Overall a solid choice in Bayeux. Outstanding location by the city center, close to the main historic area and a grocery store close by. Good host communication. Beds comfortable, bathrooms fine, convenient washer and dryer for clothes, and dishwasher too.The place is a bit dated and could use a facelift. But it’s clean and comfortable.

Perfect base for exploring D Day beaches

It was clean, basic but you have everything you need. They also provided dish washer tablets, washing up liquid, tea towels, loo rolls etc - all the basics you need for a stay but are a nuisance if you have yo go out to buy them, so it was much appreciated. It's so close to the centre, with bars and shops, parking close by too (although you have to pay, but worth it for the convenience) We'd definitely stay again....

The stairs are killer. Location was perfect to walk to the train station and walk around an awesome town. Weird how they only gave us one roll of TP per bathroom.for 4 nights and 3 adults. We left 6 extra rolls so everyone should be fine haha. Location was great but couldn’t rent this place again because of the stairs.

Normandy trip

We drove up from Paris to take a tour of Normandy. Our tour was based in Bayeux and was within walking distance of the lodging. The house was quaint and as pictured and listed. The stairs are narrow and steep but were not an issue for us. It was well appointed for our stay. Bayeux is an interesting town to visit and we found several nice restaurants.

The check in process went smoothly. We were not aware of the awkwardness of the staircase. It made it hard for the elderly to climb the stairs.
