Summary:
Rabbit cottage is located in one of the most sought after streets in Mt Maunganui - close to downtown the Mount and the beach yet on a peaceful street. This character cottage is cosy and cute yet offers plenty of room for 2 families. The beach is just a stones throw away across the road where you can also send the kids to the playground.

The Space:
The cottage offers 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The dining/ kitchen and lounge are all open plan and open up to a large elevated deck perfect for enjoying the afternoon sun and a BBQ at the end of the day. Fully fenced, the kids will enjoy the large front yard to run around on or send them across the road to the playground. You will also appreciate there is plenty of parking for cars and boats. A short stroll away in one direction will land you at the beach or in the other downtown Mt Maunganui or Pilot Bay - It's all there!

Ideally suited to 6 adults not 8 as two of the single beds are foldaway.



Other Things to Note:
Ideally suitable for age 5 and up as there are gaps on both sides of the house where younger children could potentially fall. Toddlers will need to be supervised.

Super cute and close to the beach

Perfect for our weekend away with family. Loved the location, less than a minute to walk to the beach and walking distance to the mount shops. Clean, functional and cozy vibes.

apart from the location being excellent (close to beach & restaurants) - the property had great rooms & bathrooms. Large deck out the front was used more than living room (where the seating needs updating).overall the property was excellent though.

A fantastic location in an awesome spot

A great little property in an truely awesome location. This house has all you need to have a brilliant holiday - the two bathrooms were great with the kids and the kitchen has to be seen to be believed! A great spot - we will be back here again!

Rabbit Cottage

A charming cottage, generous in size, with everything you need, perfect for a family. Great location to beach and town. Easy parking and a handy playground across the road with a short walkthrough to the beach.

We had a wonderful stay in Mount Maunganui. The location of the property was fantastic for walking to the beach, walking around the Mount and for shopping / eating out. The property was very clean and the perfect size for our family.

Retro bach

Really nice central position with no noise. Uninsulated so can be cold, but good gas heater in lounge and 2 bedrooms have panel heaters. Enjoyed our stay.

Bach Life at it's Best

This bach is located in a great spot. The kids loved the park across the street and the access to both the beach and the town was so convenient. We could walk to the beach in 2 mins or to town for coffee or lunch within 5 mins. This is a quintessential kiwi bach and worked great for our family. The property manager was responsive and helpful and made our stay easy and carefree. Would rent again.

Great location

Great summer house but might have second thoughts visiting in winter. Homely property with all the amenities that a family would need. Although, needs a bit of investment e.g. replace worn couch, unsafe deck in parts which also needs a clean, and dripping cistern in the ensuite. Finally, not the property's fault but a rowdy rental next door kept us awake during the night for the last 2 nights.

Mount Manganui break

Old school bach that has had something of a makeover. Great location - easy walk to beach, downtown Mount - shops, bars, restaurants. Small park across the road for kiddies was a bonus. Very clean on arrival but some basic maintenance needed - light bulbs, dripping toilet and blocked basin in en-suite - not majors but were in need of attention. Kitchen very well set up - lots of utensils if you are eating in, tea/coffee, oils and condiments provided. Would have been nice if the lawn had been mowed and garden had some tlc. We enjoyed our stay at the Mount

Terrible experience

The yard was not mowed and the deck a bit dated. Unfortunately we were unable to stay as both my elderly parents had reactions to something in the house once we arrived which worsened over the next 40 minutes causing them to have coughing fits. Both my parents have breathing issues and their medical conditions were too severely impacted. I wouldn't recommend this place for elderly persons or children.

Stunning and styly.

This is a fantastic property for our family, and the property manager did an excellent job of communicating. The location-being close to the beach and close to amenities, including a short Walk to restaurants, was perfect. I really enjoyed the architecture and the way I traditional bach had been Completely renewed. Highly recommended.

Wonderful retreat

House is meticulously clean, location and parking great, perfect family space. Slate blinds needs some attention as not working well. Comfortable beds and lovely to have the basics like tea, coffee and body wash. Well impressed by the quiet road and neighbourhood.
