Lavagnac House

House was clean and exactly as pictured and the host was very helpful as it is a bit hard to find. Would absolutely stay there again, the area is great for small day trips to various parts of Bordeaux and there is a great bakery/pastry place and butcher that are walking distance from the house. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it as a stay.

Beautiful property

The property was beautiful and very peaceful. It is about 45 mins outside of Bordeaux. It is very close to Saint Emilion but not walking distance. You pretty much have to drive everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Wunderschönes, grosses Haus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus liegt im kleinen und idyllischen Dorf Lavagnac und ist nicht leicht zu finden (die Lagebeschreibung/Adresse auf fewo-direkt stimmt nicht ganz). Das Gebäude ist alt aber geschmackvoll renoviert und gut unterhalten. Trotzdem war bei unserer Anreise ein Abfluss verstopft, was aber unkompliziert (noch am Sonntag) behoben wurde. Erwähnenswert ist auch die grosse Terrasse und der riesige Garten mit Obstbäumen, Schaukel und Trampolin. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und in Lavagnac selber gibt es ausser einem Garten nicht viel zu sehen. Saint-Emilion ist aber mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten und Bordeaux in ca. 40 Minuten erreichbar, ausserdem hat es verschiedene Burgen, Ruinen und andere Sehenswürdigkeiten in der näheren Umgebung. Nicht geeignet ist der Ort für alle, die am liebsten zu Fuss unterwegs sind. Im Gegensatz z.B. zur Bretagne, wo es enorm viele Wanderwege gibt, muss man in der Aquitaine mehrheitlich Strassen nachlaufen… selbst der wunderschönen Dortigen entlang gibt es keinen Wanderweg. Fahrradwege sind ebenfalls kaum vorhanden und die Autofahrer fahren in der Aquitaine oft rücksichtslos bis gefährlich.

Très agréable semaine à Lavagnac en famille, la maison est très confortable et super jolie, géniale avec des enfants. La région nous a également beaucoup plu. L’accueil était parfait!
