Peaceful, private retreat nestled in a quintessential Lancaster County setting

Bedrooms 3
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 1 - 3 nights

About the property

Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5)

Welcome to the Covered Bridge Cottage, a charming getaway nestled in the woods on the bank of the Cocalico Creek. During its colorful past the cottage operated as a prohibition speakeasy and a fisherman's cottage. Today it’s a quaint abode perfect for a romantic getaway or quiet weekend with friends. Marrying the beauty of the past with a simple, modern style, this century-old home includes unique details like wood floors, peaked ceilings and exposed peg and beam construction. We invite you to cozy-up and make yourself comfortable by the gas fireplace in the living room. Or take in the view of the historic Wenger’s Mill Covered Bridge from the sunlit dining porch. Enjoy a relaxing dip in the secluded outdoor hot tub. Sit on the porch swing and listen to the songbirds while admiring the beauty of the surrounding Amish farmland. Or kick up your feet by the creekside fire pit.

Additionally, we encourage you to sample the variety of unforgettable experiences that Lancaster County has to offer. Whether you prefer exploring the rich history of the Amish or the fresh, contemporary vibes of Lancaster City, our area has something for everyone. From delicious eats to endless shopping venues, invigorating hiking trails to art museums, and buggy rides to amusement parks, the opportunities for a memorable trip are endless. We’re located 35 minutes from Hershey, a little over an hour from Philadephia, an hour and a half from Baltimore and Gettysburg, and just over 2 hours from New York City and Atlantic City. Visit for more information on planning your trip.

Amazing peaceful cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful cottage! Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed for our stay. From the kitchen appliances, linens, hot tub and outdoor fire pit; we had a very relaxing and peaceful week. The owners were very nice and responsive to all our questions. Although we had one minor problem with plumbing the owners impressively had someone there in a half hour! (No big deal and fixed fast)

We absolutely fell in love with this cottage and it's location. We will be going back (hopefully in the fall)!!

We had an amazing time! So quaint and inviting. Playing cards in the enclosed porch facing a covered bridge with Amish horse and buggy passing by..Priceless! Accomendations were above and beyond!!! Thank-you for sharing your beautiful property. Did I mention fireflies each evening being the icing on the cake???
