Welcome to The Sunshine House! Named perfectly by our 7-year-old beacause of its true characteristics - it is light, spacious and sunny all day long! Lush palm trees and native planting surround this property & the elevated vista is an instant holiday vibe!

The perfect accommodation for a large family or two whole families that want a holiday together! The Sunshine House can sleep 17 with the beds that are set up. Plus 3 infants in the cots that are here. Bring Grandma and Grandpa, the extended family and friends! This house beautifully accomodates large groups wanting to enjoy the best the Bay of Islands has to offer.

Essentially two houses in one that work autonomously from each other; the upstairs has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a well-equipped large kitchen flowing into an open-plan dining and inviting lounge with views of the sea out over historic Russell village.
Enjoy the luxury of two bathrooms upstairs, one that has a bath and one that has a shower and is fitted with a washer and dryer.
The Master bedroom has a super king bed and views out onto the wraparound deck. The Sunshine room is the first to get the sun's rays in the morning and has two king singles. They can be separated or joined to make a California King size bed. The third room - 'Nautical room' - has a queen bed and a foldup wooden cot for baby or toddler.

Enjoy the flat, sheltered courtyard with native plants & birdlife just outside the upstairs kitchen. With a webber bbq, a raised bed garden for your fresh herbs and a wrap-around deck with plenty of spots for outdoor dining...you'll enjoy outdoor dining throughout your stay.

The downstairs is a calm space with three bedrooms and its own porch in the shade and views of the sea.
Fitted with a basic kitchenette - including two fridges - it can be used to create tasty meals in-between beach outings!

The spacious Rumpus room/Media room can sleep 5 with a king bed & a set of bunks with a trundler bed. Perfect for cousins and friends to bunk down in! This large room can also be used for a movie afternoon on a rainy day or a family movie at night using the 65inch wall-mounted screen and an array of DVDs to choose from.
The Coral Room has a queen bed and the Green Room also has a queen bed. A portacot, complete with bedding is folded downstairs ready to be set up in your chosen room.
The large living room downstairs also has a day bed with a trundler bed underneath.
A spacious bathroom complete with towels & washer + dryer means you can easily have fresh washing during your stay.

This home has been tailored to suit families with young children and has a selection of toys, puzzles, books, colouring pencils and games, both upstairs and down. There is a pram in the lean-to for easy travelling while you're out and about with a toddler or baby. Also a potty and a travel high-chair.

We supply all linen except beach towels. Bath towels must not be taken to the beach please.

The Sunshine House is our young family's first home which we greatly cherish, so please, absolutely no loud partying whatsoever! In Kiwi tradition you are expected to leave the place tidy, put dishes in the dishwasher and leave rubbish in the bins provided.
There is space for four off-street parks, or one boat and three cars.
