About this property

House 6 sleeps Brittany

House in the countryside between Lorient and Quimper 25 minutes from the beach ...

enclosed garden of 1500m ², with large south-facing terrace (table, chairs and sunbath available)

Ground floor: large living room with open kitchen and equipped (fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker), 1 master bedroom with en suite shower room, 1 separate toilet, 1 garage with washing machine and dryer -Linen.

1st floor: 1 bedroom with 2 single beds (+ crib), 1 bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with bath and toilet.

other equipment: high chair, WC adapter and pot, pillows and duvets provided for all beds.

From a practical point of view, there is a bakery and a grocery store in the village of Saint Thurien. The nearest supermarket is in Bannalec (7min), where there are also banks and other shops. You can also go shopping in Quimperlé 10 min. There is a large commercial area.

The beaches :

The nearest is Le Pouldu, a little after Clohars Carnoët.

There are also Guidel beaches where you will find a bike and pedestrian path along the sea as well as games for children. If you push a little further, you will fall on the Forbidden Fort.

On the side of Moëlan on sea, you have the beach of Kerfany which is enclaved, family with games. On both sides of this beach, beautiful walks along the sea with views of the Aven.

From the side, other beaches are quickly accessible like that of Rospico.


Towns :

Quimperlé, historic town with pedestrian streets and basilica.

Doëlan left or right bank will take you to a small port. You can buy fish at the auction.

Pont Aven is famous for its Breton pancakes and painters.

Concarneau and its closed city. In this summer period, there may be medieval festivities. You can enjoy fish at the end of the evening, the return of fishing.

Quimper with his old center. Around Quimper, there is Bénodet, Fouesnant with the election of Miss Gorse during July

Lorient, which was destroyed during the war has no more charm than that.

Brest, depending on the weather, there is the aquarium. It takes 1 hour to get there.



Nature side:

In Saint-Thurien: Walks are accessible with a departure in the center of the village, the river Troyzol is very pleasant.

To cycle safely, the greenway to Scaër. (10 min from the house)

Manoir de Kernault in Mellac is nice for a family walk (10 min from the house)

Ile de Groix, a small island about 15 km from the Lorient coast. You take the boat to Lorient. there are several companies that serve it. You can spend the day with a bike rental to go around the island. There are carts to walk the children.

At 1h drive home, towards the peninsula of Quiberon, you can take the boat to Belle Ile. You can also enjoy the charms of the peninsula including the wild coast.

Huelgoat, the trembling rock in the center of Finistère, little tower to the Monts d'Arrées to enjoy the highest point of Brittany.

At 1h ++, the peninsula Crozon, Pointe Saint Mathieu, the tip of the Raz, the tip of the Torch and the rocks of Saint Guenolé offers beautiful landscapes.

The island of Ouessant with a departure from Brest ...

During the festival period, enjoy the Fest Noz or Fest Deiz to discover the Breton culture. There are also traditional Breton weddings in period dress in Bannalec.

During the first week of August, do not miss the interceltic festival in Lorient with its parade.
