We cater to those who can not tolerate typical cleaning chemicals and/or synthetic fragrance and welcome those searching for environmentally safer travel lodging. In order to maintain status, all guests agree to participate in our chemical and synthetic scent free approach. We ask that you take a few moments to scan the entirety of this section so that you may understand recent changes to this listing service, click the "more info" button below this paragraph, notable changes are logged below the property description. Light airy end unit featuring hardwood floors throughout and 12' ceilings in the latest development in the heart of Folly Beach, referred to locally as 'The Edge of America' and well known for it's eclectic mix of inhabitants. Folly has long been attractive to the artist community and is one of the best surfing areas on the east coast.
An ideal eclectic getaway in a new, lower density, well-designed complex with Caribbean flair. Suitable for 1-2 couples or small families. Well behaved canine family members are welcome when the responsible adult to child+dog ratio is 1:1 or better. Peaceful, perfectly situated location away from the hustle and bustle of front beach party atmosphere, yet truly only a 7 minute stroll to beach and fishing pier, 5 minutes to Center Street restaurants and entertainment. Historic Charleston SC, with all its charm, is about 15 minutes away via motorcoach. An electric piano in the living room delights keyboardists and vocalists alike.
We strive to keep our home chemical scent-free by cleaning with natural products and essential oils, as well as avoiding chemical pesticides etc. Chemical scent-free laundry detergent as well as chemical free air freshener and insect repellent is also provided. We ask that guests refrain from using artificially scented products while in residence. If advice is needed as to where/how to obtain naturally scented personal care items, we're glad to assist.
Spacious... room to be together.. room to be apart. We've not converted the small study into a dedicated third bedroom as is often done, electing instead to retain it as a multi-use space instead. Our guests are generally more mature adults seeking better quality accommodations and a more open and relaxed atmosphere. Study includes yoga mat etc. as well as a full size drafting table, enabling accommodation of other pursuits. There is also a sofa should you have an extra family member joining you for a day or two. This room is truly meant as another space to retreat, design, think and read, not meant to be pressed into full service as sleeping accommodation for a full week. However, in a pinch, for a couple nights it'll do.

Once we are able to speak directly and see that our home is likely a match, we'll provide documents for your review, documents must be completed and returned direct to us within 12 hours (or other term mutually agreed upon during phone conversation). In the event it proves a mismatch (prior to actual rental payment processing by us), the Guest initiates a cancellation directly via the VRBO system and should receive refund of the service fee collected within a reasonable time frame.

Special note re: MCS - EI
To anyone dealing with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Environmental Illness, Severe Allergies or Asthma. We know we really need an in-depth conversation before you can seriously consider booking. It's difficult to accomplish through system messaging. Please alert us if this is the case in the initial message. I may be able to temporarily relax system parameters so we can speak without incurring a large service fee. You'd have to cancel any temporary (adapted) reservation on your end after we've spoken. If we feel we are a match, you'd do that in order to make the actual desired reservation. If we realized we weren't a match, you'd do that purely for service fee refund. Awkward and involved for both of us but it is an option.
