Absolutely a great place for a weekend getaway. Very clean with comfortable bedding. Would highly recommend and Dawn was amazing with communication and checking in if we needed anything. We will definitely be going back with more of the family next time for a longer stay.

Family had a birthday weekend here! 7 of us, including our energetic little dog, and we never got in each others way. The house and property have sooo much room. Dawn was great at communicating before and during, sent info on surrounding area with everything from stores to fishing charters at least a wk before to help plan if you don’t know the area. House is beyond FULLY stocked just as listing says. We even had a Happy Birthday banner hanging for us! Our weekend was cut short, not due to anyones fault, and Dawn went above and beyond to help us out. Would 100% stay here again

Dawn was very helpful throughout our stay. The property is very private with no neighbors and less than three minutes from Caney lake.Our family had a great time swimming and fishing in the pond.

I can’t say enough about how great our visit was. The host communicated from the moment we booked our stay all the way until we checked out. The property was clean and had everything that you could need and more. We generally travel with several pots and other kitchen items as we cook a lot. After reading all of the items listed in the description we took a chance and left everything behind but our groceries. I was not disappointed! I was able to cook everything that I wanted without having to improvise. It was nice being able to sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet of the property as well. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of towels and blankets. We will definitely be returning. If you’re looking for a nice quiet place to get away and unplug from the world then give this place a try. You will definitely not be disappointed!

Paw paws place was the perfect spot for us to land while PCS'ing from Hawaii to Maryland. We stopped through lousiana for about 6 days to visit with family in the Jonesboro area. The house provided exactly what we needed to be able to unwind from the stress of moving and allowed us to create some fun memories with family. During the trip we had a few minor hiccups, and Dawn was a great host, and was able to help us figure out a solution. Overall, it was a great stay, and we will most likely be booking paw paws place again in the future.

Our family really enjoyed Paw Paw’s place. It was home away from home. Our girls enjoyed their time spent by the pond and our dogs loved exploring. Dawn is the best host and very prompt to answer any questions and offer great suggestions of things to do. Our family definitely be back again.

Great Place

This was the prefect place for us to stay for a fishing tournament. Just minutes away from the landing. Great house with all the amenities and wonderful sitting outdoors and taking in the scenery. Will book here again.

We booked this house last minute. We originally booked another home and planned to stay in a hotel near Monroe to visit family for 2 nights. When we started looking we realized we could get this property for around the same price as a hotel so it was an easy choice. We wish we had known how amazing this place was because if we had we would have split our trip better so that we could have had more nights here. This house has absolutely everything you need to have a great time! We’ve stayed in many homes over the decade we’ve been booking vacation rentals and this was by far the most hospitable of all. The host provides everything you need to stay on property and enjoy your time.From the boats, kayaks, life jackets, indoor and outdoor games, beautiful fire pit with lights around it. Just a stunning place all around. When dusk settles in you can even see fireflies all in the woods. This is a place we would happily book again!

Our family has started making Paw Paw’s place a yearly getaway. Ms Dawn always goes above and beyond to make sure the house is clean and fully stocked. Just about anything you would need is at the house. The furniture updates are nice and comfortable. The property is beautiful and has plenty to do. We enjoy spending most of the day fishing and relaxing by the pond. Our pup also has a fun time walking around the pond and exploring the property. Hoping to make many more memories at Paw Paw’s place.

Peaceful Retreat

The property is beautifully maintained and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing get away. The house is updated with everything you can think of and tastefully decorated. We certainly enjoyed our stay.
