Spacious Paihia Dark Sky Retreat with Spa Pool and Fireplace
Escape to a spacious, serene retreat, perfect for families and groups. Nestled among landscaped gardens, this home boasts elevated views in an ideal setting for alfresco dining, social gatherings or relaxing in nature.
Fire up the BBQ on the large deck, soak in the spa pool under the stars & embrace the tranquility of your surroundings after exploring the stunning Bay of Islands. Just a 4-min drive to Paihia, experience the perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and coastal adventure!
THE SPACE:
The property is a sunny, spacious house set on expansive grounds just four minutes’ drive from Paihia. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, with plenty of space for families or larger groups (1 x King bed, 4 x Queen beds, 1 x portacot). Surrounded by native trees and set back from the street, the house provides peace, quiet and privacy while still being super convenient to Paihia, Waitangi and Haruru Falls.

🍽️ Large, renovated kitchen with 90cm oven, gas cooktop and plenty of appliances (Nespresso machine, blender, microwave…).
🌄 Peaceful, private garden setting in quiet neighbourhood.
🛁 Two spacious modern bathrooms with high-pressure showers and bathtub plus a separate 3rd toilet.
👚 Laundry room with large washer and super-efficient heatpump dryer.
🛋️ Comfortable, contemporary living area with 55” Smart TV and Netflix provided
🔥 Wood fire to keep the place cosy in winter
GUEST ACCESS:
Check-in is fast and easy using our smart lock. You will have the entire property to yourself – there are no hosts on-site and no spaces shared with anyone other than the people in your group.
Guest access is the whole property, including private 5-bedroom home and spacious 2,306 sqm section.
There is free off-street parking available with space for two vehicles to park on the sealed driveway area outside the house. If you will be bringing more than 2 cars, please contact us for parking advice. Please do not park on the woodchip area as there is delicate pipework underground here that would be damaged by the weight of a vehicle.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
POOL/SPA/BBQ:
Guests are welcome to use the spa, pool and BBQ but please be considerate. There are guidelines for spa and pool use at the house - please follow these to help keep them clean and please clean the BBQ after use (coals can be put in the rubbish once cooled and the BBQ can be wiped down or the grills washed in the sink; please don’t use the garden hose). If the spa, pool or BBQ are left dirty, an extra cleaning fee (minimum $50 for BBQ or pool, $200 for spa) will apply.
The pool is not heated so is unavailable during the winter months (1st June - 1st November) as it's just too cold. The spa is available all year round and there are beautiful beaches nearby for those brave enough to tackle a midwinter plunge!
SECURITY:
We have a motion-activated security camera on each of the entrances, one in the garden and one on the parking area for our guests' peace of mind. Cameras are not monitored but recordings can be retrieved if needed. There are no cameras inside the house.
ANIMALS:
Unfortunately, due to host allergies we are unable to accommodate any pets (including assistance animals). Due to welfare concerns we also cannot permit animals to be left in vehicle, so if you do need to bring furry friends with you, please look for a pet-friendly property instead.
* If this rule is broken and any pets are brought to the property a minimum $200 fee will be charged*
SEPTIC:
The house is on a private septic system so it is important that nothing is flushed other than toilet paper as anything else (eg. sanitary products, wipes, etc) will cause blockages, which may require emergency plumbers to be called!
