Just steps from a private spring fed lake is this beautiful 6 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with 3 levels of living space! This property sits on 200 acres of wooded land and approximately 15 acres of private lake with only one other cabin (owned by the same owner. Check out listing VRBO # 1925815) This house has something for everyone on your list and is perfect for your secluded getaway. Bring your friends because this house hosts 16 people! Spend your time hiking through the woods, bird watching, fishing, or swimming in the pristine waters. You will love to unwind in the three seasons room or the massive great room with large windows featuring panoramic views of the sparkling lake, woods, and abundance of wildlife. At night enjoy stargazing, watching for northern lights, shooting stars, and fireflies while you sit by the campfire. Afterwards, play ping pong, many of the games provided, or do some cooking in either one of the two kitchens. If you prefer to explore outside of the 200 acres, the area is known for some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state. This area also has many great golf courses. Or bring your ATVs and follow the designated ATV trails though out the county. Our driveway is adjacent to the trails. Also close by there is zip lining, white water adventures, paddle boarding and horseback riding. Whatever you are into, we know you will be able to find it here. We are only a short drive to upper Michigan and the larger city Iron Mountain.

This spacious home was perfect for our family of 9. (7 adults and 2 children) The 6 bedrooms are a plus. Having only 2 bathrooms presents a challenge occasionally Two kitchens, specifically, 2 refrigerators provide plenty of storage for everyone's food donations. The house is so spacious offering plenty of room to gather as a group around the dining table or to find space to be alone, read, or play games. The lake is calm and offers great opportunities for swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding. The best thing about this vacation place is the quiet.

Wonderful family vacation

The cottage was perfectly clean. All amenities that you would want were available. We had 14 people between the ages of 9 months and 55 years old. Plenty of room to accommodate everyone. Everyone had a lot of fun relaxing, grilling, swimming, fishing, having campfires, making smores and numerous other activities. We would definitely return!!

Great vacation home

Our family has rented a lake house in Wisconsin every year for the last 20 years. Every so often, we would move on to a different property, looking for the perfect location. Well, we finally found it. This was our 3rd straight year here and next year we'll be back again. Here are some of the things that make it great: The house and screened in porch is spacious and can easily accommodate 16 people. The house is well stocked with extra chairs, tables, games, and kitchen supplies. The private lake with its floating swim platform and gravel shallow area is perfect for kids of all ages. The owners are absolutely great to communicate with and really care about their renters. The small pontoon boat (with trolling motor), along with the row boat and kayaks make for extra fun on the water. The supply of firewood is seemingly endless. Our kids play countless games on the ping pong table. The double garage provides plenty of room to stash your fishing gear, blow-up toys, etc. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. In short, you will absolutely love your vacation at this property.

We cannot say enough about what a great experience we had at this property. The property was so beautiful and private. The lake was crystal clear and clean. And the house was gorgeous and very well stocked with anything you would need. The owners were a delight to work with, and were very responsive to any questions I had.

Perfect Family Getaway

This is our family's third year at this property and to us, it's perfection! The house is spacious with gorgeous lake views, super clean, and everything we need in terms of cooking/grilling supplies, starter supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, and sink soaps, and toys and games for indoors and out. Linda and Ed really have thought of everything! The private lake is wonderful too, with shallow access for the kids to play in and explore while excellent for fishing, kayaking, and bird watching. We can't wait to go back!

The Perfect Family Vacation

We were 4 generations, from 4 to 96 years old. The was accessibility to all needed for all. Even the 88 year old was able to get on the pontoon boat and fish. The 13 acre lake is private and so you never see anyone else. The beach was safe for the little kids, the house has all the amenities of home, being out in the woods the wifi is slow enough to keep you from working but good enough to get information needed. If you want solitude and great family times around the meal table, playing games, sitting around the campfire and watching the kids play in the water on a lake that is 90% visible from the deck - this is the place.

Perfect -- 5 Stars in every category

The common areas of the house itself are spacious, the bedrooms are large, and the kitchen has everything you need. The pebble beach at the waterfront extends well into the water, providing endless entertainment for the kids (frog catching, fish watching, jumping off the swim platform, etc.) The lake is spring fed, so the water is clear and our kids enjoyed snorkeling. We spent countless hours on our "floaties" just watching the clouds drift by. We caught fish every day (catch and release only) and made good use of the two kayaks and the pontoon boat with electric trolling motor. Communication with Linda was easy, straight forward, and prompt. In short, she really cares about her guests. This is the second time our family has rented this property, and we will be renting again next year. This property can't be beat!

Ideal Family Retreat

For the second year in a row, our 4-generation family has reveled in this peaceful, private lake house. Arriving later than anticipated, we stepped out of the car and couldn't get enough of the blanket of stars overhead, undisturbed by bright lights. The basket of goodies, welcoming note, and Linda's call the next morning made us feel right at home in this spic-n-span, gorgeous lake house. Our days quickly fell into relaxed routines of mornings spent fishing, kayaking, and playing in the crystal clear water on the shallow dockside gravel beach; afternoon naps and reading on the porch; exploratory woodland walks up the gravel lane; and evening sunsets and campfires. Pure delight!

We had another great family vacation this year. The property is perfect and has everything you would need. They have added a pavilion since our visit last year and it was so nice to be able to sit outside and have some extra shade. I'm sure we will be back again.

Amazing!

We have rented cottages in northern WI for the past 7 summers. We have stayed at some really great places, but have always bounced to a new one for the following summer....just trying to find the perfect fit for our family. This summer, we found it at Linda & Ed's beautiful lake house. We have already rebooked for next summer. Beyond a house suitable for our family (fluctuating between 10->16 people throughout the week), we were also looking for a waterfront that would be suitable for smaller children (2, 4, 5 6 year old). Both the house and waterfront were beyond our expectations. The pictures give you a good sense, but let me tell you...in person....completely amazing! The house has everything and anything you may need! Each time I would ask "I wonder if they have xxxx", it would be found one minute later. Very clean, very spacious and very comfortable. The waterfront provided endless entertainment for the kids, The gradual pebble slope into the spring fed/clear water was excellent for the littlest. Frog catching, swimming, boating, fishing, they just had such an exciting time. We are a paddling family, and having a calm/wake free body of water was so nice. Linda, Ed and their team are so kind and clearly communicate everything you need to know! We created so many memories! Both the adults and kids will remember these times forever. Thanks for sharing your lake house with us!

Beautiful Cabin on the Lake

Loved staying at this property. Very private and quiet and more than enough space for our group of 11. Pretty much had the lake to our selves, we loved using the kayaks, paddle boat and fishing everyday. Cabin was completely stocked with everything we needed and more, would definitely stay here again.

We had ages raging from 7-72. All had a great time and enjoyed our family time. The lake is beautiful, plenty of fish, easy to access. Would come back again. Very well stocked as far as kitchen and toys and games.

Fantastic!

The house was big enough for all 16 of us and easily more. The lake wasn't huge but plenty big enough for kayaking and swimming, Even caught some nice bass!! Linda was great to work with and so very nice. The home was stocked with all that we needed. The kids loved catching frogs on the shore. We all loved sitting on the porch just looking at the lake, it was so peaceful. We saw lots of deer and even heard wolves howling while sitting around the campfire! If you have a chance, visit all of the falls in the area, twelve foot falls has a great place to roll up your pants and play in the water! The memories created here will be cherished forever and we will definitely be coming back!!
