About this property

Quiet, modern 1 BR basement, relaxing, movie theater

Relax after hiking or exploring in our one bedroom and watch on the projector while reclining on the couches and enjoying some popcorn with the theater style popcorn machine! You're welcome to use the washer and dryer and kitchen on the main floor where we live as long as we can work out a schedule that works for everyone. Hunters welcome! There is one queen sized bed in the bedroom with two available air mattresses to sleep up to 6. Entry to the basement is through the garage and into the house with the basement door just behind the door inside the house.

We are a family with two kids and one dog. We live on the main and top floor, the VRBO space is the basement.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Our Stay at this cozy VRBO basement retreat was absolutely wonderful . Each morning we opened the shutters to find friendly chickens greeting us right at the window-a charming touch that made the stay truly special.The space was comfortable warm and thoughtfully prepared offering everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hosts Valerie and Sean, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed , making us feel right at home . It was the perfect peaceful retreat with genuine hospitality.

The house is in a nice neighborhood and the basement was easy to get into using the hosts instructions. We didn't talk with them directly but the space was all ready for us. We enjoyed the extra touch of having the home theater with Netflix ready to use. If we get back there we'll likely stay there again. Thank you.

Very pleasant neighborhood and property was clean and newer. The projection TV was great for a movie with power recliners and a love sac to relax in while watching. Plenty of sleeping options even room for a queen air mattress for the kids that the hosts so graciously had set up with sheets and comforter. I would definitely stay here again.

Vernal Getaway

Perfect vacationing or working persons quarters. Modern, clean ,quiet, comfortable. A few minutes drive into Vernal you will find fuel, groceries and many eating establishments.

Amazing Place

We enjoyed our stay and the hosts are hospitable and helpful. We enjoyed the space, my children loved the popcorn machine and felt at home and comfortable. This is a quiet downstairs 1 bedroom modern living space. It has a very large projection screen with great app access. You are sitting in luxurious leather recliners and have access to a fun popcorn popper. It has a family atmosphere. Access through the garage and kitchen area is ok. Great hosts.

Very clean alternative to a hotel.

Very clean and great hosts. We stayed with our family (6 total). The listing stated up to 8. Beyond the queen bed in the bed room everything is blowup mattresses. The space in the basement is great, a bedroom, bathroom and a common room with a small fridge, table and an entertainment/projector area. Was tight with 2 blowup mattresses (queen size). The hosts made a plate of cookies and were very easy to work with.

Great place for the price

This is a basement in a residential neighborhood. The hosts were cordial and helpful. They gave us a pitcher of cold water with ice when we asked. Check in was flawless and the automatic light at the back entrance was so nice when we came home late at night. We had to park across the street. This is a newly finished basement, new carpet, paint, bathroom, couches. It has an adequate dining table and 4 chairs. The TV is a projection screen on a wall. Navigating the three remote controls took some patience. Not shown in the pictures is a microwave and closet (with hangers). There is no place to open your suitcase except on the bed or the dining table. (We put a couple of chairs together and that worked fine.) The bed is a queen size bed that we found uncomfortable (your mileage may vary) and the sheets and bedding were clean. The bathroom was clean and everything functioned well. Good water pressure and hot water. The towels are just some old, coarse, ripped towels under the sink so you might want to bring your own. There was no bar soap or shampoo so you'll need to bring your own. There was liquid soap at the sink. The dogs bark when you come in and come up and smell you, but they are friendly. Overall, it was a nice stay and you can't beat the price. I recommend this place to future travelers.

Great place for family

We enjoyed our week in Vernal. After a two day drive from Texas it was nice to have a place to call home. The movie theater was a nice touch. We door dashed dinner and watched hocus pocus and relaxed in the cozy recliners. Very relaxing. The place was super clean!!!! We were out and about most of the time, but enjoyed the bed. It was very comfortable. The shower was great. It was nice that my daughter had a blow up mattress behind the recliners so she had her own room. She appreciated that. We were able to do a load of laundry one night which helped. We still way over packed. The hosts were very accommodating. We will definitely want to stay here again if we come back to Vernal!!!

Very pleasant stay.

Very nice place and was convenient to the Dinosaur National Monument. Very nice neighborhood. Apartment is in the basement of a family home and during the day you can expect normal family sounds (non bothersome) but Very Very quiet after 8 pm.

Long term summer rental

Reserved for 9 weeks for summer internship. Worked out perfectly for me given lack of options in Vernal. Owners were friendly and even baked me a cake for my birthday! Property was clean and safe and stayed cool throughout the hot summer. Used laundry but didn't use the kitchen as I traveled a lot during the stay. Would definitely recommend.

Fun in Vernal!

We enjoyed our week-long stay in Vernal. The things we enjoyed about this property included an inexpensive place to stay and visit our daughter. We also enjoyed coming back to the property each night and watching a movie on the movie theatre screen. The negatives...the entry was a bit awkward coming through the garage and then into the owners kitchen; however, the owners were very nice. The other negative for us was the bed was really soft and we are used to a firm mattress, but overall we enjoyed our stay and the price was GREAT! ML

Great location, price, hosts, and facility

This was a fantastic stay. Awesome movie theater room, the bed is really soft. The kitchen is fully stocked and we were able to use it as needed. Side note: If cooking bacon, cook low and slow. Otherwise their fire alarm will scare you. Haha
