About this property

Appalachian High-Country Retreat - Pet Friendly Countryside Escape

Escape to the heart of Victoria’s High Country and experience mountain living at its finest. Inspired by the legendary Appalachian Mountains of North America, this handcrafted log home blends rustic charm with timeless comfort — a retreat where tradition, warmth, and the natural beauty of the Victorian High Country come together.

Set on 7 peaceful acres of rolling hills and towering gums, the property invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature. Resident kookaburras greet the morning with their cheerful calls, and kangaroos often graze at dusk on the front lawn — adding a magical Australian touch to your mountain escape.

Perfect for families, couples, or a group of friends, the home sleeps up to 9 guests across 4 well-appointed bedrooms. Inside, you’ll find the comforting glow of a Euro woodfire heater, ideal for cozy winter nights. Outside, three fire pits offer perfect spots for stargazing and storytelling under the stars. The expansive outdoor entertaining area features a bar, BBQ, and alfresco dining space — perfect for long summer evenings surrounded by the sounds of the bush.

Just 2km from the nearest boat ramp, this retreat is ideal for guests bringing a boat or jet ski to explore the sparkling waters of Lake Eildon. With Mount Buller also within easy reach, this Appalachian-inspired escape offers the best of both summer adventure and winter wonder.
