About this property

Villa of the 7 Angels (New Listing) Old Winery transformed to a Cycladic villa

An old Winery renovated and transformed into a villa. Pure rustic, nearly authentic from the times that the winery was operating. Situated in the peaceful and traditional village of "Finikia" on the north-west side of Santorini, at a walking distance from Oia. Each house has separate terraces over viewing the wine fields of Oia and the Aegean sea.
Sleeps 8 persons.

The space
This is an entire two floor building of 160 m2, with one yard and a terrace of 30 m2, both with sea view.
Includes the (ground floor) renovated old winery “House of the Angels Share” with the “House of the seven ships” on top of the building.

House of the Seven Ships.
Is the upper floor structure of the “House of the seven Angels”. This is a 60 m2 house built in the traditional Santorinian way, on the top of an old winery. Although connected to the winery’s court via steep stone stair, this house has is completely independent with its own street entrance and private yard with sea view

In former times, this house was utilized for accommodation of the ship-captain and owner of the winery during the vine harvest season.

The house has a sizable terrace of 30 m2 with views over the Aegean Sea and the vineyards of Finikia.

The houses entrance is from the terrace-veranda. House is composed by the main domed chamber (with a build double sofa-bed and an indoors dinning corner), domed bedroom (with one double build bed), one sizable bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen.

Sleeps 2 (max) 4 persons

House of the Angels 120 m2.
Is the ground floor of the “House of the seven Angels”. It is completely independent with own street entrance and private yard with sea view for exclusive use. A most typical cave winery of the 18th century, renovated to a residential house.
The house is composed by two large completely underground caves (Canava domed halls). Caves are interconnected by a low-ceiling corridor and have spacious entrances from the house yard. In some parts, house ceilings are low as less than 2 meters.
Spacious open kitchen in the deep of the larger domed cave (living room with two robust wine barrels on its side). Cooking equipment includes kitchen with four electrical burners, electrical stove and all kinds of cooking utensils.
Two indoor simple bathrooms, one for each hall include WC and shower. The very low entrance to the one bathroom, gives an idea of the short stature of the people living in the house in previous centuries.
Decoration and style of the house is pure rustic, nearly authentic from the times that the winery was operating. Wine making equipment of former times still stands in the larger hall, like wine barrels and grape pressing machines. All furniture is authentic old and has been used for many decades.
The private yard of the house (about 25 m2) is protected by a thick surrounding wall, safeguarding its privacy. Wall is lower on the direction of the sea for allowing open view to the blue Aegean and the wine fields of Oia. Entrance is from the pedestrian road of the village’s

Ideal for 4 persons.
