Within 30 minutes of arriving at this property we spotted rats in the garden, they were coming from under the decking and patio area. There were overflowing bins outside, rats among these.There were numerous rat burrows in the garden and the rats were present throughout our stay, All 9 of of party members saw them regularly throughout our stay. The owner came within 12 hours to remove the bins. He put poison down but there is a major colony living in the garden and it needs professional extermination. The decking area was dilapidated and is not true to the photos. The garden sofa was covered in bird poo, the owner addressed the mucky sofa within 12 hours. There were mouse droppings in the cutlery drawer. The owner put poison down and cleaned within 12 hours.The bedroom cabinets were missing handles and half the drawers in the property in the main house were not uaseable. The owner blamed us but they were broken before our arrival.The property does have a beautiful outdoor space, less the decking area but it was overshadowed by rats.There was no 'welcome pack'.. e.g. Milk, bread etc.. or introduction to the property. Or information about the local area, small touches go along way.The bathroom was half decorated and was missing the cover to the light.When the host came he was very nice and friendly and helpful but the rat problem wasn't going to ho away over the duration of our trip.We did complain to Vrbo they refunded our service charge. Property needs loving

Bonjour Andrea. Tout d abord merci d avoir laissé un commentaire qu il soit bon ou mauvais. Je me permet juste de vous répondre et d informer les prochains locataires. Vous avez vu 1 rat des champs durant votre séjour. On est loin de l invasion de rats comme vous le précisez 😉. Il y avait 2 petites fientes d oiseau sur un coussin ( désoler pour cela mais il y a des oiseaux dans le ciel 😁 qui peuvent en effet voler au dessus de notre maison et entre le temps où nous faisons le ménage et le moment où vous arrivez cela peut arrivé. Je pense que vous attendez un service d hôtellerie haut de gamme mais pour cela il faut réserver un bonne hôtel et non allez chez l habitant. Nous mettons à disposition des chaumières donc nous ne faisons pas les lits tout les matins, ni le petit déjeuner…. Nous avons de bons commentaires sur toutes les plateformes avec lesquelles nous collaborons. Concernant votre séjour vous êtes quand même resté toute la durée malgré tout cela 😉. Vous nous avez laissé les maisons sales et pas rangées. Traces de sang sur les draps et les couettes bref !!! Mauvais expérience avec cette personne nous ne la conseillons pas aux prochains hôtes. Nous aurions dut faire attention car elle était nouvelle sur la plate-forme. Bonne continuation

Un bon moment en Normandie

Je remercie Steve pour nos échanges et la facilité d’accès et de service de la maison. Nous avons beaucoup aimé l’espace extérieur.La maison est globalement fonctionnel, nous aurions cependant aimé un meilleure entretien de l’extérieur.Je peux vous suggérer, de compléter la vaisselle avec des verres à bière et à vin. Je pense aussi qu’il est temps de changer le barbecue.Pour le reste pas de problème.

Séjour agréable mais quelques inconvénients

Notre séjour à eu lieu en hiver. Côté négatif : - Les chambres sont en enfilade, aucune n'est fermée (séparées par un rideau). - Entre les 2 maisons, passages (très fréquents) dans la boue obligatoire. Pas d'aménagement non salissant. - Un peu trop serrés côté canapés et autour de la table pour manger (12 convives). - Des verres à vin et à champagne seraient un plus dans les moments festifs. Il manque aussi des ustensiles de cuisine. Côté positif : - Le cadre est très beau, très typique de la Normandie. - Les salles de bains modernes et pratiques. - Belle décoration. - Le jacuzzi très agréable. - La cheminée. Globalement nous sommes content de notre séjour.
