About this property
Whispering Moose located for great hikes, Missoula breweries and coffee shops.
•• Cleaned and sanitized after each guest’s stay to ensure maximum protection and safety.
This cozy 2-bedroom cabin is located off the pristine Lewis and Clark Trail (US HWY 12 W). There is multiple access points for the Lolo National Forest for hikes and ATV fun! There are lakes and lookout towers, hot springs and trails closeby.
The 2013 Forest Fires impacted the mountains around it for a short distance. There are still beautiful mountain views. You are able to see the affects fires and the environmental impact. Much of Lolo Peak, Lolo Creek and close mountains were untouched by the fire, grazing elk, deer and moose. Outstanding ATV access, hunting, fishing, snow shoeing, snow mobiling, ,skiing, hiking, biking, soak or swim at nearby hot springs. The night stars are gorgeous from the hot tub during clear nights.
You may also enjoy Missoula's many coffee houses, breweries, distilleries and restaurants or seasonal activities that are yours within a short driving distance. You will enjoy a memorable stay in this charming cabin.
This area is outstanding for outdoor activities as well as activities in the city of Missoula or a drive down the Bitterroot. The cabin is quite nice with a nice living room area which includes satellite tv and wifi, 2 bedrooms with queen log beds, a nice kitchen and a quiet outdoor deck. A great place to come and relax and venture toward the plethora of sights to see, fish or hunt.
(There is another unique charming cabin on the property as well. Check out the Eagle’s Nest which is available May-September.)

Thank you for a cozy stay, it would be nice if the privacy fence went from the cabin all the way around the supposed secluded cabin. It was nice but not nearly as private as it was insinuated.

It wasn’t advertised as secluded. If that is your desire for future rentals you may want to be sure to ask. Thank you for your business and best to you and yours.
The photos correctly display the property, and the hosts are welcoming and friendly! The location was just gorgeous—heaven on earth. Sipping coffee on the deck was utter peace. The convenience of a fenced yard for our dog was a special bonus! Thank you!
The house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable, charming and had everything we needed. Ron and Jan let us have our space but were open to have a couple nice conversations about the area. They were wonderful hosts. We went to "Jacks" a cabin in the woods for dinner. A big log building you need to see for yourself. Toured the Daly mansion in Hamilton, hiked the Bear Creek trail and moreGiven the opportunity, we would definitely choose to stay there again.
Great location. For some piece and quiet. Host couple couldn't have been more accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. Large fenced yard around the cabin covered with green grass grass
Very clean and cozy property. Check in and check out was a breeze and the hot tub was wonderful! Great recommendations from the owners on places to eat and things to do
The place was the perfect combination of rustic and quaint for us, with so many offerings for hiking, great food and drink options nearby! Jan was an outstanding host and most definitely the most clean and homey VRBO we've ever stayed. We can't wait to come again!

Cozy cabin in great location
My husband and I stayed at the cabin for 4 nights and loved it. Very cozy and well-equipped. The location is great - close to both town and national forest, very peaceful and quiet. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Thank you so much. It was a pleasure to meet you. Come again!!!
This is such a cute and cozy cabin. A beautiful property! We stayed for a long weekend. It was only 15 miles from Lolo Hot Springs. It had everything we needed. We loved it, and will definitely stay here again.
Great cabin, clean, having a fenced yard to allow the dog to go out without having a leash was a huge plus. Hosts were very friendly. Very quiet and peaceful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cute, clean and relaxing cabin. We had a few family events to attend in Missoula but wanted to stay in the outskirts of town so the location in Lolo was perfect for us. Ron and Jan are super friendly and welcoming hosts and we could not have been happier during out stay and look forward to returning some day!
