In the heart of the Charente Limousine near the Lakes of Haute Charente and a stone's throw from the Périgord vert, you will find charm and rest at the gîte "Le Figuier".
Nearby you will find a multitude of family activities (adventure park, karting, gulf, windsurfing, swimming, walks, hikes and.)
You can also visit the town of Confolens and its medieval town, La Rochefoucauld and its castle, Angoulême the old town, its ramparts and its cathedral. Going a little further Cognac and its cellars (Courvoisier Hennessy Martell) to taste an excellent Cognac. You can also follow the Richard Coeur de Lion road.
For angling enthusiasts the site could not be better chosen. The proximity of many bodies of water will allow you to quench your passion.
Véronique and Bernard will welcome you for your stay at the Le Figuier gîte.
We offer stays of 3 days (2 nights) to 1 week or more. We will do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
You will be welcomed and will have the company of Jazzy and Lemon our two donkeys cross of St André, Gadget our Greyhound Wippet and our hens who will know how to supply you with fresh eggs.
To facilitate your arrival we can prepare an evening meal for you (see our menu)

Accueil chaleureux et grande disponibilité des propriétaires. Gite tres joliment décoré et ou rien ne manque. Les extérieurs sont tres bien entretenus et la piscine est top !Vacances au calme et très reposantes. Nous recommandons ce gîte !

Le Figuier

Un très bel endroit au vert et au calme, idéal pour quelques jours de repos. Véronique et Bernard sont des hôtes très accueillants tout en discrétion. Un grand merci !

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au gîte du Figuier. Le gîte est superbe, le cadre agréable, les hôtes accueillant et discret ! Nous avons pu profiter de nombreuses activités :padle,velo rail ,accro-branche,marchés,baignade au lac. Les enfants étaient ravies. Encore merci pour cette agréable séjour ! Lala famille Choplain

Vacances verdoyantes

Très bel endroit où tout est à disposition. Les hôtes sont charmands et à l'écoute. Le lieu est superbe, au calme en pleine campagne. Les ânes Jazzy et Lemon, adorables nous ont accompagnés tout au long du séjour. Beaucoup de lieux à visiter dans les environs sans faire des centaines de kilomètres : Cognac, Angoulême ( je conseille le petit trai, superbe ballade d'une heure et demi dans toute la ville pour découvrir les fresques des plus grands auteurs de BD), Oradour sur Glane et l'océan un peu plus loin. Nous revenons reposés et la tête pleine de bezux souvenirs.

Ons verblijf was gewoon uitstekend. Mooie gite en perfect afgewerkte tuin. Het huisje was heel gezliigen en hyper uitgerust. De rustige natuur en landschappen waren heel mooi. Heel veel te ontdekken.

Logement plein de charme et très propre. A l'extérieur, piscine, terrasse, barbecue... ensemble très bien entretenu. Vraiment rien a dire... juste à revenir. MERCI

Superbe semaine de vacances

Nous avons passé une superbe première semaine de vacances. Le gîte est très bien aménagé et on y trouve tout ce dont on a besoin. La cuisine est très fonctionnelle, les chambres sont très belles, la salle de bain très clean. Tout était propre. Décoré avec beaucoup de goût par Véronique. Bernard et Veronique sont charmants et aux petits soins mais nous laissent aussi l’autonomie désirée. Un chouette accueil avec des œufs frais, de la confiture de figue extra et des noix. Et les ânes garantissent un petit peu d’animation dans ce coin très calme :-) A conseiller, recommander, et noter pour un éventuel prochain séjour! Bonne continuation Lizz et Frank

Charme in der Charente - ideal zum Entspannen

Vom Esel IA geweckt, Frühstück im Schatten der Kiwi mit frischen Eiern der Hühner der Vermieter, Blick über die grünen Wiesen, in der Ferne Limousin Rinder, weiße und schwarze Pferde. Abends ein betörender Sternenhimmel und absolute Ruhe, mit kühlen Nachtstunden, selbst im Hochsommer. Liebevoll mit Charme eingerichtetes altes Gemäuer, mit top moderner Dusche und Bad. Hochfunktionelle Küche, die zum Zubereiten lokaler Köstlichkeiten geradezu einlädt. Der kleine Pool ist eine willkommene Erfrischung und unter dem großen Walnussbaum kann man im Schatten in der Liege den Tag gut vorbeiziehen lassen, mit einem guten Buch oder einem Gläschen Pineau de Charente. Das Vermieter Pärchen Veronique und Bernhard ist absolut herzlich und zuvorkommend und jederzeit für Fragen ansprechbar, auf Englisch und Französisch. Die Ruhe und malerische Lage des Ortes bedingt jedoch, dass der Bäcker nicht direkt um die Ecke und auch der Supermarkt in etwas weiterer Entfernung zu finden ist. Die Fahrten durch das hügelige Gebiet sind jedoch eine Augenweide und ab und an ist auch einmal Wild zu sehen, so dass dies eine gelungene Abwechslung ist. In der Umgebung gibt es so das eine oder andere zu entdecken: wir können sehr La Rochefoucauld ,das Chateau und den kleinen Ort empfehlen, wo auch die eine oder andere Bar oder Restaurant zur Einkehr einlädt. Insgesamt ein sehr entspannter und schöner Urlaub für uns gewesen in la Figuier.
