The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is close to a lot of attractions, which made getting around easy. The kitchen and home were fully stocked with everything we needed, and we really appreciated the little extras like the fire pit and games. The host was also quick to respond whenever we reached out and the check out instructions were clear and pretty reasonable. Our biggest surprise was that the house doesn’t have central air. We stayed in the middle of summer, and it got up to around 80 inside during the day. Some plug in fans were provided, but we ended up having to sleep with the windows open just to get the house cool enough to sleep. Since we were traveling with a baby, a young child, and our dog, we weren’t really comfortable leaving the windows open all night in an area we weren’t familiar with so that took a little peace of mind off the plate. I really wish that had been mentioned in the listing because it would have made a difference when choosing a place to stay. (The power went out one night, which obviously wasn’t the host’s fault, but without power we also lost the fans, and the house temp became pretty uncomfortable.) Also a morning around 8 a.m. the lawn was being mowed. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, but because we had to keep the windows open overnight, it was really loud and woke everyone up. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend, just wish there was a better option for keeping home cool.
