This apartment has absolutely everything you would need. Great for families. Carlos is an excellent host always answering questions quickly and providing lots of information to make the stay enjoyable. An easy walk to the marina and the historic district.

Excellent host great apartment

Carlos great communication was able to arrange an early check in and rental car. Assisted with transport of luggage. Apartment very clean and spacious true to listing photos. Appreciated the extras like coffee and spices. Easy parking in front of building. Would recommend to anyone visiting Ponta Delgada.

Rotting meat found in microwave

Rotting meat left in microwave. Found it on second day after we came home to a rancid smell and an infestation of flies. After more careful inspection it was obvious the kitchen had not been cleaned at all (and god know’s what else). The glasses were in the cabinet with lipstick on them. When we immediately told the owner, he replied with “sorry” and then followed up with “are you going to be out on time so the next person could start their rental” (paraphrasing, but you can see the screenshots of the texts on this post for yourself). This was the last 2 days of our trip- we arrived late and left early so we did not notice until it was too late to make a complaint to vrbo and find another lace to stay.

Perfect rental

This apartment had everything we needed for 10 days. There was 5 of us and it was big enough. It is close to everything in the city of Ponta Delgada. You can walk everywhere which we loved, It was very easy to communicate with Carlos. We did not have any issues.

Ponta Delgado stay

The property was as advertised. Carlos did a great job communicating with us. We were able to walk to the center of town in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Great Place to stay!

We just got back from 10 days in Portugal, which included stays in Porto, Lisbon and Sao Miguel. Sao Miguel was our favorite, and part of what made it our favorite, was not only the beautiful island, but Carlos’s place. It was in a great location, making it easy to travel to all other parts of the island. Carlos helped me to rent a car, and we never had a problem finding parking at the apartment, there was plenty right out front. We arrived on the island prior to check-in so the self-check in/out made it very easy and convenient so we didn’t have to rush back from sightseeing to meet and get keys like we had to at other rentals. Carlos was easy to communicate with and provided a lot of useful information about the apartment, area and island. The building was secure and serviced by two elevators, which made it easy for my mom with a bad hip. The apartment was quiet, very clean and very spacious with all the amenities needed. It also had and an Ocean View! If I’m ever back in Sao Miguel I would definitely stay here again!

Carlos is wonderful as well as the apartment.

Carlos was on top of everything and so easy to communicate with. He met us at the airport and helped us check in. The apartment is very spacious and immaculate! Location is great. Easy walking distance to supermarket, bakery, and center of the city. We were 3 women In our 70’s and 80’s and each of us had our own bedroom which was so comfortable. I loved the Azores! And I loved our stay at Carlos comfortable apartment. Thank you for everything, Carlos.

Amazing

This place was so wonderful to stay at, and the host was always there if we needed anything. Thank you for letting us stay in your place and hopefully we will use it again on our next adventure to Sao Miguel.

Ponta Delgada Perfect

Great city location! We are an active family so the waking & exploring the cobble streets suited us perfect. We preferred not to drive the narrow lanes of the old town so it was a great location to walk from (approximately 10 minutes). Renting from Carlos was easy. Excellent communication. Rental unit is as described. Simple, clean, open layout that is perfect for family or couple group. It was perfect location to spend time both walking in old city & travelling the rest of the island by car. Easy access to grocery, restaurants & cafes. The unit had all the basics that we needed. A late February destination may not be exactly what people would consider but we loved how easy it was to enjoy the island sights without crowds. Definitely need layers but we averaged 16 degrees with sun & the odd rain shower. Thank you Carlos for offering your home. We loved your Island & how welcoming everyone was. Jennifer & family.

Finally got here - re-planned from 2020

Great trip - great location. We rented a car so getting around the island from this location was super easy and convenient. Major grocery store just 4 minutes away. Parking was never an issue. The apartment itself was exactly as advertised- clean, spacious, convenient. And carlos shared great locations close to the apt.

Great place in the city!

Perfect stay for a family

If you're looking for a place to stay in the city and accommodate your family with space and privacy, this apartment will be just that. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, perfect location near bakeries, cafes, restaurants and 10 min walk to the heart of Ponta Delgada. Plenty of parking and safe to walk around at night. Carlos was tentative to my requests and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

A casa é extraordinária, é muito espaçosa, têm todas as condições para se poder fazer as refeições em casa, lavar e secar a roupa, fica muito bem localizada perto do centro mas numa zona muito sossegada. A garagem é uma mais valia importante. Têm muita luz natural e uma ótima vista.

Imóvel em excelentes condições, tudo exatamente igual às fotos. Ideal para férias em família, próximo do centro, muito bem localizado. Awesome location

This apartment was everything we were looking for: excellent location, near incredible market (meat, fish, vegetable, fruits and cheese), walking distance to town and restaurants, excellent welcome from Carlos with a personal pickup from the airport and drop off, great apartment with full kitchen and laundry room. Carlos promptly answered all the questions we had, including those about recycling. Future renters should know all the mattresses are hard. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

The advertisement was accurate. The apartment was spacious with a sea view and quiet. There was lots of parking and downtown was only a 10 to 15 minute comfortable walk. Although there was no air-conditioning it was more than comfortable with the fans. The was an excellent bakery within 200 metres and a grocery store within 100 metres. Carlos our host was extremely helpful and accommodating. He transferred us to the airport and back. He made excellent suggestions for restaurants and put us in contact with a car rental agency that was extremely reasonable compared to quotes we had obtained through our own research. The apartment had all the amenities except a dryer. But air drying is the Azorean way. Overall excellent.

My name is CARLOS and I am from the island of São Miguel (Azores). I studied and started working in Lisbon, but in 2000 I returned to São Miguel. I am married, I have 3 children and I live in Ponta Delgada.

In 2015 I began to dedicate myself to rent holidays homes, being currently my main activity. I am the owner and manager of some properties in Ponta Delgada: 2 apartments in the center of Ponta Delgada and a house at seaside.

I like to welcome my guests and to give them an excellent holiday in São Miguel. In addition to the quality and good location of my properties, I am always available (WhatsApp) for guests, with information on tour guides of the main places to visit and recommendations for restaurants.

I am a rent-a-car partner, and I can book the car.
I can also arrange the transfer from the airport to the property and vice versa, at any time.
