If you are looking for a small, intimate island with awesome diving and a beautiful relaxed atmosphere, come to Grand Turk.
The pure white beach is just a few barefoot steps away and a mindblowing sunset visits every day.
Some people come to Grand Turk for the world-class SCUBA diving (I did), others for the superb fishing, others just to relax and enjoy the island life, untroubled in the sun.
Blue Breeze was built as both a vacation rental and a permanent residence, so it has a full kitchen and all the conveniences you would expect in a home. It was built new from the ground up in 2014, but the architecture owes much to the traditional architecture of the Islands.
The wraparound porch is fully screened from the front to the back, so dinner or an evening cocktail outdoors can be fully enjoyed.
A cooling breeze keeps the house very comfortable most of the time, but there are ceiling fans and air conditioning throughout, so there is always refuge from the afternoon heat.
The master bedroom has a king bed, and the living room has a futon couch, which folds out to a queen size bed. The house sleeps four people comfortably.
Coffee is available 3 ways - drip, french press, and espresso.
Two bikes are available to explore this wonderful small island.
I have been visiting Grand Turk for the spectacular diving since 2007, and every time back I have been more captivated by the special magic of this tiny relaxed island.
Finally, I decided to build my home away from the crowds and hustle here.
The Owner purchased this house in 2013
We just stayed at Blue Breeze from April 8th to the 17th and had an excellent time, Eric was great to deal with and his property was ideal. All your amenities are there and the location on Grand Turk is great! What is also great about this property it is higher and not on ground level.
On ground level is only a small garage, you walk up a small set of stairs and you are on a wrap around deck with a great view of the Caribbean ocean. Tonya is just down the road if you need any help. Our favorite restarants are The Sandbar for lunch, and Jack's Shack.
The locals on the island are very friendly, a wave and a smile go a long way :) We shopped at E&R Grocery, food and beer are expensive but everything is imported.
We had an amazing time and can't wait to come back to stay at Blue Breeze.
The house is perfectly located close walk to the beach if you don't feel like travelling.
The house was clean comfortable for the 2 of us. plenty of space. Kitchen is well equipped and coffee friendly. Eric went at great length to ensure the house if comfortable. The wrap around porch with mosquito net is a great addition.
If like your privacy, it's the perfect rental versus hotels.
Thanks to Eric and Tania for making us feel welcome.
We recently stayed at Blue Breeze during our stay on GT. Eric was great to work with. A taxi was waiting for us at the airport. The house was wonderful & had everything we needed. The screened in porch that wrapped around 3 sides of the home was great for relaxing or having a meal with an ocean view. The beach is just across the street beyond a small courtyard. It takes less than a minute to walk to. There is a grill on the porch if you want to cook up some locally caught fish. The house has fencing all around for a degree of privacy. Being on the 2nd floor (the 1st floor is storage) allows you to not have your view blocked. The inside of the home was very clean, roomy, & comfortable. The kitchen had all the cookware & utensils we needed during our stay. There is a grocery just around the corner where you can get basic supplies. The living room was spacious. The bed was comfortable & the shower had lots of hot water. One of the best parts of the home was opening the front & back doors & letting the ocean breeze blow through the house. Having the screened porch seemed to keep bugs out of the home while the doors were open. We had very little issue with bugs anywhere on the island during our stay. Another nice touch was the high vaulted ceilings that gave an open feel to the house. There were 2 bicycles available to get around the island, although we ended up not using them. We mostly walked and one day rented a golf cart. The caretaker, Tonya, was fantastic. She was available for anything we needed & provided us with great recommendations on places to eat & facilitated our golf cart rental as well as some other insights to what was happening on the island. Some recommendations for eating: Saturday night cook out at the Bohio Dive Resort & Sunday night cook out at the Atrium restaurant. Both featured live music. The Sandbar is a great beach bar with a fantastic view. They serve strong rum punches and great food. There are plenty of beaches to enjoy. The beach just across the street is very nice & you will most likely have it to yourself. Also south of the main town area was Governors beach which was fantastic. We only saw a handful of people while there. There is a large decaying boat beached at one end, which makes for a good photo op. North of Blue Breeze a short way is another nice beach near Bohio. There are lots of other secluded beaches to explore that we did not have time to visit. The Blue Breeze is a great place to stay & I highly recommend it.
This is a really nice property. Huge, screened wraparound deck looking at the ocean and loads of space inside. Grand Turk is easy to get around - we used bikes and explored all coasts, from the Lighthouse in the north to surprisingly calm and deserted east coast beaches. Governors beach on the west coast past the airport is probably the best and not busy, even on a cruise ship day. Friendly people and enough of interest for our stay.
There is a property being built next door, so there is some construction noise at times.
Nice location on Grand Turk.Spectacular view of the ocean. Everything you need to cook meals and relax. House clean and nicely decorated . Bikes great condition-used them everyday to get around the Island. Eric gives quick response to questions .Very easy to work with. Tanya available to help with anything you need while there. Would recommend this property.
The place was great!! You walk in and it feels like home. Bed was very comfy, kitchen was awesome. Tonya was invaluable. She knows so much about the island. We plastered her with questions everyday about the history of the island, power sources, building activity, where to find unknown beaches, and other various millions of questions...where to eat, where to get fresh fish, (the grouper we cooked up at this place was one of the yummiest meals of my life!) where to bike to, where to get my hair done in some island braids for the week... She was amazing! My husband and I toured the island on the bikes one day. Up to the lighthouse and back, where we saw a couple of ospreys flying down from their next and diving. It was soooo fun to do something active and different than our many other days diving. Also, we enjoyed walking up and down that strip of the island from Blue Breeze down to the dive shop. You get a kick (not literally) out of seeing the donkeys around the island and even some stray horses roaming around. The museum was a super interesting tour. The netting around the lanai does keep a lot of mosquitos out, but some still make it up through the cracks in the wooden floor. However, so many as to take away from this great getaway spot! Very relaxing island and people...beautiful beaches and fish and snorkeling...we walked up and down many beaches and had a lot of them to ourselves. It's awesome to be able to walk out your front door and walk across a narrow street and suddenly you're on a beach!! There's also a little grocery store around the corner. Thanks, Eric, for the grand accommodations on a very Grand Turk. Highly recommend this property!!
Blue Breeze is located steps away from the pristine white sands of West Road Beach.
Enjoy the natural beauty of the sunset from the screened wraparound deck after a day diving the deep blue waters along the 7000 foot wall or snorkeling in the crystalline shallows just off the beach.
A grocery store is right around the corner, and local fishermen sell fresh fish off the boat at the fish market a short walk up the beach, so if you are inclined to make use of the kitchen, it's very convenient to stock up.
