About this property

Fully mobilized, luxury safari tent, sleeps 4, separate private bathroom

In the beautiful northern part of the Netherlands, surrounded by meadows and streams, you will find our two the furnished safari tents. The tents are fully equipped with real beds and a full kitchen. The adjacent bath house has a private bathroom with hot shower, toilet and sink.
Our accommodation is located near the Leekstermeeres, the forests of Drenthe and the Frisian water sports area. The city of Groningen is only 12 km away. You can swim in front of the door in the open waters of Lettelberterdiep or take the canoe. Canoes, boats and bicycles can be rented from us.
The nearby village of Leek stands the castle Nienoord, a beautiful property with trails, a beautiful pool with water slides and a shooting range. In Leek and Zuidhorn there are good restaurants. However, you can also prepare your own meal in safari tent and enjoy a glass of wine at sunset.

Our safari tents

In Aan het Diepje we have three fully equipped safari tents. They are highly recommended for people who love the country life, but do not want to sacrifice comfort.
The safari tents exude a cozy atmosphere and can accommodate 4 to 12 people. The inner tent is divided into bedroom, kitchen and living room. In both tents the kitchen is fully ausgetstattet with gas stove with 4 hotplates, refrigerator, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, cooking utensils and a faucet with cold water. The living room has a large table with sofa and chairs. There is more seating around a low table. The mobile gas heater can be turned on cool evenings in spring and autumn.
The master bedroom has a double bed and a wardrobe. The adjoining second bedroom has two single beds.
All three safari tents come with free Wi-Fi.

The sanitary facilities

In addition to the safari tents is the new toilet block. There are three bathrooms. Each tent has thus a separate area with shower, toilet and sink. The bathrooms are spacious and equipped with every comfort, just as you are used to at home.

On arrival, the beds in the tents are freshly made in the kitchen hanging tea towels and there are towels in the bathroom. If you need a high chair, a cot, a baby bath or other utensils, we will provide you with this. This service is included in the price.

Nice and relaxing

First off...the location is extremely idyllic. You don't have the feeling you lack anything despite the tent like accommodation. But it's extremely refined, nicely organised and just feels nice. There are chickens on the property roaming around and cows within viewing distance. Made just lying outside feel a lot more interesting. No complains

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, die immer bei Nachfragen zur Verfügung standen. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr familienfreundlich, es gibt nur einen kleinen Negativpunkt. Bei Ostwind ist die Autobahn ziemlich deutlich zu hören

Clamping at it’s best

Wir haben ein paar wunderschöne Tage hier verbracht und werden ganz bestimmt wiederkommen! Zu Beginn wurden wir von sehr freundlichen Vermietern begrüßt und haben eine saubere und hochwertige Unterkunft vorgefunden. Hier wurde alles mit viel Liebe zu Qualität und Detail eingerichtet. Die Nähe zur Natur und zu den Tieren vor Ort hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Unsere Tochter war begeistert von den morgendlichen Hühnerbesuchen auf unserer Terrasse und den Kühen auf der gegenüberliegenden Weide. Das Trampolin und der Sandkasten vor dem Zelt sind besonders für kleine Kinder ideal! Besonders schön fanden wir auch den Teewagen mit Getränken und hausgemachten Kuchen, die täglich angeboten wurden. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight, das wir gerne weiterempfehlen!

Sehr positiv

Sehr freundliche Besitzer, Umgebung ist sehr schön zum entspannen. In Oktober ist nachts etwas kalt gewesen im Zelt, tagsüber war es sehr angenehmen, abends pelletoffen hat die angenehme Wärme gegeben. Wer sich ruhiges Ort zum entspannen sucht ist hier genau richtig, auch Urlaub mit Kinder kann ich mir sehr gut vorstellen.

Schöne Natur und nah am Wasser

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Das Zelt war hervorragend ausgestattet, groß und sehr gemütlich. Der Platz liegt mitten in der Natur. Die Kinder fanden den Steg zum Schwimmen, das Trampolin und das Kettcar toll. Die Hühner und die Katze waren sehr freundlich - die Gastgeber auch! Wir hatten einen unkomplizierten und angenehmen Aufenthalt! Gerne wieder!

Super Angelurlaub

Wir sind gerade erst wieder zurück und wollten mal unseren Eindruck schildern. Alles in allem ein super Ausflugsziel und eine tolle Unterkunft. Es hat etwas von Camping aber dennoch gibt es richtige Betten und auch alles andere ist wie in einer Ferienwohnung. Die Duchen und Toiletten sind dem jeweiligen Zelt zugeordnet aber in einem anderen Gebäude ca. 20m Fußmarsch. Es ist jetzt Anfang Oktober und die Nächte waren zwischen 6-14C° kalt. Der Ofen ist schnell an aber wenn man kälteempfindlich ist könnte das das einzige manko sein. Uns hat das nichts ausgemacht. Und da dieses Ziel wohl eher im Sommer genutzt wird hat es für die meisten Besucher wohl keine relevanz. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ein super Urlaub in einer sehr sauberen und schönen Ferienunterkunft.

Wir haben die Ruhe und Erholung genossen. Schön ist die Nähe der Stadt Groningen welche wir mit dem Fahrrad erkundet haben.

Toller Aufenthalt in einem sehr gemütlichen Zelt!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von unseren beiden Gastgebern empfangen und haben tolle fünf Tage in diesem sehr gemütlichen Zelt verbracht. Das Zelt ist liebevoll eingerichtet und man kann herrlich in dieser ruhigen und entschleunigten Umgebung entspannen. Für Kinder ist viel Platz zum Toben auf den Wiesen - und das Trampolin war natürlich der Hit. Auch den Trip mit dem Motorboot, das es vor Ort zu mieten gibt, haben wir sehr genossen. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Herzliche Grüße aus Bonn.

Family getaway

After a busy couple of weeks of travelling and settling our daughter into the University of Groningen, we spent a quiet, peaceful weekend at this wonderful place. The accommodations were very comfortable for our family of 4 adults and we especially enjoyed the views and the use of bikes to explore the countryside. Being able to help ourselves to the fresh vegetables in the garden was a bonus and we made good use of the excellent cooking facilities in the safari tent. We highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a bit of country living!

Idyllischer Kurzurlaub

Wir suchten nach einem spontanen Kurzurlaub für Groß und Klein und sind dabei auf dieses Angebot gestoßen. Das Inserat war ansprechend und wir haben sofort zugeschlagen. Es war rundrum eine gute Wahl gewesen! Das Safarizelt war rustikal, mit komplett selbstgefertigten Möbeln liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Betten waren sehr gemütlich mit Moskitonetz ausgestattet. Die Küchenausstattung war wirklich gut und der Kühlschrank ausreichend groß. Das private Badhaus liegt direkt hinter den beiden Zelten. Es war sehr sauber und die Handtücher wurden zwischendurch auch gewechselt. Die Lage war für Ausflüge mit Auto, Rad, zu Fuß oder zu Wasser ideal und vor allem sehr ruhig und naturverbunden. Es ist eine tolle Alternative zum herkömmlichen Camping oder Zelten, vor allem, auch bei schlechterem Wetter. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt - wir kommen sicher wieder!
