My husband, me and our 2 dogs truly enjoyed our stay at The Craft House. Staff was amazing, cabin was clean and extremely cozy, and the views while hiking was breathtakingly beautiful. I highly recommend this cabin and definitely will return again.

What a great get away spot. The cabin was immaculate and homey. The host made sure there was lots of firewood to build a cozy fire and the kitchen had everything I needed. Dog friendly with trails and fields for playing fetch. I will be booking again.
Nice cottage and location. Not rave-worthy but nice.
Nice simple comfortable cottage with a slightly unappealing smell. Pretty sure the listing said there was a grill so we catered for that - no grill. Might explain the smell - everything has to be cooked indoors. Also thought a hot tub was advertised but maybe not. Comfortable beds.Good shower. Good wifi. Well equiped kitchen. Great fireplace and an outdoor firepit.

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. We will get that can opener replaced. Hope to see you again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to review our camp.
Great property. Be aware that there is a sprial staircase to the upstairs bedroom loft that could be hard for some older individuals. Overall had a great stay. Len
Very clean, comfy beds, well kept cabin. The only reason for four stars instead of 5 is that the "lake" is a pond and the pool looked pretty gross. We were planning on kayaking/swimming during our time there but once we saw both the options decided against it.

Hi Anastasia,
Thank you for staying with us over the weekend. So glad everything was well with the cabin, our cleaning personal work hard, doing an amazing Job keeping a high standard for our guest. Concerning the lake, though not a massive water feature, it does cover some ground with its 4+ acres. Along with several off shooting branches that gives it a sense of adventure and manageability, we feel that it is a good size for our function with the groups that we see coming through the property. The pool is still being treated and prepared for our opening, coming soon, as the pool is being filled it does tend to gain coloration as the water level fills we treat it with additives to get it to that perfectly clear summer pool appearance. Thanks so much again for staying with us and we would love to have you back in the future.
My family and I stayed at The Craft House for a long weekend in October 2024 and explored the parks in Hocking Hills. We enjoyed the simple and quiet atmosphere of Geneva Hills. There were many other occupants at Geneva Hills at the time of our stay but it seemed like we were the only ones there. The grounds were well kept with many walking paths and scenery to enjoy while at Geneva Hills, and Hocking Hills State Park was a short 30-40 minute drive away.
The Craft House was clean, well kept, and provided everything our family needed for a comfortable weekend in the woods. Check in and check out were simple with the help of our host. We enjoyed our time very much and will be visiting again in the future! Thank you!

Overpriced cabin
Overpriced for what this was. The cabin was very dirty and smells like mold. Is in need of good cleaning and updating. No light above bathroom mirror, towels and whole place smells like mold. I would not recommend this cabin.
The cabin was larger than we expected, yet was still very cozy. We loved unwinding in front of the fireplace after a long day hiking the Hocking Hills trails. The only issue we had was the firewood provided was not seasoned enough to burn well so we bought some to burn with it, and we were able to enjoy a fire every night. We also ran out of propane in the middle of grilling steaks at 8:30 pm, but we called Spencer and 30 minutes later, the president of the board delivered a new tank. That was impressive! This cabin is secluded enough for privacy, but just a short drive to the many trails in the area. We would definitely recommend staying here, and we are looking forward to staying here again!

thank you Lisa for your Review, sorry about the firewood mishap, we had a miscommunication between team members on what was seasoned wood and what was freshly cut. we have since labeled and made the clear distinction on what is meant for guest and what is meant to be left to dry out, Again we are so happy you enjoyed your stay and we would love to have you back at any time!
Our family really enjoyed our stay. This is a hidden gem. The cabin is tucked into the property and we often felt like we were the only ones on the 350 acres. There was a women's retreat that took place in the lodge next to our cabin for 2 of the days we were there and we didn't even notice them. Yes, the lake is small, but it is picturesque and well stocked. We caught fish every day that we were there. It is strictly catch and release. There are hiking trails right out the front door. All of the trails were well maintained and clearly marked. It was so quiet and peaceful. Most cabins in the Hocking Hills area, you need to drive to the hiking trails or to fish, but this location offers it all at your doorstep. The cabin was clean, furnished well and offered firewood ready for our use. We cooked most of our meals in the cabin and the kitchen had most of what we needed. I would recommend bringing your own cutting board and a sharp chef's knife. We also brough our own crockpot for easy meals. We also brought our own folding chairs for lounging on the wrap around porch. Not pictured in the advertisement is a bed on the main floor and a couple of Adirondak chairs around the fire pit. Both of these we were grateful for. During our stay the property hosted their Firelight Friday event and our whole family really enjoyed all of the activities. The human foosball game was epic. The host and everyone involved with maintaining the property were friendly and helpful.
We needed a change of scenery for remote working and feel lucky that we found this place! The cabin was very clean and comfortable but what we needed most was a good internet connection - two of us were able to work with only 1 or 2 small blips in service. Pretty good when you can walk out your door and take a couple mile hike in between conference calls! Firewood was provided, so we had a cozy fire going most of the time. The property was great - so many trails to explore and pretty well maintained as well.
The cabin has pretty much everything you need. The main room is quite spacious with lots of seating options. The loft area was smaller than we expected, as were the beds (which do need replaced - 1 is a very creaky mattress and box spring, the other is a futon) - the sheets and bedding were soft and comfy though so that balanced out š. Remember to watch your head up there!!! Bathroom was very clean, toiletries included, towels fluffy.
The staff was some of the best to work with - they really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed! Thank you Dana and Spencer!

Thank You for Honesty & Integrity
My husband and I rented this property for a 4-day getaway with our 2-yr-old son, who has a sensory disorder and hates loud groups and strangers too close to him. (And for some reason, he especially hates strangers singing near him.) We were concerned about renting this property since it was 50 yards from a lodge that could host big groups, so we inquired whether it was booked before we rented. We were informed that it was not booked, and the manager told us that he would let us know if it booked for our dates so that we could find other arrangements, given our situation. Unfortunately, the manager forgot to let us know about a large group that booked the lodge for our datesāand it was a school choir groupā¦a singing nightmare for our son. We did not discover this until we called to confirm just a couple days before we arrivedā¦well past the deadline for a full refund. The manager was honest enough to give us the full details about the choir group, and he had enough integrity to let us out of the rental agreement and give us a full refund for the cabin, understanding our sonās situation. He also assisted in helping us locate an alternative cabin in Hocking Hills that could accommodate us for the same dates. I want to thank this company for its honesty and integrity, even though we didnāt stay there. They could have tried to force us to stay and ruined our vacation, or at least tried to keep our money and made me come after them for itāa time-consuming and unpleasant experience for all involved. But they just did the right thing as a good company should. Thank you!!

I am sorry but I cannot give a five star for cleanness! Upstairs beds are very hard, so we camped on sofa bed still not real comfortable but better then beds in loft! If we return, I will bring an egg crate to sleep on It is a five star for the quiet and peaceful surroundings in the woods!! Lots of hiking trails!! I would have liked to have a vacuum to be able to clean floors!
We checked in on Friday and the fall activities night was fun. Our 8 year old granddaughter loved it. Did not realize there was a church group staying very close that were a little noisy late but not terrible. Absolutely gorgeous property. Wonderful walking paths and roads. Loved the location to old mans cave and other trails. Property managers were extremely nice and helpful.
Cabin was exactly as described and cute as a button. Very clean. Nice HOT shower.šš¼ Owners were wonderful and easy to deal with. They have a little festival every Friday night in October and my whole little family loved it! Especially my boys. We will definitely be back. š
The cabin was perfect, we had a wonderful time away! Everything we needed was provided, and it was very well kept. I was a little dissapointed at the location. From the picutrtes on the sight I though the cabin was on the lake. It's not far at all, but I wanted water front, which is not an option there.
Can't say enough about this perfect cabin in the woods of Geneva Hills and the delightful, friendly staff who did so much to make my stay memorable. Everything I needed, set in the woods, with hiking and kayaking on the property -- all this AND a wrap-around porch! :) I will definitely return to this place of tranquility.
