Terri was an amazing host who accommodated all of our needs and was flexible to any changes. Our experience was great overall and would book again in the future!
Your property was simply beautiful. I enjoyed that beautiful house all the amenities just one suggestion you need to put the television sets on the wall, especially the one in the living room but other than that everything was beautiful thank you so much and we look forward to staying with you again.
Hosted a small gathering for my Mom's 80th birthday in this beautifully decorated and stylish vintage home. The kitchen had everything you could need including a wine/beverage cooler. There was a lot of parking in the front and back of the home which is great because parking on N. State St. is not an option. The entry system was easy to use and we felt safe and secure. The front step into the house was too steep for a few of our elderly guests but the back entry was great! The location is amazing as you can walk to restaurants, a coffee shop, a local grocery store, bowling, and a vintage movie theater! I can't say enough about how perfect this place was. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
We were disappointed with the house and the management. It apparently hasn't been available for rent long and was renovated poorly. The master bedroom had several issues including a bed with broken supports that caused it to cave in when lying on it. The master bathroom has a mirror by the toilet, but not in the room with the sink, and there are no electrical outlets anywhere in the master bathroom. The handle on the shower knob fell off as did the toilet paper holder.
The floor in the kitchen is over an inch taller than the rooms surrounding it, which created a tripping hazard and a few falls and stubbed toes for our kids. The table in the kitchen is assembled incorrectly making it unstable. The stools in the kitchen are dangerously wobbly and need to be tightened as well. One of the dining room chairs has a broken leg that is barely attached and unsafe to sit in.
The owner intends that the house be completely keyless and accessible with a code only. Therefore the front door is locked via a magnetic lock which opens with a code. However, the front door also has a deadbolt that can only be locked/unlocked from the inside. On one occasion we locked the deadbolt from the inside and departed through the back door which can be locked on the doorknob. When we returned to the house we couldn't get in and the owner told us she would have to call a locksmith because she didn't have a key. Fortunately, there is another door to the house that is blocked by a couch in the living room. When we tried that door from the outside, it wasn't locked or latched so we were able to get inside. I was able to get that door locked and latched later from the inside, but it wasn't an easy process.
The bedrooms also need light-blocking curtains due to the streetlight in the front yard and there is a lot of water damage in the building, which might be important for those concerned about air quality. That being said, the air quality didn't bother me other than the scented plug-ins that were overwhelming when we first arrived.
There was a very loud HVAC unit and the property owner was responsive in sending someone to service the unit.
I called and texted the owner to share this feedback directly but didn't get a helpful response so I am leaving it here so future renters can follow up on any of these issues they might be concerned about. The house was in a great location and has potential.

This review is certainly not fact based.
This house has been a short term rental for a year and you can check various other short term rental websites to see consistent 5 star ratings and reviews. The complaints received from your party have not been an issue for any other guests and numerous stays. I incurred a $100 HVAC bill after your stay. The technician found no problems and everything to be in good working condition. The house had previous water damage, which has all been repaired. It was completely renovated last year (to the tune of $75k). I take great pride in my properties. Again, no other guests have been locked out or complained about the furniture, curtains, floor strips, HVAC, etc.
After constant calls, text messages and unwarranted complaints, this was an unpleasant experience for the both of us.
Clearly this complaint is an attempt to sabotage my business; however, I will continue to create positive experiences for past and future guests.
Wonderful stay with family to celebrate Christmas/new years
We had a great stay. It is an older home with water damage at entrance way. But it was very comfortable and there was enough seating in living room. The tables and chairs in the dining room and kitchen were in great need of repair. Our family is spread out so we celebrate Christmas in a central location. We cook and eat at the house. The cooking utensils were sparse.
I came in town for a wedding and needed a nice sized house for my family. We had everything that we needed with plenty of space eating and fun. The rooms were as described and comfortable. We appreciated the flowers and cheese with cracker tray.
