Comfortable apartment with pool and sauna 200m from the beach

Our 2 room apartment is located on the second floor of a well-maintained residence building, distance to the beach just 100 meters. The living room has a separate dining area and features a dual function double sofa-bed. You will find a well equipped kitchen in an area separated. The sunny south-west facing balcony provides also a view of the Baltic Sea. The separate bedroom features a double bed, two large wardrobes and some wall cupboards provide sufficient storage space. The bathroom contains an integrated bath, a large mirror and there are lots of places to put things on. A hairdryer is available.

Attractions in surrounding of Timmendorf: Timmendorfer Strand is situated at the 'shore' of the lovely landscape of the so called Holsteinische Schweiz. This landscape is characterized by numerous lakes, a charming hill-scenery with large forests where the visitor can enjoy friendly small villages, enjoy flat sand beaches, but also can see steep cliffs of the Lübecker Bucht. Pretty little towns with affectionate buildings like Plön, Eutin, Ratzeburg or Travemünde compete with the old hanseatic city of Lübeck, where you can enjoy exceptional sight seeing impressions you will not forget like its impressive churches, the Holstentor and the wonderfull houses. In the nearst environment (no more than one hour by car) you will find the great harbours of Hamburg and Kiel. If you follow the highway A1 in the direction to Fehmarn the landscape begins to get more flat and soon you will see the imposing arc of the Fehmarnsund bridge. This tour is particularly recommended in the month of June when the rape fields flower all around.

For active/enterprising people: If you don´t want to lie and relax on the beach all the time you have besides the various sporting activities a great number of other possibilities in the nearest environment. Here a selection of recommendations: sea tours by ship are starting more than once daily from the picturesque fishing and yaught harbour of Niendorf to different destinations along the coast and up the Trave. A walk along the Brodtener bluff to Travemünde (two hours) will be rewarded by a fantastic view over the Lübecker Bucht and the going and coming ferries. After the walk you can relax with a cup of tea or coffee on the Vorderreihe, a pretty promenade from which you have a good view to the old bark Passat. In summertime music and theatre performances take place at several locations, for example opera and operetta performances on the open-air-stage in the castle park of Eutin. Some more worthwhile destinations are the Ostseetherme with indoor and outdoor pools, slide and sauna, bird park or Sealife Aquarium.

Charming pre- and postseason: At Timmendorfer Strand there is always activity, also during the early spring and autumn and even during the winter. But in the pre- and post seasonal periods all turns a little bit slower. A time really without hectic pace. When from October until March the wicker beach chairs are stored in the winter depots, the beach belongs just to the beach walkers. After a winter walk along the beach in fresh breeze and crystal clear air you will like even more the mulled wine which you get at small huts or on the heated terraces of the cafes. This especially when in Christmas time the pedestrian zone and the harbour of Niendorf shine in countless festive lights. Who likes it, warms up later in the sauna or relaxes in the apartment. In April time slowly the wicker beach chairs come back to the beach and you can enjoy a first bath in the early, slowly awaiking sun. And the courageous ones then even dive more than the toe into the cold Baltic Sea...
