INQUIRE ON AVAILABILITY OF BLOCKED DATES . . .
This cute 400 sf cottage was renovated in 2020/2021. (Not rented in 2022) It offers a very quaint, peaceful and cozy feel with a little quirkiness thrown in!
Only a two minute drive or easy five to ten minute walk will find you on the public beach of Lake Pepin with amazing views. A boat ramp is also available for $5.00 payable to the Village. Bring your boat as the views of the bluffs and fishing can be pretty great!! NOTE .. due to low water levels, water activities are on hold.
Complimentary bikes and kayaks are included with your rental. Kayak the backwaters of the bay and enjoyn the wildlife including many eagles!
Adjacent to the property you will find plenty of green space to play provided yard games, have a picnic or a game of basketball. A picnic table and gas grill is provided as well. A block down the road is home to the Bay City Bombers men's baseball team. http://baycitybombers.teams.mnbaseball.org/schedule
Down the street is a brand new child-friendly outdoor park and basketball court overlooking the bay.
Within walking distance you will find the award winning Chef Shack, gas station, a new Dollar General and coffee shop, sports bars, antique and thrift stores.
A must while in the area is a drive on the Great River Road (35). Check out the wineries, bakeries, dining, boutiques and unique shopping. Explore local history at landmarks and museums. The views as you drive along the Mississippi River are breathtaking. Several books on area history are available at the cottage for you to enjoy during your stay.
The beautiful and historic town of Red Wing, just ten minutes away, offers plenty of shopping, dining, bike and walking trails. Also within approximately a half an hour is the Treasure Island Resort and Casino, many golf courses, and Welch Village Ski.
Relax at the end of the day on the beach and watch an amazing sunset, barbecue with the provided gas grill or enjoy a bonfire in the provided outdoor fire pit. A starter supply of wood also provided.
The cottage has one bedroom with a full size bed and in the living room, a sectional with a full size pullout bed. Both beds are new and very comfortable! Snuggle up and enjoy the rumble of the occasional train. Note that they do toot their horn as they approach the Village.
Also provided with your stay is a first morning continental breakfast and daily Keurig coffee and water!
Dish Network is provided with many channels available (Living Room) along with a DVD player and lots of movies and CDs. (Bedroom) Wi-Fi also included.
Note that although this property does not allow pets, we do on occasion have family members with a dog stay at the property. We take great care in diligently cleaning after such visits but pet dander may possibly remain.
For any additional questions or information, feel free to message and we will respond at our earliest convenience. Note that some "blocked" dates may be available for extended stays. Just ask!OUR COTTAGE HAS BEEN INSPECTED FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY AND IS LICENSED BY PIERCE COUNTY, WI.

About the host
Hosted by Lonna
My husband is from Red Wing, Minnesota, just across the river and myself from "The Iron Range" in Northern Minnesota. We have three grown children and three grandchildren. Our hobbies include traveling, camping, fishing, hunting, boating, biking, and basically anything that has to do with the great outdoors. I am an avid thrift shopper and enjoy the adrenaline rush of that special treasure. My husband gets that same rush when he sees a big buck!
Why they chose this property
We love this area of Wisconsin and so when this "tired" piece of property came up for sale, we decided to take on the challenge of renovating and bringing it back to life. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did fixing it up!
What makes this property unique
This little cottage has so many unique things about it. The large green area of privacy, the ability to walk to sports bars and the amazing Chef Shack and antique and thrift stores. And the beach, only a one minute drive, which offers some of the most spectacular sunrise and sunsets. The view never gets old!
