Beautiful mountain getaway

We stayed for 5 nights here. We had no issues throughout our stay. Wifi was fine/worked just fine. You just have to make sure you open the internet and put your info in once you connect. Home was older but clean. Hot tub seemed to work just fine. The only reason I’m leaving 3 stars for communication is that I never actually communicated with anyone throughout the entire process but honestly we had no questions/need to speak with anyone. Check in was easy. Very spacious. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay close to town but far away enough to feel like you’re getting the mountain experience this is the place got you! Absolutely recommend!

Updates needed

Wasn’t aware we’d be climbing a huge one way steep incline to cabin. Got there and several blinds were broken before we even entered. Cabin was extremely dark and almost spooky especially top level. Cabin in desperate need of updates. Pool balls were missing. Air hockey table falling apart. Tv/satellite was hit or miss. Cabin was dirty. They offered to clean but we had our pets and were only there for the weekend so there was no time. We would’ve had to take the pets with us. Pet policy was not clear when reservation was made so had to pay extra. The only reimbursement was a Texas Roadhouse meal or a gift certificate for a future stay to one of the company’s cabins. Huge let down for a lot of money!

We made the best of it.

There was little effort put into cleaning. The garden tub had short hairs on the outside of the filter. There was a glob of hair on the stairs, the sink drains stunk like sewage. What looked like spider webs were dust bunnies strung across the ceilings. I could continue but you get the idea. This unit needs a DEEP CLEAN. The unit is dated which was expected but with it not being very clean, that exacerbated the outdatedness of everything. The unit did not have internet and was supposed to. There was Wi-Fi connection, yet not internet which didn't allow for phone and T.V. connection. We were unable to use the internet to search for activities and make reservations. We had to go into town to utilize our phones. We reported this issue on the evening of arrival but there was never a resolution prior to our departure. We had several issues but there there were not enough characters allowed to elaborate further. Very disappointed. According to the property management company, the owner never responded to address any of the issues we were experiencing.
