In its own right and quiet, in a clearing in the forests of the Småland region, this old farm (Kolabo) with a spacious house, originally built around 1900 by two brothers for their families. From the outside, it shows a traditional, red-and-white robe and a typical carved wooden veranda. From the inside, however, it presents itself in a contemporary and mint condition, with a bright, inviting living ambience. Three old tiled stoves and a fireplace provide in the colder months for pleasant warmth and a cozy living atmosphere.
On the ground floor there are kitchen, laundry, bathroom, dining room, 2 living rooms and a bedroom. Upstairs there are three more bedrooms, one of them with adjoining children's room (small room), also a bathroom and a living gallery. In total there are beds for 10 persons (+ two children).
The kitchen and laundry room are equipped with extra-wide stove (four plates and oven), microwave, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, washing machine, tumble dryer.
Internet reception is only possible via UltraStick - available at Radiohus in Bredaryd.
The house stands on a 1-hectare natural plot, with a fire pit and other outbuildings and plenty of space for romping and playing. Ping pong table, darts and other games are available in one of the barns. Also a tandem as well as old, but functional bicycles.
On the terrace or the balcony you can sit in the evening and admire the sunsets. The next neighbor lives 1 km further.
There are shops in about 3 km distant Lanthandel in Tallberga, larger supermarkets can be found in Bredaryd, Forsheda, Värnamo and Gislaved.
Värnamo is also home to the nearest hospital, pharmacies and other public facilities.
On foot you can reach the lakeside of Gryssjön, where the rowing boat is moored. The large lake Bolmen is only 4 km from the house. Both there and at the lakes Flaten and Tansjön, there are several public swimming areas. A little further south you will find the small harbor town of Sunnaryd with a very special ferry connection to the island of Bolmsö. This is the only cable ferry in Sweden. Then it goes to Ljungby and Lagan, with a legend and a car museum. South of Sunnaryd is Tiraholm's smokehouse, where you can shop for lunch - of course just in case you did not have anglers luck on one of the many waters. Further north you can reach the forest and hiking area Isaberg in about 30 minutes, with the southernmost ski resort in Sweden.
Also worth a visit is the National Park Store Mosse with hiking opportunities, rare bird species and the Museum Naturum and the Western Amusement Park High Chaparral.
A day trip takes you into the Smaland Astrid Lindgrens with the city of Vimmerby and the farms Bullerbü and Katthult.
And if you want urban variety, u. a. Explore the cities of Gothenburg (2 hours), Jönköping (1.5 hours) or Stockholm (4 hours).
