Fantastic place, location and the host

This place was everything we could ask for during our stay at Waterloo. It was cozy and had easy access to the convenience stores. The host has done a marvelous job keeping the place clean and providing supplies like condiments and basic needs. I would 100% recommend this place as your preferred stay in Waterloo.

Peaceful retreat

Unfortunately a bad host

We booked this location because of a house purchase delay. When we tried to extend the stay the host continuously locked the door remotely.

I'm not surprised that you did not mention the truth. Dean first contacted us and wanted to stay from the 7th till 22nd of Oct but said want to do only 1 week at a time then changed to only 3 nights to start and get a feel for the place, which we agreed to, he made the first payment no problem! then was supposed to renew on the 10th we sent a reminder from the 9th for him to do the payment and the new booking through VRBO but he kept on delaying and asking for clarification on taxes and vrbo fees and discounts which we accomodated then he still did not pay!! The 10th went by without him paying for it, on the 11th I nicely requested him to pay as he was overstaying without payment then he started coming up with different excuses once blaming his bank and saying he already paid which never happened! And that he contacted his bank and started a ticket with them to investigate the payment and what not, gave him a chance for the rest of the am till afternoon kept playing games and more excuses the offered to pay outside the platform privately which of course is not acceptable and a red flag for a scam again no payment, we asked finally for him to leave he did not reply and VRBO could not reach him. I was finally advised by VRBO to cancel the preapproval for payment and get the police to help with his removal after he stayed now two nights with no payments .Thankfully the police was helpful however he did not leave until about 6pm so another night was wasted ( we had a guest that wanted to check-in that day ) but of course we lost that booking as Dean did not leave till very late.

Beautiful modern space in Kitchener!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful rental. Modern with all needed amenities, the deck backing onto the ravine was beautiful at sunset! We took the host’s recommendation and spent some time at the Huron nature preserve. Highly recommend if you enjoy outdoors (under 5 minutes from house!) we spent our evenings in, using the fully equipped kitchen to cook our meals , the big screen tv comes with Netflix, prime etc This is a quiet residential area with lots of trees in a prime location in Kitchener. Everything is easily accessible but also you don’t feel like you are in the city. A gem!
