Total privacy and relaxation in a secluded 3 bed/ 2 bath house on 5 acres.

The house offers total privacy and relaxation on 5 private acres. Behind the property there are additional 300 acres of woods suitable for walking, hiking and even dirt bike riding.
Access to the house is via 1200 feet long private driveway which takes you to the top of the mountain and the middle of the forest. The closest house is only visible in the winter and is 350 yards away. This is a perfect place to escape the civilization.
The town of Hackettstown offers surprisingly variety of restaurants: Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and an award winning "James on Main" restaurant opened by a famous San Francisco chef who grew up locally and decided to return to his roots.
There are also 3 local breweries in town, right on Main street.
The house is located and hour from Manhattan, 30 minutes from the Delaware Water Gap (think kayaking and hiking) and 45 minutes from the ski and water park areas in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

There is a full house generator that comes on automatically in case of a power loss.

House was very clean, which makes any stay perfect!! The host communicated with us prior and during, which was nice. Some updates could be made to the Master Bath and advertised office and exercise areas -- but as long as everything was clean, I'm happy! We appreciate that our two little dogs could stay with us. I would definitely stay there again!

Beautifully Private

The host Marc will make every effort to assure your stay exceeds your expectations. The home was exactly as pictured and described, making our family holiday-stay easy to plan. The area adds to the charm. We enjoyed Long Valley Brewery and Christmas with the Clydesdale at Willow Grove Farm, and would recommend both.

Wonderfully secluded

Stayed at this house for three nights with two friends (all three of us in our 40s) and had an excellent time. Everything is as described, very clean and easy to access. Marc was very communicative and a wonderful host. Also very close to the city, but felt like we were hundreds of miles away. Recommended in all aspects!

Private weekend retreat

My old roommates and I always have a yearly retreat to get away from work and family and this place was more than perfect. If u want to get away in a beautiful and private home. This is the place. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. If ur looking to get away from the noise and husle and bustle of everyday life this place will do it. The house was larger than expected and extremely comfortable. I will recommend this place to all my family and friends. The nature and seclusion is priceless. I would definitely book this rental again.

Had a funeral in town and family stayed altogether. Plenty of room and private location. Even had a game of whiffle ball. Not far from downtown.

Nice and clean

I was very happy with the property. The house was exceptionally clean and the grounds were nice. There were little touches like coffee, tea, etc. The check in was exceptionally easy. I would recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great home for our family! Host Marc is wonderful!

Our family needed a place to stay short term as our daughter, son-in-law and 2 granddaughters move to New Jersey and waiting to move into a new home, which fell through on our 2nd day here. This home was a perfect respite for us during this challenging time. There were tons of toys age appropriate for our 4 yo and 6 yo grand-daughters, there was plenty of space for the kid's dog to roam around and the whole house was a perfect fit for us! We asked to stay longer due to the situation but unfortunately it was already booked. Marc was an amazing host, even calling his neighbors and folks he knew to see if any of them had availability to rent to our kids for the next month as they search for a house. He went above and beyond what I would expect from any host. Marc is a great person and great communicator. Anytime I had a question I would text him and he would respond immediately. We found a 2nd home to move to move to and Marc accommodated us with a little later check out time. We were very comfortable there and would highly recommend it.

Great property and location

This property felt like our own home for a week. We were 2 families and were very comfortable living, sleeping, cooking, relaxing, etc. for our vacation. Very close to center of Hackettstown and convenient to all in this quaint town.

Perfect fit

We are a group of friends that train dogs and compete together. We where I’m town for a National competition. Marc’s House was in the perfect location, it was so nice to be able to let our dogs stretch out. We only cooked one meal there but the kitchen was adequately outfitted. The beds are very comfortable, as well as the rest of the house.

Well cared for.

We enjoyed staying at this property. It was quiet, very private, very clean and well stocked with necessary items. The driveway is quite steep, but that is just the way it is in this location. The owner was very kind and extremely helpful. I would recommend this one to friends.
