About this property

“Welcome to Holland” our cozy cottage in Cape Breton.

Welcome to “Holland” - Our quaint, cozy, cottage on the ocean - that is actually in Cape Breton!

Our names are Lisa and AJ. I grew up on this beautiful island (just down the road) and AJ is from another lovely province, Alberta. We have two children who love Cape Breton as much, if not more, than we do!

We hope you enjoy this place as much as we do and that you get to enjoy some peace and quiet, long walks on the beach and that fresh Cape Breton air.

There are three bedrooms in the home and all bedrooms have a view of the ocean.

1st bedroom has a double bed.
2nd bedroom has a 3/4 double bed (smaller than a typical double bed).
3rd bedroom has two twin beds. One mattress is extra soft, one is extra firm.
The living room has a pull out couch.

There are also two full bathrooms and a washer and dryer available to use.

A fire pit is available for use, if requested, during the spring, summer and fall months.

There is also a heat pump in the home.

Beautiful cottage on the river

What a stunning property near River Bourgeouis this was. Lisa was so easy to communicate with and she has kept an impeccable home. This was just the perfect way to unwind and see all of Cape breton. We loved every minute here and hope to be back in the near future.

The property is an amazing little peninsula with water/bay views (and access) from 3 sides of the house. You can watch the sunrise in the east towards the open water, otters and birds in the water out back, and the sunset to the west. The otter was usually there as the tide was coming in. The house is at the beginning of a no exit road where every house is on the water. Occasional cars but it was quiet. Safe for a walk or bike ride. For an old home, the ceilings are high on the first floor so it feels bright and open. The house was clean. The linens were crisp. The kitchen had everything you’d need to make a meal. (Coffee fans - both a drip coffee pot with filters and a kuerig), The bathrooms had supplies too. The house was comfortable. The owners were very responsive to communications. We’d like to come back again soon.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und haben die Zeit in dem schönen mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestatteten Haus im viktorianischen Stil genossen, besonders das Frühstück und Abendessen am großen Tisch mit traumhaften Blick auf das Wasser!Traumhafte Lage auf einer kleinen privaten Halbinsel. Alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden und stand zur freien Benutzung. Die Beschreibung entsprach voll der Ausschreibung.Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war excellent. Wir sagen Dankeschön und auf Wiedersehen!
