Light airy end unit featuring hardwood floors throughout and 12' ceilings in the latest development in the heart of Folly Beach, referred to locally as 'The Edge of America' and well known for it's eclectic mix of inhabitants. Folly has long been attractive to the artist community and is one of the best surfing areas on the east coast.

An ideal eclectic getaway in a new, lower density, well-designed complex with Caribbean flair. Suitable for 1-2 couples or small families. Well behaved canine family members are welcome when the responsible adult to child+dog ratio is 1:1 or better. Peaceful, perfectly situated location away from the hustle and bustle of front beach party atmosphere, yet truly only a 7 minute stroll to beach and fishing pier, 5 minutes to Center Street restaurants and entertainment. Historic Charleston SC, with all its charm, is only 15 minutes away via motorcoach. An electric piano in the living room delights keyboardists and vocalists alike.

We strive to keep our home chemical scent-free by cleaning with natural products and essential oils, as well as avoiding chemical pesticides etc. Chemical scent-free laundry detergent as well as chemical free air freshener and insect repellent is also provided. We ask that guests refrain from using artificially scented products while in residence. If advice is needed as to where/how to obtain naturally scented personal care items, we're glad to assist.

Spacious... room to be together.. room to be apart. We've not converted the small study into a dedicated third bedroom as is often done, electing instead to retain it as a multi-use space instead. Our guests are generally more mature adults seeking better quality accommodations and a more open and relaxed atmosphere. Study includes yoga mat etc. as well as a full size drafting table, enabling accommodation of other pursuits. There is also a sofa should you have an extra family member joining you for a day or two. This room is truly meant as another space to retreat, design, think and read, not meant to be pressed into full service as sleeping accommodation for a full week. However, in a pinch, for a couple nights it'll do.

Why Cheryl or Michael chose Folly Beach

We originally chose this townhome located in Back Bay (not Water's Edge) as a second residence because Folly is said to have the cleanest air on the east coast and I needed to escape the effects of the heaviest spring pollens at home. We are now able to share our townhome year round as I am no longer forced to flee from home every spring. ;)

Please note we're _not_ located in the Water's Edge Development. Recent system changes seem to use somewhat inaccurate latitude/longitude tagging to determine location/development/community.

What makes this townhome unique

With the county boat landing just a couple blocks away, it's convenient to go for a quick paddle on a whim, the back side of Folly offers wonderful places to kayak. We never know what we're going to see. The island is also a great place to jog and bicycle, plus miles and miles of beach to enjoy. The outdoor shower with hot and cold water makes beach excursions so much more convenient and really does minimize sand inside. The location is prefect, not in the hub bub of front beach activity, yet an easy walk to beach access and to restaurants etc. on Center Street. ↂ GREEN ALL NATURAL CLEANING PRODUCTS ↂ LOW TO NO PESTICIDE USE (baits & plant based pesticide used only if required, essential oil steam mopping is our most effective deterrent) ↂ WIRELESS INTERNET will be deactivated on request (others close though & will lose Netflix) ↂ Cable TV vs. satellite ↂ no toxic 'wrinkle free' sheets & no linen service used, we do it all ↂ no falling asleep to the overpowering smell and effects of bleached linens, dryer sheets, or fabric softeners ↂ linens washed and dried in machines free of chemicals/synthetic scents ↂ chlorine filters on showers ↂ filtered water in fridge and ice-maker ↂ no synthetic scents ↂ no smoking ↂ CAT ALLERGIES? We only allow dogs ;)

Perfect Place To Escape Winter

My husband and I along with our dog left Michigan to spend our winter here and absolutely LOVED it !!! Although we are not scent sensitive, we certainly appreciated the chemical-free cleanliness of this home. Cheryl and Michael have thought of everything to make this the kind of place that you want to keep coming back to or never leave! It's tastefully furnished, the kitchen has everything you could ever need, the bed in the master bedroom is to die for, the drafting table in the front room was perfect for putting together puzzles, it's fully stocked with all paper products, soaps and laundry detergent, there's a garage with bicycles, beach chairs, grill, and best of all, a dog bath! Cheryl & Michael covered two of the couches with dog covers and even welcomed our dog with a full bowl of filtered water upon our arrival! The location couldn't be more perfect either--close enough to walk to Center street and the beach that you never need your car unless you're heading elsewhere. Cheryl & Michael truly make you feel welcome and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay a memorable one. If you decide to stay here while visiting Folly, I guarantee this would be the Best. Decision. Ever!!!!

Fabulous, clean, and refreshing getaway!

With a focus on a chemically free environment to accommodate people with sensitivities, Micheal and Cheryl have created a cozy, spotlessly clean haven with countless amenities and thoughtful touches to make your stay feel like home! Although we have no allergy issues, the care devoted to providing all our needs was "over the top". Our dog was recovering from a snakebite, so Cheryl had filtered water,, rug pads on steps, orvis blankets to cover furniture and a dream dog spa in the garage for our pet's comfort. The kitchen is fully furnished with every need from blender to coffee press to shrimp de-veiners. The tempurpedic mattress in the Master was so comfortable and to awaken with a cup of coffee in the screened balcony, listen to music through the BOSE system, or do computer work on the big draft table was great! They provided 3 bikes, beach chairs and boogie boards with an easy walk to the beach. Although the check in process had paperwork with the commitment to honor chemically free living, I was grateful that they took such diligence in providing that environment. Truly stewards of the earth and love for health! We will be back to their wonderful CLEAN retreat! Denise and Tim Pastoor

Wonderful rental!

We have stayed in the townhouse for four years now. This is a beautiful place to stay, clean beyond words and the owners now seem like family to me. They are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and that you have a pleasant stay. This is truly a home away from home with anything you could possibly need. If you want a top notch rental this is your place.

Feels like home!

This was the third time that my family and I have stayed at this home. My use of the word home here instead of property is deliberate. When I go on vacation I don't like to stress about the cleanliness or comfort of the place where we stay. This is the only vacation home that I have ever revisited, as it fits that bill. The owners are incredibly helpful and informative. They have outfitted this home as if they live there. Here is a list of some of my favorite things that are provided at this home: temperpedic mattress in the master, Bose wave radio, huge garage, mostly hardwood floors, unique furniture, and vast array of supplied amenities from bikes to Brita filtered water. Stay here. You won't be disappointed. Even the lazy susan in the kitchen cabinets is spotless. No where else would that be clean.

Perfect Honeymoon!

We stayed here the week of June 7th, 2015 for our honeymoon. The townhouse was absolutely wonderful, exceptionally clean, and the location was outstanding! Michael and Cheryl were super helpful and friendly! They provided chemical free products which is was very helpful since we do not have any allergies and did not already have any of the required soaps or detergents. The bikes included with the house were a big hit with us, we rode them just about everywhere! We could be at the beach, or at one of the many restaurants or shops in just a few minutes. The entire week we were there we hardly left Folly Beach because we enjoyed exploring the island on the bikes so much! We loved cooking breakfast in the mornings, and it was awesome that the kitchen had just about everything that you could ever need or want in a kitchen! The enclosed balconies were perfect to relax in, and the bed was extremely comfortable! We loved our stay, and we hope to visit Folly Beach again soon!

Very nice very clean A+

This place is very nice, very clean, great if you have allergies, & very dog friendly. This is by far the best place I've stayed at on vacation. It is so clean that I could walk around bare foot worry free. They have a lot of this furnished such as boogie boards, beach chairs, bikes, a kite, a dog bath, plenty towels. They also supply other necessities such as soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. it's very peaceful to sit out on the balcony and relax and just a short walk to the beach. I would recommend a beach cart if you have a lot to take with you to the beach like me. Met the owners and they're very nice and are very helpful. I hope to stay with you again! I found my spot on Folly!
