Stunning and perfect in every way!
Drop dead gorgeous with everything and more that we were hoping for!
Our family of 6 stayed at this fantastic house during the winter school holidays. It was perfect. The view of the lakes and surrounding farm, down the valley, was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed lovely walks in the surrounding area. The location is very handy for Rotorua (without the smell). It was very warm (underfloor heating and a fire) and welcoming. Super clean. It felt like a home but was very stylish (none of the shabby furniture and odds and ends often found in holiday homes). There were photos of the family on the walls and some interesting history about the land. The owner Donna was lovely and managed the booking very efficiently. She called during our stay to see how things were. It had all the facilities we could hope for. Enormous American-style washing machine and dryer which was great. Lovely big rooms. Nice linen. Sheep outside for the children to feed. Great flat lawn for playing. Very safe. Our son is 2 years old and we felt he was perfectly safe. A cot and other children's things were provided (their grandchildren often stay). I thoroughly recommend staying here. We had a great family holiday and will be back!
Amazing view !
We are a family of 5 and earlier this month, we stayed 4 nights at Woodstock Farm. And we loved it there!!!!
The house is very comfortable, clean an filled up with useful things (good games for children, big washing machine and dryer, boots and raincoat that we can borrow...). It was much more than what we expected.Donna was very helpful with her ideas of places to go with children.
The walk to the lake is the must-do.
House location is close to Roturua and very easy to find.
We sincerely hope to come again one day.
Many thanks to Donna
Lovely vacation rental in Rotorua
Woodstock is an amazing property located in a stunning location. The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable. It has all the facilities like a fully equipped kitchen, washer, dryer, free parking. Forget the hotels and give this a try and you will not regret it for a moment. You do need a car as it is away from the city centre ( not far though). The pictures cant do justice to the place which is beautiful beyond words. It is great for couples or families. Loved our stay there and will be back for a longer stay. Thank you Donna and Dennis for all your help from the booking to our actual stay there. You both were wonderful. Cheers to both of you!!
Stunning setting on a sheep farm/ranch
This place absolutely knocked my and my group's socks off. It was simply amazing. The beauty was outstanding, likely one of the prettiest places I have ever stayed. The house was perfect, and had EVERYTHING we needed. WIFI was included, along with washer and dryer. Even had washing detergent. The view from the living area and bedrooms is to die for. All linens were included. Donna was an excellent resource to deal with in arranging the visit and even called during our stay to make sure everything was going well. I would recommend this place beyond a doubt, 1000% Kudos to the owners for allowing others to experience New Zealand in such a way!
Our family of 6 just returned from a 3 week vacation in New Zealand/Australia. While in the Rotorua area, we stayed at the Woodstock Farmstay. This is an absolutely beautiful working sheep station (ranch). The house was very well appointed and very comfortable. It had a very warm "homey" feel and a beatiful view of Green Lake below (a remote, private lake owned by the local Maori tribe). We greatly appreciated the very nice laundry facilities and WIFI access (which can be difficult to find in New Zealand). The kitchen was very well equipped and was very family friendly. The home is very conveniently located just outside of the city of Rotorua so that you can easily access the amenities of Rotorua but also get the advantage of a very private, remote setting. Also we were happily suprised to find that the entry to the long driveway of the property is located just across the road from the Tamaki Maori Village. We attended a traditional Maori Hangi (similar to a Luau) that my children much enjoyed. The home is also located a short 50 minute drive to Hobbiton in Matamata for all you "Hobbit" and "Lord of the Rings" fans (my kids enjoyed the tour of Hobbiton). Also recommend checking out "eat street" in downtown Rotorua and the Redwood forest just outside of Rotorua. Much to explore in the area and wish we would have had more time there. We would definitely stay in this beautiful home again. Thank you for sharing it with our family!
