The house is big and was very clean. We could have done with matching glasses and silverware. We had a family celebration and it was a shame things didn’t match. The house needs a few rugs to warm it up. Some extra towels would have been nice. The ladies in the group complained about that, maybe two bath towels. The property is on a hard standing and there is a sharp drop from the edge so not ideal for young kids. The picnic table out front is fixed to the ground so couldn’t be moved to follow the evening sun, which meant eating out or having a drink before dinner wasn’t possible. That may read like lot of moans but for the price we paid it was excellent value. Just acre things would make it seem homely.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased you found the house spacious, clean and excellent value. For clarity, silverware matches, while the wine glasses are mixed because matching glasses are frequently broken and replaced. We appreciate the suggestion about more rugs, but the radiant heating limits how many we can use. The picnic tables are not fixed and can be moved. We will also take your comments about providing additional towels on board. Thank you for staying with us.

Spectacular In Many Ways

We were shocked when we arrived, never expecting how nice this home would be. It is spacious and beautiful with an incredible view and is tucked away but close enough to the town center. It was a great home base for exploring all of county Donegal. We really enjoyed it!

This is a wonderful house with amazing views. It has plenty of space for larger families. It is clean and new. The kitchen has the essentials if you want to stay and cook at home, or you can make the short drive to Killybegs where the pub food is outstanding.

Spacious Oasis with Spectacular Views

We spent the first of two weeks at this stunning property. Every morning the view was different with a location very close to Killybegs. We loved the ability to explore all of the coastal Donegal County points of interest, with a short drive from this stunning home. Our host responded quickly to our texts, the home was exactly as listed/photographed. 5stars, we would absolutely recommend and stay again!

The home is lovely, and exceptionally clean. It has beautiful ocean views and is very peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped, and the house is only a short drive to town if you would like to go out for a meal.I was travelling with an elderly relative, and having a bedroom, the kitchen, a bathroom and the lounge on the one floor was especially helpful. The owner was very responsive to any questions or requests, and was very welcoming to her home. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had the pleasure of staying here for a week while visiting the Killybegs area. The house is spectacular! View is stunning and the area is so peaceful. Annemarie is wonderful - quick to respond and clear with all communication, helpful information in the welcome booklet as well as notes here and there for how everything works. The kitchen is well equipped and every room is beautifully decorated, cozy and comfortable. Excellent pressure in the showers - nice after exploring all day. The location is perfect - 7 minutes from the main town and only about 15 minutes to the SuperValu for groceries, gas, etc. Annemarie has a list of sights noted in the booklet and I think we hit all of them - nothing is too far a drive and the scenery is stunning. If you golf, she has you covered there as well with plenty information. Don’t miss a chance to stay here - we hope to be able to visit again in the future.

The place was lovely, We stayed with family of 7 from Canada 2 of which were over 90 years old. The property is listed as one floor level, and for those with mobility restrictions. However, the main living spaces are sunken with two steps the length of the space. There is no railings or indications of the steps. One of the Mom's did fall and was bruised for the rest of our trip. There is a accessibility ramp outside. 2 fireplaces but no wood which would be an asset.Overall it is a very beautiful place to stay

Beautiful home in smalling fishing town for relaxing and using as home base

When we pulled into the drive and walked into the house, my 20 yo son and 80 yo mother both at the same time exclaimed, "WOW!!!!" the house is big, roomy, well-designed for a large group to be able to spend time together but also have our own space. And the views are to die for. My older parents spent much time every morning and evening just sitting in the dining room looking out at the bay and the boats going out to fish. From the bed in the master bedroom, you literally see out to the sea. We lit the woodstove with peat most nights, cooked several evenings, and I thoroughly enjoyed the big soaking jacuzzi tub after long days of walking and hiking. The town is small but has a few very nice restaurants, an amazing butcher shop (it's so much more), some great cafes and bakeries, a wonderful artists cooperative. The views are incredible and the location was quite convenient for Slieve League, Donegal Town, Letterkenny / Fanad Lighthouse, Glencolumncille, all of which we really enjoyed. The owner was very helpful when we were booking, and the local property manager stopped by to check on us, and her husband came back to bring us peat when my father mentioned wanting to light the fire. We would happily come back!
