Fall Weekend

Just what we needed for a quick weekend getaway. Everything was easy--directions to property and check in were a breeze. Close to Blanchard Springs and hiking trails. Will be back.

Perfect getaway

This cabin is perfectly located off the beaten path but still close to in-town amenities. Plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy but also recommend sitting on the front porch and taking in the natural beauty and sounds of surrounding nature.

Quick getaway in the mountains

Adorable cabin in the middle of the woods. You can access trails right outside the cabin and walk to a stream. We took our dog and she loved it too! My six year old didn’t want to leave!

Perfect Peacefulness

We came into town for the weekend. GPS took us straight to the location but we were able to follow the turn by turn directions given to us. Absolutely beautiful landscape and cabin. Picture perfect. Everything we needed was there. They even made sire turn the air on for us. We didnt want to leave.

This cabin was clean and cute! Definitely would stay here again! Just be mindful that you start to lose signal the closer you get to the cabin. So make sure to screenshot or download the instructions to get to the cabin that the host sends!

Sooo Relaxing!

This cabin is absolutely lovely. The location was perfect. We spent the mornings hiking (before it got too hot!), the afternoons napping, reading or exploring the surrounding towns. We did walk down to the creek via the old logging road. Pup had a great time cooling off in the water. Directions to get there were very easy to follow (and I am directionally challenged) Check in was a breeze. Emily stayed in contact via email. Let's us know of a possible power outage due to maintenance that might effect us but it was all good. Had a most enjoyable tme!

Wooded Haven

The Hiker Hut was an amazing property to stay at. Seclusion but not cut off from the modern amenities. Our kids loved exploring the outdoors and hiking to the creek. Emily was a great host and we will definitely be visiting one of the Riverside Retreats again soon.

Arkansas Vacation

This place was amazing!!! The cabin is beautiful, very clean, and was extremely well stocked. We loved our stay!! The fire pit was our favorite spot, and the hummingbird on the front porch was so adorable! If you want peace and beauty go to this cabin! I had never been to the mountains, and this place made me want to move there. Thank you soooo much!!

Hiker trip

My husband and I typically like to camp for vacations but decided we wanted more creature comforts this time. We couldn’t have found anything better! This area was close enough to a small town but remote enough to feel lost in nature. We were able to roam the multitude of hikes close by (literally out the back door) as well as those more well known/travelled. Then every evening come back to most charming home with every amenity and comfort. Emily was very helpful and responsive (including when we got a flat tire!). I wish all traveling ended up this perfect! Will definitely return!

Fantastic getaway!

As described, great spot with a hiking trail steps from the door, great setup in back with fire pit, will definitely stay again. Dry county so bring your own booze or drive 25 mins north to the liquor store and/or Norfork Brewery. Sleeper sofa is predictably uncomfortable but I’ve yet to find one in 40+ years that isn’t. Great communication from owner as well, very responsive and very helpful!

Secluded Perfection

This was our second visit to Mountain View but first time at the Hiker Hut. We absolutely fell in love with the hut. We loved the location which was tucked back in the woods but only a short drive to area amenities. It's evident the host has put a lot of thought into what guests may need/want during their stay. We are already planning our next visit!

Great Hideaway

My wife and I launched day trips to several locations in North Arkansas from the Hikers Hut and returned in the evening to enjoy quiet time around the outdoor fire pit. Use of the fire pit was easy as firewood was provided. I also took advantage of the hiking trials that are quite literally outside the back door of the cabin, and could have hiked several more days just on those trails. The cabin was 'off the grid' but has excellent internet connectivity that allowed us to 'plug in' as we wanted.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hut. If you are looking for a great, remote location to enjoy the outdoors, this is the place for you. Our communications with Emily were great - she made everything easy. The only downside is the limited storage for our clothes. Would definitely stay again.

Fun trip! We came for a unplugged weekend for some family time and had a great time. The listing was as described, great communication from the owner, everything was clean, and it was super helpful to have suggestions for things to go and places to go. We’d definitely recommend it!

Quiet and serene

To say it was great cabin is a huge understatement. We loved it as soon as we pulled up, and we arrived in the dark. The interior was so warm, cozy and inviting, very well planned all throughout. The outdoor spaces were so beautiful and quiet and very private. Everything was done very professionally. We also enjoyed exploring the Mointain View community and meeting very talented people at the Park Pickin’. Visiting with the locals was a real blessing to us. We look forward to our next visit!

Relaxing Retreat

We had the best time staying here a couple of nights! It was our first family get away with our 1 year old, and it was the perfect space for all we needed. Great recommendations were left and easy communication with the host. We look forward to another trip!
