Just can't say enough about the entire experience! We are already planning our next trip and several of our friends are also wanting to go too! Thanks Blue Breeze and Grand Turk!
This property has it all. It is the perfect blend of local architecture and modern conveniences. The house has everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is as comfortable as your bed at home and the bathroom is luxurious. The screened in wrap around deck is total genius. We spent most of our time there, when we were not at the beach. The large doors on the front and back of the house allow a beautiful "blue" breeze to flow through the house. So much so that we didn't use the AC during the day even in August. The owner Eric was responsive and accommodating and the on site managers Tonya and Tereze were wonderful. Bonus: Buy fresh fish at the fish stand a block down on the beach and cook it on the grill. Doesn't get any fresher or tastier than that.
Eric was a fantastic owner with an amazing home. From wonderful beds (including the queen futon) to a wonderful bathroom with fantastic towels, I could not recommend a nicer place to stay on Grand Turk. While a small and quaint island mostly for quiet days and scuba diving, accommodations are usually more basic. However, Blue Breeze was beyond expectations. Tonya was the caretaker and lived two doors down. She gladly answered any question or tip you might need about the home or island by text. She was extremely helpful getting us to and from the airport and showing us around the property as well. The open floor plan and vaulted ceilings were perfect with the heat and the A/C (if you need it) and 5 fans kept things plenty cool. The kitchen was fully outfitted with anything you might need including basic cooking spices and a propane grill if you manage to acquire some fresh fish! The wraparound porch with a hammock and lots of seating was great for some post-dinner beers too. I really couldn't say anything better about the property and Eric/Tonya. Go to Blue Breeze!
This house is a perfect fit for its ideal location. Open floor plan, attractive, cool stone tiles, delightful breezes, and a porch so pleasant we could have spent the entire week right there. As other reviews have said, amenities are all great, including the comfortable futon which was a very adequate second bed. At the halfway point of the length of the island, it's the perfect base for explorations on the 4 bikes (Tonya is available to fix flats!) stored in the garage. We visited different beaches and birding spots every day. A flock of flamingos lit by the full moon, walking for miles on the white sand of the east-side beach without seeing another soul, and snorkeling with colorful fish and sea fans only a moderate-length swim off the nearby beach were a few highlights of our week on this laid-back, welcoming, not-touristy-feeling island.
We just returned from Blue Breeze and already cant wait to return! The house was like living in a spa for the week...beautiful views, gorgeous kitchen, and spa-like bedroom and bath complete with plush white bedding and towels. What made this all the more inviting was having Tonya, the property manager, waiting for us upon arrival. She made us feel warmly welcomed and right at home. She even connected us with everything we needed for the week (golf cart, excursions, etc).
We vacationed February 14-20 at this beautiful home. From the moment we landed on Grand Turk, it was an amazing experience and truly relaxing vacation. The owner had a taxi waiting for us at the airport who drove us to the home (about a five minute drive). As we pulled up to the home, Tanya was waiting to welcome us. She is an on-island property manager that is VERY helpful. She gave us a tour of the home, provided some tips for getting around, and gave us her contact info. The most valuable tip she gave us was pointing out the grocery store to us, which is literally viewable from the back of the house. Less than a three minute walk, and you're at the grocery store (E & R Grocery). The ship arrived on Saturday with fresh produce for the week. We were able to get the vast majority of our groceries throughout the week at E&R Grocery. Any other items we picked up at Kishco or Cee's (both within a walking distance). That was a huge relief for us! Some island reviews online made it seem it was hard to find groceries. Not at all! The flea market (a couple blocks south on West Road) and some other tourist areas open when ships come to the island.
The beach access is VERY close. You walk out the front of the house and there is an alley that takes you down to the beautiful, quiet beach. There were many days that we went hours without seeing anyone else on the beach. There are dogs that roam around the town and beach, but they are all very friendly. As dog lovers, this made us feel at home. The area is very safe and the locals are friendly and helpful.
Now the home... We can't wait to go back to this house. The name is absolutely perfect (Blue Breeze). There are two large doors; one in the front and one in the back. When you open the two doors, the breeze that moves through the house is perfect! As I mentioned, we wanted to cook all of our own meals. This home has ALL the cookware you could need. We used the outdoor propane grill, as well as the indoor propane stove. Every night, we sat on the screened in porch, listening to music and enjoying the sound of the ocean and breeze. The bikes were a huge plus for us on this trip. We were able to go around the island, seeing different areas and visiting different stores.
The five star review just doesn't seem to do this house justice, as well as the owner and property manager. It was the most relaxing and easy vacation we have been on. We cannot wait to visit Blue Breeze and Grand Turk again
Blue Breeze is located steps away from the pristine white sands of West Road Beach.
Enjoy the natural beauty of the sunset from the screened wraparound deck after a day diving the deep blue waters along the 7000 foot wall or snorkeling in the crystalline shallows just off the beach.
A grocery store is right around the corner, and local fishermen sell fresh fish off the boat at the fish market a short walk up the beach, so if you are inclined to make use of the kitchen, it's very convenient to stock up.
