Christian camp not vacation property

The house is very nice, but the property the house resides on is a Christian retreat center which was not disclosed on the listing. If you want to go somewhere with your family this place should be fine but do not go under any other circumstances.

The bedroom and bathroom set up worked well for our family. And the playground nearby was a great pluss for the little ones.

Perfect for our family wedding party

Great fit for us as we traveled to our son's wedding held at the Warren dunes park. The trail to the beach gave access to a private section that wasn't crowded ever, even though the public section was at maximum capacity. Suggest you plan on weak or non-existent wifi which makes for better family time and no TV which keeps the noise down so adults can converse! So good 👍 Bring ice cube trays and your own iron for the wedding clothes. Thanks again!

Family Reunion

The Lodge was a perfect place for our family reunion. We all fit comfortably in the house. There was plenty of room outside for games. The fire pit was great for making s’mores. We would definitely go back again. The walk to Lake Michigan was short and very pretty.

Great place

In this beautiful place me and my family had a family reunion. I love that there is no tv and electronic games that make young kids talk and play conventional games. Beach its really close about 15 minutes walk. This was an amazing experience for us. Tracy is very nice and polite host, she was always available for any need.

Family Reunion

Property was perfect for our needs. A lot of beds, big yard, plenty of space for activities. Added bonus for the kids was the playground right next door. Will absolutely be looking to stay again next year.

Tower Hill Weekend

We enjoyed our stay however found it difficult to find path from beach to Tower Hill. We left the rental 1 hour prior to check out but left our cars parked outside so we could walk to the beach. Although we did not see anything stating this was not permitted, we were told there was a late check out charge.

Clean and organized

Our family had a mini vacation and found ourselves in a clean and comfortable location. There was a 10 min walk to the beach and a short drive to a local gas station and store which had anything we needed. The host was very friendly and introduced herself. The host even stocked garbage bags and soap which was very helpful.

Not all that was advertised

We paid hotel prices for campground facilities. Expected a little more for what we paid. Besides paying a hefty cleaning fee we were expected to take all our used linens and put it in bags for cleaning, just like camp. The rooms were just barely adequate. Beds very uncomfortable, too short for a tall person and mattress was rubber covered without a mattress pad to cushion the squeaky rubber. House had nice new appliances, air-conditioning was fine. Kitchen supplies, dishes etc. were fine, bathrooms were fine. When I say it was not all that was advertised, our disappointment was the description in ad of private beach access. Really you should tell visitors that the Warren Dunes State beach area is what to expect, where to go. The actual small 200 feet of private access is under water and when we set up a few feet going south past the muddy water area we had a most unpleasant encounter with beachfront owners. Also make sure to tell visitors that it is not a close little walk to the beach. It is a hike. I think we agreed it was just okay and roomy accommodations for a family like ours but kind of a mid grade experience for the price.

The lodge is new and clean. The beach is a short walk and really nice.

The house is Great! Clean and a lot of space. Volleyball court, fire pit and plenty to do for the entire family. The beach is about a 15 min walk on a trail that may be a challenge for elderly folks and young children but once you get there it's a beautiful private beach. Pack light and you'll be fine

Great retreat

We had a wonderful getaway for our family. The house was new and very clean which gave us confidence in our stay in the midst of coronavirus concerns. It was comfortable and LOVED the sunroom. Since this house is a retreat center, all the beds are twin but we made do with it. We loved the short walk to the beach. Even our young kids were fine with the little hike. The private beach was amazing and so nice that it was not packed. Back at the house, we enjoyed using the grill for dinners and utilized the fire pit every night. The internet service was lacking but a blessing that we got to spend time together without much screen time. Overall, we had a wonderful trip! Thank you Tracy and team for making it a great vacation for our family!

Fit our needs perfectly!!

This property was clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance to the beach - a nice forested path. We were traveling with a family of mostly adults and one younger child. Between the beach, the playground, the hiking trails, and the fire pit, there was always something to do! The only place the property was lacking was in kitchen supplies like cutting boards, steak knives, serving bowls, etc. But there was enough that we managed. Thanks so much to the owners for providing us such a clean and comfortable place!
