The OVO Network team’s opinion -

This 200m2 chalet has five bedrooms, and five bathrooms to accommodate 14 guests over two floors.

We especially love that two of the five bedrooms have extra beds so families of four, friends or cousins can share. Three of the bedrooms are en suite, and the two other bedrooms have each their own bathroom on the landing. There is also an independent WC in the chalet. One of the bedrooms has a comfy sofa with a second TV and room for kids to play with toys. Chalet Tolar has gained our Cool 4 Kids status.

The outdoor space is equally as important as the indoors at Chalet Tolar, with a gorgeous hot tub set into the bank, a flat garden, a sun trap terrace with dining table, and stunning views in every direction.

Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included.

Please note: There is a short steep section of road just before you reach / just as you leave the chalet. To clear this section and to be able to move around the resort safely you need winter tyres and /or snow chains (and know how to use them). If you are flying in and picking up a hired car, please check that chains or winter tyres are included before you set off. IMPORTANT : although the property is pet friendly, you will have to pay an extra fee of 100 euros on arrival for cleaning purpose if you bring your pet. Very young children should not be left unsupervised in the garden.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We require a security deposit of €1,000 via a pre-authentication of your credit or debit card, which does not affect your card balance. The pre-authentication will be released as soon as we’ve checked the property and confirmed there is no damage. This is normally done right after your stay, but it could take up to 14 days after your departure.

PLEASE NOTE
If you cancel your booking and are due a refund, we will deduct any third party payment processing or foreign exchange fees related to the booking that we have been charged from the amount refunded.

Outstanding Chalet on edge of Chinaillon

We had a fantastic stay in Harriet's chalet with a group of 8 friends, the chalet is spacious , warm (underfloor heating )and wonderfully comfortable. The property was clean , beautifully maintained and has a well equipped kitchen. There are many nice extras as well , (table tennis , DVD's , games , ski boot heater ). The location is very good, you can walk to ski bus stop easily at end of drive . Walk 5 mins to bars and Restaurants. We had a really wonderful ski holiday . Harriet was easy to deal with , and Mike (key holder and chalet manager )made the change over easy , and was great with advice and information.

Célébrations familiales inoubliables

Chalet magnifique géré par Mike, dont l’extrême gentillesse et la disponibilité ont été un vrai plus. Incroyable ! Jacuzzi utilisable par tous les temps : nous sommes arrivés sous la neige le premier jour, qui a ensuite laissé place à du beau temps. Nous avons ainsi pu célébrer les 70 ans de ma femme et nos 50 ans de mariage dans un cadre exceptionnel, entourés de nos fils et de tous nos petits-enfants.

Super chalet, bien situé, agréable pour une semaine au calme, près de la navette qui dépose au pied des pistes, cuisine bien équipée avec un robot ménager et un grand four (qui chauffe un peu fort) et une hotte un peu basse pour la tête des grands. Plein de jeux pour petits et grands (ping-pong, fléchettes, jeux de société, DVD en anglais, etc.). Mike est serviable et disponible pas loin en cas de problème. Parfait pour une semaine entre amis.

Le jacuzzi et les vues splendides !

Le chalet est vraiment bien orienté, ensoleillé toute la journée. Nous avons apprécié les moments dans le jacuzzi avec la vue splendide. Navette bus gratuite à 100m du chalet. Très pratique la pièce pour y stocker les chaussures, skis, etc. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

After 3 years of waiting, we weren't disappointed!

Chalet Tolar is beautifully set up as a home away from home. It's spacious, comfortable and has everything you could need. A lovely view and aspect from the garden, too. The hot tub was a great bonus for both the kids and the adults. Loved it all! After almost three years of waiting to come to Chalet Tolar (due to pandemic disruption), our expectations were pretty high for this holiday. We weren't disappointed.

Perfect for large groups

We had a wonderful time in Chalet Tolar. Plenty of space with 14 people. The communication was very good, clear and fast. The house was amazing, the facilities in the house were great, everything we needed was available. We highly recommend this chalet and will hopefully come back.

Super chalet

Nous avons passé une agréable semaine dans votre chalet. Rien ne manque dans cette location. Beaucoup de place, de belles chambres, grande pièce à vivre. On a aussi apprécié le local pour les skis, avec la machine pour sécher les chaussures. Le bain nordique est un plus, pour se relaxer après une journée de sport. Emplacement idéal avec superbe vue sur les montagnes. Les enfants ont adoré la salle de jeux au sous-sol, et naturellement leurs lits de la chambre n°3 ; ils ont appelé cela les cavernes... Tous ont apprécié ce chalet... Nous reviendrons sûrement...

A perfect chalet for two families

We were two families with 3 kids each: 8y,6y,1y spent 8 nights in the chalet. The chalet was perfect for us: well equipped with all facilities for kids and babies: games, xbox, jacuzzi, baby cots, washing machine and lots of beds and space, Anything we needed Mike was very helpful. For us the chalet was perfect! One thing to keep in mind is the location- due to the roads it takes at least 30 min to get to hiking areas- not big deal

A great place to stay for large group to stay and ski

This was our second stay in Chalet Etoile and we would go back a 3rd time! High quality facilities with ample space to dry/ store our skiing kit every day. Chalet is warm and snug with plenty of hot water for showers, ample bathroom facilities and well equipped kitchen.

A great Place to stay

We have now stayed in Chalet Etoile 3 times (twice at Feb /half term and once in late March). It is a wonderful, spacious, chalet that offers outstanding accommodation. It is always spotlessly clean and benefits from being a sunday to sunday rental thus enabling you to avoid the huge crowds on the motorways. The owners are flexible and a delight to rent from (frequently returning to us things our kids have left in the chalet). The chalet is a very short bus or car ride from the slopes and is extremely convenient for everything. We have stayed in countless places in and around the area over the past 15 years and this one is the best.

Exceptional

Chalet Etoile was even better than described. The chalet was incredibly comfortable and spacious, perfect for two families. the location of the chalet was good, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in the village and the pistes. For those not wanting to walk or drive, the ski bus stop next to the chalet was great. We cant wait to go back. Mike (the chalet manager) was fantastic.
