If one follows the narrow winding road from the square, he will eventually come across the welcoming doors of Mansion Kyani. Situated on a hill top, overlooking the surrounding vineyards, the village of Megalohori and the sparkling Aegean in the distance, this harmonic dwelling offers stupendous, all encompassing views.
Upon entering into the courtyard, which is hand - laid by local craftsmen in the traditional "Plakoto", cobblestone paved style, one sees that this mansion affords three separate living areas, two in the ground floor and one in the first, connected by an outside stone flight of stairs.
There is also a recently added extravagant infinity swimming pool and sun deck, made entirely by volcanic rock, where the guests can relax in a beautiful scenery, which is illuminated in a dramatic way during night-time, offering an unforgettable experience.
The serenity of the mansion's sculpture is evident the moment one enters the barn door on the ground floor which leads you into a compact fully equipped kitchen. Original archways lead through into the magnificent master bedroom with a domed ceiling. An extravagant en - suite bathroom features a large tub and separate shower.
Starting again from the beautiful courtyard, original wooden doors lead into the spacious second double bedroom, which also features an en-suite comfortable second bathroom.
The first floor of this Mansion offers an expansive large terrace, perfect for outside dining, with panoramic views of the surrounding area. Inside, original wooden floors have been restored. The many windows on the upper level of this property allow for brightness and airiness as the beautiful light of the Cyclades seeps through. The comfortable double bedroom on this floor boasts views overlooking the vineyards to one side and the Seas of the Aegean to the other. The same views are enjoyed from the dining room which can comfortably accommodate 6 persons.
On the same floor, there is a spacious bathroom with large tub and separate restroom. The cleverly designed open - plan kitchen and well appointed living area allow for casual entertaining.
Combined, this Villa can accommodate up to 6 guests. The Mansion Kyani provides a perfect base for those wanting to explore the many different facets of the island of Santorini.

Super villa in Santorini
Amazing house in a great location, pictures are very accurate. The house faces several churches (couldn't stop taking pictures) and a view of the ocean in the distance. Very quaint but with modern amenities. We visited the family winery which was next door and everyone there was really nice! Great pickup and drop-off service to the airport and the included rental car was a huge bonus! Thanks to Takis and Nico....we will be back!
thank you for the kind words!
We hope you will come back very soon!
My family and I had a fantastic holiday in Santorini Island staying in the ancient and quiet Megalochori village. The traditional villa where we have been was a charming complex very well functional with spacious rooms and beautiful furniture. We enjoyied the sunny and huge open spaces, terraces and swimming pool.
The property is perfectly mantained, people who welcomed us very kind and friendly.
I sincerely recommend this property to my friends.
thank you so much for the kind words!
It was a true pleasure to have you and your family in our villa and we hope to see you again the soonest possible!
Amazing place to stay !
We had an amazing time in Santorini and especially at the Mansion Kyani. The space was perfect for the 6 of us and absolutely beautiful! It was great that it was away from the busier areas but always just a short car ride away . Takis and Jackie were great to correspond with , they were always quick to reply and made themselves available if needed. We had an overall great experience!
we are thrilled to know that you had such a good time in Mansion Kyani!
Thank you for choosing us for your holidays and we hope to see you again soon!

This is the place to stay in Santorini. Oia is way too touristy. Megalochori is perfect .... a real place ... and you have access to everything. Jackie as concierge was beyond helpful!
Private Villa in a Cute Town - Can't Beat It
If you are looking for a great, big, stone villa for a group of friends/family in a quaint little town, look no further. There is tremendous indoor and outdoor space, the cave master bedroom and the rooftop living room are simply gorgeous. The town is so cute, very easy to walk and it has 5 very yummy restaurants within a minute's walk. Stock up on wine and snacks at the local market, enjoy the skyline views and don't forget to meet Takis the owner...he's the man!
We stayed at Villa Kyani for 2 beautiful weeks in August 2016. The villa is centrally located and just a few steps to the town center of Megalochri.
The home itself has 3 suite-like apartments each with its own full bath. The garden and outside area of this home is absolutely beautiful and we spent most of our time together in the garden. The pool was a huge hit with all the children. Internet is available. Lovely views of the mountains and the town - the sea can be seen at a far distance.
The villa is in the perfect town for a family with all aged children(I have a 2 year old). The town of Megalochri is close to the best beaches on the island and is a perfect true getaway. We visited the island's bigger tourist attractions like the town of Oia when we wanted, but preferred to be away from the bus loads of tourists and the frenzy.
Jackie was the caretaker and helped us find the most fantastic baby sitter. She helped us get reservations at wonderful restaurants and planned a beautiful boat trip.
The local people in this town made us feel welcome and cared for. My son was a changed little boy after his 2 weeks on this heavenly island.
Must haves: Rent a car. Breakfast at the nearby Vedema Hotel was a must for us. Make sure to buy water shoes for the beaches.
The peaceful little village of Megalochori is a much sought after and appreciated holiday base from which to enjoy the many attractions of Santorini. Only 6 km from the busy town of Fira, it is another world and an ideal holiday base for those who want to relax and enjoy the many attractions of Santorini from a different perspective. Megalochori was inhabited by many feudal landlords of the island at the past. These merchants and landlords became wealthy exporting the unique Vinsanto wine, which the island still produces. Megalochori had a particularly strong link with Odessa in Russia and many of the church bells which still toll in the village today are from Russia. This traditional settlement has retained its charm and authenticity despite the rapid touristic development of Santorini. Its traffic-free cobblestone streets , its Venetian bell towers and its lovely square with the chic restaurants make Megalochori a première destination for the concerning visitor of Santorini.
