Wonderful experience in a lovely condo

  • 4 of 5

From the moment we stepped into this condo, we knew our family was in for an awesome experience. The decor is tasteful and comfortable-- wait till you sleep on the master bedroom mattress!-- and the home is full of nice amenities.

We were able to shop in the local grocery (SUPER-expensive--about 2 or 3 times the price you pay in the US) and cook in the condo-- it is well-equipped for preparing family meals. Our children enjoyed the complimentary wi-fi for keeping up with their friends at home and posting awesome vacation photos on social media. My husband and I enjoyed the luxurious master bathroom and private lanai off the bedroom.

Housekeeping is included on a daily basis, and our sweet housekeeper was friendly and efficient.

We did have to change rooms on our final night, but the owner helped facilitate a smooth transition and made it as pleasant as possible for us.

Our 9-year-old son made a lot of friends poolside, and our teenage daughter was able to relax and rejuvenate in the crystal clear waters. Snorkeling is a MUST at Coral Gardens-- don't be surprised to see a barracuda or a family of sea turtles if you venture out far enough from shore. Parasailing is available with on site reservations and our family found it well worth the price for a fantastic experience for both kids!

The only unpleasant part was the odor of the well-water used for irrigation-- very stinky when in use-- and there was no first aid kit available when my husband sliced his foot on a sharp piece of coral while snorkeling.

Otherwise-- a fabulous overall vacation, and we will look forward to bringing our family back to this tropical paradise!!

Excellent condo...excellent location!

  • 5 of 5

This is our 5th trip to Provo and we have stayed at several properties over the years and was not disappointed by this condo. It was well taken care of...pride of ownership shows here and it was much nicer than the pictures denote. Updated and personal touches so it felt like a home. You can't beat the view and all of the staff is so wonderful. Flo gave me flowers several times for the condo and just to see her smile every day was worth the trip!! Cecelia took good care of us, as well as Jerome on the beach.

Office staff always very pleasant and helpful. You need a car on the Island if you want to savor all it has to offer. Snorkeling is right there at Coral Gardens, as well as "Somewhere" to eat, which is very convenient. This is probably the narrowest beach area however, as you lose alot of beach at high tide. Would definitely go back again...just have to save my pennies as to stay on Grace Bay Beach is a bit pricey. Great condo.

Incredible Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This property provided all the amenities for our family of five to have the perfect vacation. The pictures on this website are an exact characterization of what we found upon arrival. The condo was immaculate, spacious, beautifully decorated and had an amazing view from the balcony of the gorgeous white sand beach and tropical blue waters. The kitchen was well appointed which was important to us including everything we needed to cook breakfast, lunch and mix tropical drinks in the Ninja blender! The staff at Coral Gardens were exceptional and provided all the services we needed including recommendations/reservations for restaurants and advice for exploring areas of the island for beaches and snorkeling. You definitely should rent a car as we did to enjoy the beauty of the island. We did a half day snorkeling trip with Caicos Adventures which couldn't be more convenient located right on site. Make reservations for these trips in advance as they do fill up quickly! It was an amazing experience as we saw eagle rays, baracuda, sting rays and several type of shark. The coral formations are spectaluar and give you such an appreciation of what lies beneath the water. The guys on the boat go out of their way to make it an adventure you will never forget. We also snorkeled off our beach and saw turtles, shark, rays and many beautiful and colorful tropical fish Another spectacular snorkeling area is Smith Reef near Turtle Cove. We spent a quiet day on Taylor Bay Beach which is a true gem of a location with crystal aqua water and white sand. Its alittle hard to find but a great place for a quiet afternoon with hardly anyone around. There are no facilities on this beach so pack your own drinks and food! Matthew, Manager & Coincierge of Coral Gardens suggested many restaurants that we recommend including the Tiki Hut, Baci, Conch Shack, The Beach House, Bugaloo's and Somewhere Cafe. Most of the dininig is outdoors with beautiful garden and water views. We will always remember the wonderful people we met along the way who helped to make this a very memorable vacation for our family!

Sand, Saltwater, and Sun

  • 5 of 5

Provo is the definition of island getaway. This condo at Coral Gardens offers the best amenity you can get out of a beach vacation… location! You are footsteps from the beach, and once in the water you will encounter the wonderful coral reef. While snorkeling we saw many types of fish (even the famous barracuda named Bob) sea turtles and of coarse the beautiful coral. The white sand and turquoise clear water (amazing visibility, can see clear to the bottom) is a perfect place to read a book under the hatched umbrellas, enjoy a beer, kayak, snorkel, swim, go for a run, build a sandcastle, and more.

Some things specific to our trip that made staying at the condos so convenient was that the charter boats used for excursions will pick you up on the beach. We enjoyed diving trips (the Drive shop on site even offers 2 day resort training, with pool and open water dives), parasailing, conch dives (dive down and collect your own conch shells and the guide will make a conch salad out of your catch). Also the Somewhere Café has a two-story outdoor bar and restaurant; this offers unobstructed views of sunset. Their happy hour coincides with the hours of sunset and I recommend the fresh Mojitos. Other than the on site dive shop and restaurant the common area also has two pools. Inside the condo they have laundry, full kitchen, living room, dining area, and a large balcony. The IGA grocery store (a short drive away) offers the best selection of groceries so you can use that kitchen and dining. We made a few dinners with fresh fish, but this was most convenient for breakfast and lunch.

Other important mentions include: TCI Helicopters give a breathtaking aerial tour of the island, The Conch Shack and Sharkbite restaurants offer great casual dining, The staff at Coral Gardens is so nice, say hello to Jerome on the beach!
