About this property
Secluded cabin sitting high above the bustling world below......
An exciting new addition to the rental program, this cabin continues to be improved and updated by the new cabin owners! Rental Property Accessed via a private driveway, the cabin is truly off on its own. From the lofted back deck views stretch out to either side down the valley below. Perched above Mountain Parkway, some highway noise is inevitable, but quickly fades into the background once you settle into the comforts of the cabin. A covered front porch also offers a relaxing place for a coffee in a rocking chair or porch swing. The New Hot Tub has room for everyone with one of the best panoramic sunset views we have to offer.
Inside, the cabin is full of personal touches and artwork from the cabin owners. The Full kitchen is stocked with all of the cookware and dinnerware you need for a weekend getaway or extended stay. Enjoy a meal inside or outside at either of the dining tables or kitchen bar stool seating. With a downstairs private bedroom hosting two full beds, as well as an upstairs loft with a queen bed, this is a great option for families or groups of friends looking to enjoy the nearby Red River Gorge. Curl up in front of the fireplace with a book, or choose a DVD or board game from the resident collection. Head up to the loft for a game of Foosball, where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the same spectacular views. Cabin now has Wi-Fi and a Flat Screen Smart TV. Log in with your Netflix, Hulu, etc. and enjoy. Please make sure to log out when departing. The home is complimented with a newly renovated full bathroom with tub/shower combination. A laundry facility is available for guest use, convenient for extended stays.
Located just a few miles from Slade, you're a short drive from the best hiking, climbing, dining, and local attractions (zip-lining, cave exploring, etc.) at the Red. The cabin is accessed via a gravel road, part of which climbs a steep hill.

Great cabin with an excellent view. Sparse amenities (shampoo, soap, etc.), but a real travelers' secluded paradise.

The cabin was amazing, my only thing I would say in general regarding it was having the up keep a little more on a regular basis, biggest thing is the cabin says secluded and it seems like it is when you are driving to get to it however it sits up a cliff and the is a main road and the noise travels. It’s not peaceful it’s very loud and noisy and you can hear semi trucks all hours of the night going up and down road. Other than that it was a great experience and I would recommend cabin

This cabin was nice and description was accurate. It's in a good location if you are planning to do some hiking around Red River Gorge. The hot tub was great and there was enough good seating for the number of people it sleeps. You do need 4 wheel drive to get here, even in good weather. There are a few things that could have been better. The kitchen was missing several pots or pans. There were only 6 forks, 5 plates, and 1 cup. They did deliver a big pot to us when we asked for one.The gas grill was not usable. The grilling surface was completely rusted. We noticed evidence of mice activity and on the last night they got into our food.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the cabin, hot tub, seating, and convenient location for exploring Red River Gorge. We also appreciate you letting us know about the kitchen supplies, grill, and signs of mice activity. We’re sorry those things took away from your stay. We’ll be addressing these items with our team so we can make sure they’re taken care of. We’re also glad we were able to get the larger pot to you during your stay. Thanks again for helping us know where we can improve!
We had a great time in this cozy cabin in the mountains!! Host was fantastic, great communication, cabin was very clean, and the patio and deck were very nice.
Cabin was very nice for the price... a few lady bugs - and the hvac was kinda confusing. But hot tub and view, kitchen and living room, and back deck were all fantastic

Thank you so much for the feedback. We're sorry about the asian beetles (lady bugs). They are invasive and we do try to keep them out. We hope to see you again!
The ONLY issue, was the road leading to the cabin... didnt know we needed 4x4 to get to the cabin, i drive a Mercedes and would not recommend driving a car to that cabin again. Outside of that, great place to stay. Loved it!

Ac sucks can’t turn it below 74 or it no freezes up they said got so hot we couldn’t sleep. Using the bathroom or taking a shower was hard to do because of a smell in the bathroom smelt like a dead animal it was awful. Mouse poop in all the cabinets and on the counters. Great view and great location tho
We loved the cabin and it's beautiful views. It was the perfect home base for hiking and exploring the Red River Gorge area. We loved relaxing on the deck and hanging out in the hot tub at the end of the day.

Our stay was absolutely everything we wanted. The cabin was secluded but yet we were only a 20 minute drive to anything we needed. The hot tub was great and looking up at the stars at night while in it was perfect. Cant wait to visit again!!

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay at Two Dog Lodge! Thank you for the feedback and we hope you visit us again!
Loved this cabin. The driveway can be quite a beast to get up, so the 4 wheel drive required is definitely accurate. The cabin was super clean on arrival. There were some damages, nothing major, but I addressed with management immediately and they handled it very professionally. Amazing view from the hot tub. Needs a guestbook!!
My wife and I loved how quiet and secluded it was. We enjoyed the outdoors. The view from the cabin was amazing

The cabin was cozy. The views were beautiful but the traffic noise was non stop. We enjoyed walks down the driveway and visited the parks and scenic areas. It was great to get away and unwind.
