Glenn arrived two days early, on 11/03, which I accomodated. I did not hear that the forced air heater did not work until late in the morning on 11/10, one week after his arrival, so his claim that 17 days of his stay had no heat is completely incorrect, and I can verify that with his text communication. I immediately contacted the service company that I pay monthly to resolve any HVAC problems. They arrived within the first 24 hours to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, the repair was not properly diagnosed or repaired immediately. To make certain that Mr Kraemer was comfortable, I shifted a space heater to the bedroom on 11/10 and bought another space heater for the living room / kitchen area on 11/13 and I have a copy of that purchase receipt. However, Mr. Kraemer refused to allow me to place the space heater in my unit's living room, and said that he simply wanted to be left alone and denied me access. He states that the repair company missed several appointments which is simply not true. My wife and I took care of all scheduled meetings, and simply informed Mr Kraemer of when they would occur. Not once did Mr Kraemer have to reschedule any of his activities, as I personally met the mechanical company on every occassion that they were supposed to be there. It became apparent, a few days into this issue, that Mr Kraemer was more interested in having his wife(ex) who is an attorney, get him a refund rather than simply accepting the mechanical company was doing the best that they could, especially in light of the fact that he had refused to allow me to place an additional space heater in my unit on 11/13, only three days after the mechanical failure of the heating unit. He also said, on a number of occassions, while leaving the keys in the mechanical room for the repair company, that his golf clubs and valuables would be out of the residence, and that if the service company personnel wanted to steal anything else in my residence, that would be fine with him. In over a year of renting this space to a number of different guests, I have never had such a difficult guest. No matter how much I tried to make him happy, it was apparent that nothing that I could do would satisfy him.
