The Trotteurs’ Cottage is a spacious family home (fully renovated) with a 2,500m² enclosed garden.
With a total surface of 120m², it includes:
🔹 Ground floor:
• A lovely entrance opening onto the dining room with a wood-burning stove
• A bright and comfortable living room (TV) with access to the terrace, offering a stunning view of the garden and the Vallée de la Vie
• A modern fully equipped kitchen
• A bathroom with shower and toilet

🔹 Upstairs:
• 1 bedroom with a 160x200 bed and a private bathroom with toilet
• 1 bedroom with a 140x200 bed
• 1 bedroom with two single beds

Fantastic farmhouse near Roiville

So peaceful and hilly and pretty with sparkling clean interiors and comfortable beds. A large garden enjoyed by 2 dogs and lovely outdoor seating area and sun loungers.

Beautiful Trotteurs

We had a lovely week at this beautiful gite in Roiville . It is well laid out inside and has everything you need the gardens are perfect . The owners are a really lovely couple and nothing is to much trouble . The gardens are perfect and the view is stunning . We will definitely be going back again soon . Would highly recommend this beautiful place

Lovely stay

We had a lovely few days relaxing in the countryside. Great property, lovely open space for kids to play and gorgeous peaceful views across the valley. We did a day trip to Paris, taking the train from L’Aigle. Check in and out very easy and Nathalie an attentive and helpful host. Would recommend!

Wonderful stay in an idyllic and picturesque setting, with racehorses at the tip of our fingers

We had rather nice weather and were able to enjoy the outdoor spaces of the property, taking all our meals on the terrace with a wonderful view overlooking the owner's horses peacefully grazing in the valley. The highlight, which we and our neighbors from the Airbnb tried not to miss, was watching the owner exercise some of the trotters, racing them on a small track winding through the fields—a very special experience. During the day, we explored the beautiful area around the cottage, indulging in cheese, cider, and Calvados. We will try to come back soon.

Pleasant home in quiet and beautiful environment

Nathalie welcomed us warmly and we felt immediately at home. Everything you need is in place, with a big fridge and a separate freezer. The house is well maintained and nicely renovated and very clean. The terrace (with large table) offers a superb view on the surroundings. However, as also can be seen on the photos, all rooms are connected: persons sleeping in the last room need to pass the two other rooms to get down, but the last room also has a separate toilet. You can immediately start a hike starting from the house in the beautiful region, full of suprising manors. As you are about one hour driving from Caen, you can also easily visit Caen and the Mémorial and the D-day beaches.

Beautiful setting

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely setting. The hosts were friendly and very responsive. Bedding needs and towels were not provided as part of the rental and we had to pay an extra fee of 50 euro for sheets, pillow case and towels. We think this should be included in the description rather than provide this information shortly before rental date. Also given it was winter time and the radiator heat was not sufficient to keep us comfortable, we would have appreciated extra blankets. As such we had to wear layers of clothing. Otherwise it was a very nice stay, place was clean, nice kitchen supplies and we appreciated the prompt and friendly service of our hosts. We would stay again if the weather was warmer.

Je suis très surprise de lire votre commentaire. Concernant le froid, il est certain qu'en réservant au mois de février en Normandie, vous ne pouvez pas vous attendre à avoir des températures chaudes et je ne peux pas prévoir la météo que vous aurez lors de votre séjour. Vous n'avez pas eu de chance en effet le jour de votre arrivée il y avait une tempête. Vous disposiez de la cheminée pour faire du feu (le bois était fourni) et chaque pièce bénéficie d'un radiateur électrique. Cela me parait amplement suffisant pour se chauffer. Vous dites que vous n'avez pas eu assez de couverture mais vous ne nous avez rien demandé et par ailleurs vous n'avez pas occupé tous les lits de la maison et chaque lit dispose d'une couette, vous pouviez donc en disposer. Concernant l'option linge de lit et de maison en supplément, c'est bien explicite dans la description sur Abritel, il suffisait de lire correctement à la réservation. Bonne continuation

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux à Roiville au Cottage des Trotteurs. Leur accueil chaleureux, leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité ont largement contribué à rendre nos vacances inoubliables. Le cadre est paisible, authentique et idéal pour se ressourcer en pleine nature. La maison est impeccablement tenue, confortable et parfaite pour les amoureux des chevaux. Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment dans ce gîte plein de charme. L’accueil a été chaleureux et attentionné dès notre arrivée. Le cadre est magnifique, paisible, entouré de nature, parfait pour se ressourcer. Le confort du cottage et la qualité des équipements sont irréprochables — tout est pensé pour que l’on se sente bien.Un vrai coup de cœur également pour la découverte du monde des chevaux de course, que nos hôtes ont pris le temps de partager avec passion. Un havre de paix pour faire un break

Ce gîte est absolument fabuleux. En pleine nature, dans la vallée de la Vie, c'est idéal pour se reposer, se ressourcer, avec chevaux, vaches... à proximité. Le lieu est exceptionnel par sa tranquillité et sa beauté ; même si la 'ville' n'est pas si loin pour trouver toutes les commodités. Le gîte est conforme aux photos et bien agencé pour une famille avec enfants. Il est bien équipé, il ne manque rien. Un grand merci a Nathalie et Benoît pour leur gentillesse et leur accueil ; et d'avoir échangé avec nous sur leur passion et amour du monde équestre. Très disponible et arrangeant ; la communication s'est faite sans problème. Je recommande vraiment ce lieu a qui recherche un endroit paisible où faire une pause nature !

Le verger gîte

Visites touristiques diversifiées, château de Saint Germain de Livet, une petite perle. Visite de la laiterie Graindorge, avec tout ses fromages du pays d’auge. Musée de Montormel, fin de la bataille de Normandie en août 1944…. Gîte sur les hauteurs du pays d’Auge, vues sur les vallons, pâtures, vergers, chevaux, ânes. Dépaysement assuré, tranquillité, calme. Bon accueil par la charmante propriétaire.

Séjour très agréable à la campagne normande

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique et paisible près de Roiville. La maison est chaleureuse, propre et parfaitement renovée. Il ne manque rien, tout le matériel est neuf et de très bonne qualité (la connexion wifi est également excellente). On s'y trouve totalement au calme, car la maison est en pleine campagne et ne se situe pas sur une route fréquentée. Le jardin est très spacieux et offre de très belles vues sur le paysage autour et sur le coucher de soleil. Les enfants ont adoré le trampoline et la possibilité de profiter de la grande pelouse. La maison est également très bien située pour faire des excursions aux alentours (par exemple à Camembert, Livarot, Lisieux, Falaise, au parc d'immersion RustiK, à Clécy, et même à la côte avec Deauville et Trouville). Il y a plusieurs fermes dans les environs qui proposent des produits du terroir (fromage, produits laitiers, cidre, etc.). Nous avons également été très bien accueillis par les propriétaires de la maison, nous espérons revenir prochainement, et nous recommandons vivement cette belle location de vacances.

Eine Woche Ende April mitten in der normannischen Natur

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Aprilwoche in diesem Haus verbracht. Trotz teils nasskalter Witterung war das Haus warm, trocken und gemütlich. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Frau Vallette hat uns sehr gut in das Haus eingeführt und uns jede Menge tolle Tipps mitgegeben (Marktbesucht in Saint-Pierre-Sur-Dives, gute Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung und einen Besuch der nahegelegenen Ciderie mit Verkostung - unbedingt zu empfehlen). Das Haus ist zauberhaft eingerichtet, die Dusche ist fabelhaft, in der Küche ist alles da, was es braucht, um sich jede erdenkbare Mahlzeit zuzubereiten und die Betten sind sehr gut. Überhaupt sind die Schlafräume im Obergeschoss sehr gemütlich. Und die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Angefangen mit den Pferden direkt hinterm Haus, lassen sich aber auch problemlos Hasen und Rehe vom Küchenfenster aus beobachten. Wer Abgeschiedenheit, Ruhe und Natur sucht, wird es hier genießen - wie wir es auch getan haben!

Nous avons passé un très agréable week-end dans ce gîte très bien équipé. Le cadre est reposant avec une très jolie vue sur la campagne environnante et les chevaux des prés attenants qui viennent se faire caresser. Accueil chaleureux et bonnes adresses de la propriétaire.
