Great little mill house. Very unique. Loved the wood floors and the few special vintage pieces. The beds were very comfortable and it had everything we needed. Close to all the fun. We went tubing on the river and the enjoyed the restaurants close by.
The parking was an issue. There is a lot of road construction going on two of streets adjacent to the property and is very dusty. There were some items that I notified the host about such as a loose electrical wall outlet plate in the first bedroom, the glass front door not remaining closed unless it was locked from the inside, the back patio boards needed resurfacing and staining, some also needed to be better secured, the washer had mold on the rubber ring, the shelf in the washer/dryer closet was dirty, the utensil drawer and some of the utensils were dirty, the bed in the second bedroom middle support was bent, and the diverter in the shower was loose and wasting water when showering. This is a nice property in a good location but definitely needs some maintenance and a walk-through before guests arrives.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention and have noted the maintenance and cleanliness concerns for follow-up. Regarding the parking and road conditions, the city is currently completing the Cayce Avenues Drainage Project, a major stormwater infrastructure overhaul that began in mid-2025 to address long-standing neighborhood flooding. The construction has affected the surrounding streets and created additional dust and parking challenges that are outside of our control. We’re glad you enjoyed the property and its location, and we appreciate the specific feedback, which helps us address items and ensure the home is properly maintained and prepared for future guests.
Great communication with the host. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and there was a generous supply of towels in the bathroom. This is a great location for walking to restaurants and the riverwalk. Highly recommend.
My overall experience was excellent. The beds were nice and comfy. The back porch has enough space to bbq and enjoy it. The only thing that needs improvement is the parking.
My family and I enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect location, in town for my daughter’s graduation at USC. The house has so much character and I love the decorating. The back deck was awesome to have our morning coffee. We were very comfortable and will definitely rent there again. We had a couple minor items that needed to be fixed in the house but they were quick to respond to our requests.

Disliked: Communication, location
Really bad street, had to park on the lawn, no blankets for pull out bed, asked twice over the wknd always said they would get back to me and never did. Pull out bed is for a single short person only. Inside of house needs quite a bit of work.
We had the opportunity to go the The Masters Golf Tournament, but found out within a couple of weeks of the event. When we looked for somewhere near the course to stay, options were extremely limited. So, we expanded our search to West Columbia. This house sounded perfect. Quiet neighborhood, cute place with things to do after the tournament at night. It was a little over an hour away from Augusta, but it was an uncomplicated route. Communicating with Wendy was great. She let us know that they needed to clean a piece of furniture so we should be aware that it might still be damp when we arrived. We appreciated that they took care of it before we got there. Staying in a clean place is really important to us.
The neighborhood is a bit of a mix with some houses tended to and some not so much. It looks like the area is on the verge of a major redevelopment. At night, the area is wonderfully quiet. But there are places within walking distance to check out. We loved to finish our day with food and drink from Savage Craft Ale Works. Great drinks and delicious food in a converted fire and police station.
The house itself is very cute and decorated nicely, but it is on the older side. It is creaky and showing its age, but it is a great place to stay. We had plenty of room and thought it was perfect for our needs. The one weird thing that I told Wendy was that the lights flickered and sometimes temporarily went off and came back on. It was weird and happened throughout our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was located in perfect location we were less than 10 minutes from everything. The fenced in back yard was the perfect size for our kids to run and play. I didn't like that were piece of wood with nails left in the backyard but other than that everything else was great. My kids enjoyed catching frogs and huge slugs that roamed the yard . The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful
We needed somewhere close to the U of SC campus to move our son in and wanted a house rather than a hotel. Hotels available were 15+ minutes away or very expensive. The house was 6 minutes from our son’s residence hall and big enough for 4 of us. The neighborhood is run down and the house is old but for what we needed, that didn’t matter. The house was clean and charming. Perfect for the 3 days we needed it!
Very cozy and comfortable home. Owners are very easy to communicate with as well as accommodating. I had no bad experiences with this property. Arrived to a clean home and check in process was easy. Location was nice with plenty of restaurants and shopping close by. Parks nearby. I could go on and on. Just have nothing negative to say at all. I travel for business and was there for a month. I rent A LOT of properties throughout the year in many different states. Usually can list off a few things that would have made my stays more convenient or accommodating but not with this one. Short of stocking the kitchen with food, the owners had this home with just about everything you could want or need. Very pleased with the property and the owners. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.
Well worth it! Had an amazing experience, we were so comfortable and the host was very communicative. Minutes away from the river and a nice park. Lovely comfy home. Our four day stay could not have been better.
