Greener Glamping Mountain Yurt North Wales - Sleeps 4 - Pet and Child Friendly
Ty Crwn Bach Idris is a very comfortable yurt with spectacular views which can easily accommodate four people. It has a double bed and a double sofa bed. It is beautifully furnished with lovely linens, wall hangings, rugs and fairy lights creating a warm and magical space.
The log cabin (for your sole use due to the need for COVID-19 related self containment) near the yurt contains a full kitchen (including gas cooker, electric fridge, toaster, sink with hot and cold water), dining area and shower room with power shower, flushing toilet and sink. If you'd like to experience real eco living then a compost loo can be made available along with an outdoor cooking area and shower cubicle.
There is a wood burning stove which heats up the space very quickly and is perfect for boiling the kettle for a warming cuppa or making a pan of tasty soup/stew. All pots/pans, crockery and cutlery, mugs and glasses are provided. We simply ask that you wash them before you leave.
The yurt is light and airy with a clear round glass opening window in the roof and a south facing stable door to help keep things cool on sunny days and hot summer nights. The floor and walls are insulated so it's toasty even in the coldest of winters.
The covered deck outside the yurt provides somewhere sheltered to sit and enjoy the BBQ or the fire pit, although there are grassy areas to use if you would prefer.
In keeping with the ethos of our home, we have tried to use reclaimed/recycled/up cycled materials wherever possible.
There is also a BBQ and a fire pit.
There are standard electrical sockets in the yurt and low energy lighting there and in the bathroom/kitchen which all run off renewable energy sources. So by staying in Ty Crwn Bach Idris you will be doing your bit to reduce pollution and carbon emissions.
Our other yurt is situated about 30m away but screened by trees/bushes and with its own seating area, fire pit etc. You’ll be hard pressed to remember it’s even there! The other yurt accommodates up to seven more guests, and is available if you would like to have a larger group come to stay. Exclusive use of the whole site is possible if you want complete privacy. There would be extra costs associated with arranging this. Please see https://www.homeaway.co.uk/p1847835 and contact us for further information.
Pets only allowed by negotiation and fee of £10/night will apply.
If you need assistance with anything just ask. We are here to help and glad to do so. :-)

Peaceful atmosphere, perfect for when you need a space to relax in
Booked last minute for a half term hike up Snowden. This was the perfect place to discover Snowdon and surrounding areas! The place had a unique "off grid" twist which we just loved. The weather worked in our favour so the whole short break was truly amazing. Myself, partner, daughter and dog highly recommend! Full use of the kitchen facilities as well, all private to your needs were really great!
This place hasn't been look after at all for years! When we arrived could only see massive stinging nettles and dumping area. The yurt was dirty, smelled of damp and mould. The towels were not provided as per webside offer and beds were uncomfortable and bedding didn't smell fresh at all. The lightning didn't work on a patio either. The kitchen is spacious and has good stove hower the pots and pans were old and burnt. The shower didn't have water when the water was used in the kitchen in the same time. The location is amazing. We just feel that what was advertised and see on the webside doesn't not truly reflect the standard currently.
Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the rural location, facilities on site are good, fully equipped kitchen and good shower facilities. Only downside could be the access road, steep and narrow with lots of pot holes, thankfully not a problem with a 4x4.

Hi Sarah. So glad that you enjoyed your stay here. It's a shame you didn't give us 4 stars as do over 98% of guests who stay here! The tarmac access road is council maintained. So we can't do much about it unfortunately. Sorry.
Very positive experience of living off grid, with gentle pointers about sustainability & living off grid . It is really a dream of a place to unwind , go for walks . Would highly recommend & hope to visit again
The property is exactly as advertised and once we'd been shown around the facilities we were left to ourselves. The weather was sunny giving us clear views for miles and the views are great. The yurt was comfortable and we slept really well. The time flew by and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fun and friendly eco glamping
We’ve just had a lovely weekend in the small Yurt with our two dogs. The weather was chilli but that didn’t matter as the welcome was warm and the Yurt was snug and toasty. Our hilights were sitting in the hammock seats admiring the view, toasting tea cakes for breakfast in the woodburner, sitting around the campfire watching the moon rise in the evening, the visits from the friendly chickens, and the beautiful l walks straight out of the property. We would definitely recommend and are planning our return.

Awesome
The trip was everything we asked for - a getaway from everything, with beautiful views and awesome walks. Nathan and Shayne were so nice and welcoming and the yurt was amazing! The hammocks outside were a nice touch and the pit fire was a really nice way to end evenings. Would definitely recommend and definitely want to return!

fantastic place to stay. The owner Nathan was really friendly and generous.
The yurt had everything you need if your a person who doesn't need much. Fantastic walks and views of the country side. Weather was terrible but still had an amazing break as a couple.
There's hammocks to sit and enjoy nature in, felt really good to get back to grass roots living. But still relatively comfortable. Fire heats up the place really quickly, 20 mins or so. cheers Nath

Really pleased that you all enjoyed yourselves. Thanks for leaving everything so tidy. You are welcome back any time with Mr B!! See you in the summer when there lots of sunshine, a gentle breeze (rather than a howling gale!!) and time to chill with you around the bug fire pit. All the best. Shayne and Nathan

Perfect getaway
The yurt is an amazing place to stay if you are looking for a back to nature getaway. We stayed two nights and the peace and calm we experienced was exactly what we were looking for as we live in a busy city. The views from the yurt are wonderful and the rain only added to it. When the sun did come out the patio gets it all day and there is a wonderful sunset to look forward to.
The yurt was clean and ready for our arrival. It's very cosy and comfy. Everything you need for your stay is available and the family are friendly and helpful #thanks for the eggs.
One of the best short breaks we have had in ages. Planning a return visit, will rrecommend to friends and family.

Cosy, spacious and very relaxing
My partner is big on camping so for her birthday I decided we try glamping as a fun alternative.
The Yurt was great, very spacious for the both of us and very well maintained. Inside a set of fairy lights and ufo lights add a romantic touch once night approaches, combine that with the log burner which was already pre fueled, we just needed to light it, it made for a lovely atmosphere.
Nathan the owner was very pleasant and friendly and made us feel very comfortable at the property.
If we were looking to glamp again we would definitely revisit.
